Try holding volume down+home+power buttons. When the phone reboots again, it should go into the download mode. When in the download mode, you should flash a compatible ROM via Odin (possibly from sammobile.com). This should fix the problem.

There are no good methods, from what I read. You can try the method described in this thread, but many people seem to have come to the conclusion that it's not worth it. It makes the phone laggy, among other things.
One thing that you can do to potentially make the phone work better is to change the original T-mobile ROM (G935TUVS4BRA1) to a brandless version (G935UUES4BRA1) via Odin, which you can also get from sammobile.com. I did it and it works better than the original, though I still cannot use the damned phone because it's network locked to T-mobile and I use Orange now...
Good luck.

@an531, I got my T-Mobile Galaxy S7 Edge unlocked by https://www.gsmzambia.com/.
They flashed a modified unlock firmware, then I flashed U firmware over it and my phone is still unlocked.
You need a Windows PC with Teamviewer to do this.

So I have safestrap and ive been using GoldenEye Rom for awhile now. Figured id go and try a different rom. So I installed hyperdrive rom. I backed everything up, deleted the virtual rom and made a new one. Did the installation and when the phone went to restart, it does nothing but vibrate every few seconds. I cant hard reset it or anything. It just goes straight to that again. I am able to enter odin mode and download mode.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

It sounds like you tried to install the ROM on the Stock ROM slot. Which you should not have done. Regardless, perhaps take it to a Best Buy with a Samsung Experience and see if they will re-flash the stock MF3 for you.

Lol, Nope. I installed it on rom slot 1. And oh my. I had the worst experiences with the two local best buys today.
The first rep didnt even know how to goto odin/download mode. And the second rep said that once it was in download mode and it says
"Downloading" that it actually is downloading from the network while in odin mode and to leave the phone plugged in over night and it will work lol.
I just got a hold of ATT and they are sending me a replacement device. The Samsung reps out here in my part of CA are braindead.

Yea, most Samsung reps (at Best Buys anyway) unfortunately don't even know how to use the tools they are provided with. Actually, many of them don't even know they have the tools to start with. It is quite sad. Best Buy stores with knowledgeable Samsung reps are becoming a rare commodity.
Hello everybody, seriously i think I broke my phone but i did it to learn a bit, basically what happened, I installed TWRP Recovery and routed my phone everything gone well. after i have seen a guy talking about ROMs And stuff. I go Samsung Galaxy s7 edge SM-G935F Exynos. I tried to install The ROm via TRWP like everyone do, i followed all steps. on this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-bobcatrom-mm-6-0-1-t3404008
I installd this ROM : [ROM][SM-G935/930F]{~BoBCaTROM~}[v.1.0.4][APF2] ~MM 6.0.1~
after the phone stuck booting up and booting up again stuck on samsung logo and then turn off and boot up again, wont finish. after i tried to do the installation again. ive done it 4 times. but still stuck on booting. it made me crazy i thought if i wipe everything gonna work, i made it worse i wiped everything lol even the back up, and the ROM. Im newbie, so maybe i will learn from that. could someone tell me, if i can make the phone like it was ? and how about the efs is it important, how can get it back ? and can i install other ROMs, or thats it im stuck on the original Firmware. thank you.

Just use Odin to flash a stock rom.
Install stock via Odin and try again.
If at first you do not succeeded, try and try again.
Out of interest, When you installed the ROM, how long did you wait before restarting the device.
(How long did you leave it on the Samsung Startup logo)
I know Stock modded ROMS when first install can sometimes take upto 10 - 15 minutes to Boot for the first time.
(I remember waiting 20 minutes one time on my note 3)

Thank you
My phone come back to normal thank you very much guys
The way to fix this is pretty straight forward and there are many tutorials online on how to do this.
You will need your stock rom (can be acquired from SamMobile) and Odin (i recommend using 3.0.7) and then plugging your device in to your windows computer (does not work on any other os) and reflashing back to your stock rom. This will 100% work and you should just go to YouTube and search for "How to reflash stock Galaxy S7" after downloading your stock rom.

You must choose the firmware that is correct for your model for example if I had a Galaxy S7 and the model number for it is SM-G9358 i'd then choose the one that says its for the SM-G9358 as well as my carrier for example Optus if there is no correct carrier version then just choose one that is from your country it wont make a huge difference you'll be fine.
If you do not know how to find the model number for your phone it should be somewhere in Settings>About or when you are booting on your device.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Alright, so I have an S7 that I bought off of ebay, it was originally sprint, but I use it on Metropcs.
Today, I attempted to Odin root it and it got me stuck in a "Galaxy s7" boot loop. As a result, I looked for the stock, which also put my in a "Recovery booting" loop. Now I don't know what to do. Recovery mode does not work. The only thing I can do is go into download mode.
Some notes: I have/had nougat on it, don't. I wanted to use smart switch, but it needs a serial number, and when I tried to find mine using the IMEI from the download screen to find mine, it said it couldn't find the Serial, so I'm just going to assume it's a fake S7.
If anyone can help at all, or even have an S7 serial, please let me know. I've tried several of the main threads for sprint with the 2.2gb stock AP/CP/CSC, and none of them worked, they all result in boot loop.
Edit: My phone is an S7, NOT an edge. I put this in the wrong section, and I have to wait 20mins to make a new thread.

I'll try that if the current thing doesn't work. What I did just now is I got a file from samfirm which was SM-G930P_1_20161227210652_bpv0ccfhas_fac.zip. Instead of jusst doing the AP/CP/CSC, I also added in the BL, and it seems to be working, and reverted me back to 6?

The one I linked, seemed to work, but it's back on 6, but it's downloading updates, which is likely for 7 again. Thank you alot, I really appreciate it, since I was full of panic seeing as I'm going on vacation within a few days so wanted to have my phone. Leaving this here for anyone who may have the same issue!

Just hit thanks!
I have an official US AT&T S7 Edge bought from the carrier themselves, and I attempted to root it.
Really, I didn't do anything wrong. I turned my phone onto download mode, opened up Odin, selected the root AP and pressed Start.
It performed successfully, however, now it'll show the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge" logo screen on repeat, turning off and on every 2-3 seconds. Not stuck on the regular Samsung logo.
Did it work? Did I break it? What do I do? Do I run the root.bat or am I screwed?
Thanks

the bootloader is locked so no root is available for any snapdragon s7 edge just flash stock rom
Kinda ****ed right now.
Stuck on that loop for a while, tried downloading a stock ROM to flash it with, and it wouldn't work due to multiple Odin errors. Tried everything to do with my USB cable, and still nothing.
Now I can't even get on the recovery boot screen...

whats the link again im stuck in the same exact situation and in need of help very badly very very badly
Hi guys, first time posting as I've been recommended this site as the best place to help me. Basically, i rooted my phone using Odin but decided to go back to a stock ROM. Since unrooting i have been having issues and i am pretty sure its related to the ROM i put on to get rid of the root.
I am desperately trying and failing to find the bog standard official stock ROM for the SM-G935F model. If it helps, i am in the UK and my carrier is/was GiffGaff. If anyone can point this noob in the right direction i would be very grateful :good:

Ok, tried the BTU version and now it seems to have bricked the phone. Filed and now the phone keeps saying "An error occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." but that straight up does not work as this model isnt supported by any version of Smart Switch now for whatever reason.
Going out of my mind here, i have absolutely no idea what to do to just get this phone back to how it was before the root because it seems ODIN just isnt gonna actually get anything onto the phone now
