Hey guys from forum,
I tried google it and also this forum but nothing helps,
I just got samsung s7 and was following the steps of root the phone.
I installed twrp and im trying to find the two files that i have to install but i cant find them on my phone so I need to start over. somehow my phone keep being in a loop and i cant get out. i tried everything recording google.
do you have any ideas, i really hope that i didnt **** up my new phone. thanks a lot
After you instal twrp by odin your phone should not restart. (Turn off option in odin auto reboot) you need to open twrp before boot.
Than when you open twrp first you need to do is wipe data, than i think format data and you need to get window where you need to type yes to confirm wipe. And when you do that all your stuff will be delited from phone. After that you install these 2 stuff i dont know the full name , (super su img, and no verty opt )
I tried wiping the data but it didn't work. it keeps rebooting in galaxy s7 and when I hold top volume home and turn off bottom on it is going intro teamwin. anything else what I can do ? thanks a lot

Just tap on format in twrp and it will ask for confirmation and select yes, but most importantly first be sure that oem unlock is enabled in developer options, then flash super su and no verity opt encrypt and then you are good to go.

Yes, when you are using adb, but flashing custom recovery and zips must need oem unlock enabled.

Please be more specific.
What tutorial did you use?
Did you download clockwork recovery?
Do you have the superuser zip?
If you can enable fast boot and fastboot flash recovery you should be able to mount your usb storage in CWM and then install a ROM and the su zip.
stuck on the nexus s boot screen

i used the one mentioned in addictive tips website (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-root-nexus-s-with-a-single-click-using-superboot/). i basically followed what these guys had mentioned.
since this failed i read that the other option is to go through fastboot > recovery > and clear everything but this did not change anything.
can someone give me a step by step guideline on how to continue. i dont mind going back to the stock 2.3.4 android. i just bought the phone yesterday
Which version do you have? The sprint or t mobile? Check if you can go into fast boot hold down volume up and then powerbutton. If not you may have to Odin it if not. That super one click looks old..

If your ROM flashed incorrectly, it would lead to your phone being in a state where it just shows a GOOGLE with a Padlock; kind of like turning on a computer without an operating system.
You would have to read the instructions on rooting your phone, which involves using fastboot and flash recovery from fastboot (All this is in the rooting guide). Simply reflash the recovery so you boot up back in recovery and try flash the rom again.
The same happened to me, I fixed it buy flashing a stock boot.img

thanks for the replies. how do i flash from the fastboot mode? when i plug it in to my computer i cant see the drive but my computer can detect the nexus s is plugged in
Set up adb first, they have the guides in the dev section, I used wolverines guide, you'll have to look for the software img, I don't know where it is at for the GSM model. Good luck

Sounds like you're rooted and have recovery installed, but your OS is hosed.
Flash a ROM.
thanks for the replies guys. i have the adb setup on my laptop. i took it to one of the stores and he said he cant reflash it for some reason. he said he needs to get some software off samsung and it will take him a day. my phone is brand new and i didnt wanna trust him. do u guys think i should use odin? one of my friend has a galaxy s and he said odin should work fine on my phone.
Can you get into the ClockworkMod recovery menu? Turn the phone completely off then hold VolUp and Power until you get into Recovery.
If you get there, you're golden. Just download a ROM (I recommend Deck's) and away you go.
i can get into recovery but it gives me option like wipe everything and i selected that. but when i reboot the phone the same locked screen pops up. anyone from toronto here who i can contact?

Basically with those wipe commands you make the Rom unuseable. You have to flash a new one or apply it via Odin. There are various guides on this forum section. Odin requires less technical knowledge but is a bit more risky then flashing via recovery. Odin and the Roms for that method can be obtained from samfirmware.com. Zipped roms can be found in the development section here.

I have the galaxy tab 7 7 with Honeycomb ?
I need to hard reset it
how to do it ?
Settings > privacy> factory reset.
Done ;-)
Sent from my GT-P6800 using XDA Premium HD app
Hard reset is slightly different to factory reset. Wiping internal sdcard I believe, and possibly more
For SGS, type *2767*3855# into dialer
Not sure if work on our tab though.

I use the LCD Density Modder Pro v2.4.2

I don't know how to fix this problem
I'm pretty sure a factory reset from settings doesn't touch /system. If you messed up something in there (such as LCD density) your best bet is to flash a stock ROM through Odin. There's a thread in the dev forum that has links to download all the stock firmwares and instructions on how to use Odin.

You should have told the exact problem before.....
Follow the post suggestion above and all will be fine if you follow the guide exactly.
Just make sure you flash P6800 firmware for P6800 & P6810 firmware for P6810.
If you can, factory reset and wipe cache etc in recovery first, then immediately boot into download mode and flash the stock firmware with Odin.

It may or may not work.
My advice to you is to follow the proven guides using Odin 1.85.
Ensure Kies drivers are loaded, but kies not running with using Odin at the same time. They don't play well together.
You don't want to be yet another "plz help I'm bricked" post! Do you?

I haven't use the Odin before
and I can't get it in download mode because I am disabled guy I can't push buttons to get to in download mode
Is your tab rooted yet?
If yes;
And you don't have extended power menu or similar with download mode, recovery etc included, you can download reboot widget from Market (Google Play) and config indiviidual one touch widgets to homescreen for reboot, download, recovery etc. Should make life a little easier......
I wouldn't recommend trying the method shown (edit: in you video) as not for our device.
yes rooted
thank you this widget, I can't use widget for this problem because the LCD Density Modder Pro v2.4.2 broke my tablet.
I was very silly to use app
I tried to make bloody text big lol
So please explain what exact state of your tab? Aslo your model no. and current firmware?
What the tab can and can't do, also yourself?
Just a guess at this "blind" stage that maybe your buildprop file is messed up.
Is it possible to boot into recovery? (yes I know same buttons, but just asking anyway)
I don't know what is version of current firmware. I just got the tab last week. I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7" P6800 3G WiFi
I can do push buttons ok but I can't push 2 buttons all same time.
I am computers geek i have lot of experience with windows operating [3.1/11, windows 98/me/xp/Vista /7] and little bit of android
the tab can boot up [passed lock screen ok but it gives a error ]] I can't go pass this error.
yes can go into the recovery mode
question
where I can download firmware for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7" P6800 3G WiFi?
and
where I can download the Odin
I was wondering if possible Enter recovery mode and downloading mode from command line from pc?
if possible, it will be GREAT

Suppose it doesn't matter if you just want your tab up and running and workiing. Had an idea of just pushing the stock build.prop file to your system directory, but you don't know what firmware version....
Since you can go into recovery, do you have a CWM Recovery and nandroid backup? If so, just flash that back. Wipe data, cahe, format system, advanced/dalvik immediately BEFORE

Yes, if you are familiar with ADB and have it setup already, will be easy
If not, there are guides on the internet for setup and use.
Power up phone;
In CMD type: adb devices
This will check device can connect to PC through ADB CMD - will return device serial no. if ok)
1. In CMD type: adb reboot recovery
2. Wipe & Flash nandroid backup
or
1. In CMD type: adb reboot download
2. Ensure SDamsung drivers are installed to PC
3. Ensure KIES is NOT running
4. Connect phone to PC and wait for driver initialisation
5. Run Odin
6. READ & Follow guide, link to I posted exactly and you should be ok
ok
unfortunately I don't have CWM Recovery and nandroid backup

Hi all,
I was running a jb rom, no problems. Then it bricked.
So Ive rolled back to 3.0.1 everything went well.
I installed Iconaroot apk and ran it ok and achieved root.
I then started to download a rom and the tablet went into sleep mode so I left it for 25mins and then tried to wake it and I found it had shutdown completely. when I tried to reboot it it loads ok I then get a message apk installer complete..I press ok and it then asks me for my tablet password.
I haven't set a password......is there a stock password ? ive tried 0000, 9999 etc etc
now I'm stuck because Ive tried rollingback again but it wont..fails every time.
Ive tried flash using blackthunders tool but it wont.
I'm running out of ideas
If anyone thinks they could help me I would appreciate it
Were u running a tegra owners rom originally? ?
There is no stock password.
Do this:
Complete a full hard reset.
This means doing a full wipe of Data and Cache.
If you have recovery still then use that. You must enable wipe of /data/media.
You can also wipe manually using the reset/volume button combo

The tab should show :
Erasing Data...
Erasing Cache...
It should then vibrate and reboot
Does this happen??
Yes in white writing in the top left corner.
But it doesn't vibrate or reboot. The writing stays on the screen for 40 sec then it goes to android screen then on to ask for the password.

You do have an a500 ae?
Do u still have Skrilax_CZ unlocked bootloader showing on screen??
You could try a fastboot erase...
As far as I am aware the only way to get rid of the p/w screen is by erasing data and cache...
Oh u might be able to use apx mode to reflash the v8 bootloader again...use civs manual nvflash method...no harm in trying.

You are in TWRP which is a custom recovery. Never perform an internal wipe in twrp, it will require you to type in "yes" and will require you to Odin your phone back to stock. Also, never flash a non loki'd kernel if you have a I337. When you boot back into your ROM you will need to see if super user is installed but if not you need to download the one by ChainsDD in play store. This will be the final step to having root access. To exit twrp just go to reboot and click system. To manually enter two you hold down the power button, home button, and the volume up button at the same time. If I were you I would read more about the flashing guides in the general section. But on AMDL the phone is just about unbrickable but be careful and take your time and read read read.

When you say it won't boot, does it not turn on at all? Does it hang on boot? Bootloop?
Guessing you've checked the obvious like charging the battery, trying another plug, etc. The phone shipped with a USB type C charger with a C to C cable, as well as shorter USB A to USB C cable to use with a standard USB charger. I'd try both of them in different wall plugs and the USB A cable in multiple charging blocks.
Can you enter bootloader mode by holding POWER and VOLUME DOWN?
Sorry for not being detailed ?but yes it is stuck in a bootloop in the initial Google screen. It also let's me get into the bootloader by pressing power and vol down. I've tried the factory reset option and still the same thing.

Did you try going into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik cache?
I would suggest flashing factory images, but I am not sure if you will be able to unlock the bootloader if you didn't enable it in developer options. I have read that trying to unlock the bootloader might not work if you didn't enable the option before attempting. Might also cause issues, but if you're already unable to boot, I don't know that it would necessarily be worse.
Google will likely suggest flashing the factory image before an RMA could be initiated. Hopefully someone more experienced than me can confirm if you must enable OEM unlocking before attempting. Unlocking bootloader does wipe data, but this shouldn't be an issue if you already tried a factory reset.
If your bootloader is already unlocked and you modified anything, I would bet a factory image flash would fix it.

Follow step 9 to get your phone working again. That is if you are unlocked.
But don't relock your phone again, go back and read each step and follow it correctly.
Things that cause bootloops:
Not flashing the chainfire's modified boot.img
Using TWRP to install root when you exit it. If your phone is not rooted it will ask you to install root upon leaving TWRP and always say no. SuperSU and root are flashed with a file in TWRP, the file can be found linked in the tutorial I linked above.
