Please bear with me.
Since pokemon go was not release in India so i rooted Yureka with SuperSu while it was on 12.1 to play Pokemon go with hacks and all. I rooted and then installed CM 13 but got to know later on that Poke dont work on rooted phone.
Now what i have done till now is- deleted su file with help of root browser, uninstalled SU flashed app(i think there was a option of unroot) but still was not able to play. (this time got error of unable to authenticate)
Now to hell with root and Marshmallow i just want to go back to stock i.e. cm13 to 12.1. Please give me steps to unroot friends.....
P.S- Battery backup became worst in CM 13 and under 15% battery phone gets stuck in boot loop if net is turned on so cm 12.1 jindabaad.

if you revertback to cm 12.1 via recovery you might face some problems as you are downgrading your system. Go for a clean flash via bootloader. this would help you not to brick your device and you will loose root any ways. If you want to stay on mm flash su file boot your system and then open su app under settings you will find a option complete un root select that and it would reboot. and your phone will get un rooted. p.s you can not remove root just by removing apps from root explorer. Binary still remains in the system.

I would suggest you to going back to stock firmware, because the apps are raising safety net flag as you rooted your device. or you can flash recovery.img of your stock firmware via twrp, or follow this procedure as its easy and noob friendly
1)download the drivers first for your device link :- https://androidmtk.com/download-yu-usb-driver
2)download adb platform tools:- https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
3)download the fast-boot firmware:- http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/tomato/cm-12.1-YOG4PAS8A4-tomato-signed-fastboot-a7a306cebd.zip
4)download factory image maker :- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxGRG9YXw62rUWNLMjdNaGt1a2s/view?usp=sharing
extract the fast boot firmware and factory image maker in same folder. then follow these steps.
put your phone in fast-boot mode and type fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock (will unlock your bootloader)
and now find flash_all.bat file in the folder where you extracted all files and run as admin. let the process finish.
make sure your device is listed in fastboot. And also avoid spaces in paths eg C:\New Folder\fast boot rom\..... instead name folders like C:\New_Folder\fast_boot_rom\...... while extracting both fastboot firmware and tools. note put them in same folder.
I have a XT1572 (Indian variant dual sim) . The sim card works good on both 6.0 & 7.0 (official roms) however remains undetected on any custom rom . Any guidance would be of great help .
Using magisk? It will cause that. Flash magisk uninstaller and reboot system once before flashing a new rom.
Tried but no success

So I was on stock mm , had magisk -uninstalled and rebooted afterwards . Installed RRemix(RR-N-v5.8.5-20171230-clark-Final) . Again no sim . Attaching two screen shots for your reference .
One thing to note I have a dual sim variant and under all custom roms imei of only one is being displayed .
This whole thing is very strange since I could run Lineage very easily on the same phone sometime back , roughly around Oct'17 . Used the phone on stock nougat afterwards .
Anyone ?

I am very well aware of the fact that lineage would not run on nougat modem. Have tried aicp rremix unofficial lineage etc . The issue remains the same no sim detected .
What I have done for installation -
fastboot install marshmallow/nougat build (depending upon the custom rom)
flash latest twrp
in twrp factory reset (don't mount/unmount anything, all default)
rom boots but doesnt detect any sim .
details of only one imei of the two is displayed under about phone .

Have you tried this version with this guide?
P.S: Nougat has 9 system.img_sparsechunk's. So flash accordingly and then try any other custom ROMs.
P.P.S: Flash Modem twice if you get any 'prevalidation failed error'

I'm afraid it must be your device issue.
Cause last week I followed the same steps to Flash Stock Nougat and went back to NucleaROM.
You sure you are using Nougat Modem based Custom ROMs?

Very very strange because I do recall that all these custom ROMs used to run fine without any such stupid issues back in October last year . its really disheartening. Yes I am using nougat firmwares for nougat modem compatible ROMs and mm firmware for rhe mm compatible one's . Its just that be it any custom ROM this thing won't work at all ! Is it anyhow related to recovering phone from brick state because I do remember that I had to flash the bootloader on a memory card in order to get the device up ?
Appreciate your efforts brother.
i have similar problem

HI there , I hope my constant requests aren't bothering . If they are kindly let me know & I shall refrain in future .
I just realised one thing . On installing nougat fastboot file from " https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/xt1572firmwareclarkretasiaindiads7-t3735257" as per suggestions I get model as XT 1572 on connection to PC . Although in recovery mode when connected (twrp) the same pc recognizes the phone as XT1575 . Is it normal ?

Yep. It is normal. TWRP was probably based out on XT1575. But it doesn't matter.
Only modems differ between XT1575 and XT1572.
Flash the MM firmware, make sure the modem has no validation issues, then flash the custom ROM you want. Flashing with Nougat firmware won't allow boots. Also, sometimes the MM firmware just doesn't work, and flashing stock firmware will "rejuvenate" it.

I wanted to try installing it on 6.0 . The install process didn't initiate saying that the bootloader (A**52) isnt compatible.
Plus I noted that on downgrading to 6.0 from 7.0 the loader and gpt bin gave failure errors in fastboot.

GPT is not downgradeable and it doesn't need to flash successfully. Also, one you are on 0xA052 firmware, you can't go back, but you can edit the rom's files and make it skip the bootloader check. This is a quote of myself on how to do that from the LOS thread,
"Extract the ROM zip into it's own subdirectory. Then go into the folder META-INF, then com, then google, android, then open updater-script in a text editing program. I prefer Notepad++. Locate the line that says assert getprop ro.bootloader. Should be line 2. You can either add your bootloader by copying another item, or this is easier, edit a line already there, such as "|| getprop("ro.bootloader") == "0xA048" ||" and replace 0xA048 with 0xA052 or the bootloader your device has. Then save it by going to the root folder, not the folder labeled "lineage-14.1-xxxxxxxx-nightly-clark-signed", but the folder with the folders install, META-INF, system, and etc. Select everything by dragging your cursor over all the files, then right-click, send-to, compressed zip. Name it anything, then copy it to your device however you prefer, I just sideloaded it in TWRP. If you get an error talking about a digest file, you might have accidentally deleted something you shouldn't have."

INSTALLING FULLY FUNCTIONAL MAGISK WAS REALLY TROUBLESOME FOR ME(E6533)
sometimes it was showing error while flashing
SOMETIMES it was flashed without error but system failed to reboot/bootloopedcredits:
@topjohnwu for magisk
I have tested this and is working fine in my xperia z3+ dual(E6533)...but m sure it will work with all models of z3+/z4.so try it & let others know it.
PREREQUISITES:
1.ur firmware/rom must be nougat 7.1. [please dont try on MM/LP]
2.USB DEBUGGING AND INSTALLATION OF UNKNOWN SOURCE MUST B ENABLED.
2.FIRMWARE should be un-rooted[ if u have installed supersu/tried magisk earlier/failed/erronous attempt of installing magisk.........then use unsu.zip /magisk uninstaller before proceeding]
3.the boot image(new_kernel) over which magisk will be installed is stock nougat 7.1.1 so this method will work in any rom which can be booted via stock boot image.eg.it will work on m-rom and stock (m sure of it)
4.twrp must be installed
5.basic knowledge of fastboot commands for flashing kernel
lets start....
1.in twrp first of all clean any traces of supersu/failed magisk installation by flashing "unsu.zip or magisk uninstaller"
2.power off ur device and then flash the "new_kernel.img via fastboot....use these commands
a.imp to check whether the kernel will boot in ur device or not (if this step shows any error, plz dont proceed to b.
in cmd window : fastboot boot new_kernel.img
b.to flash the kernel
in cmd window :fastboot flash boot new_kernel.img
IMP:steps 1 & 2 are can also be used when u have met with an unexpected bootloop/restart problem at any time( if u don't want to flash the complete stock ftf, this boot image will help u in letting ur device come out of bootloop.
3.proceeding to our main thread....now boot into recovery & flash "magisk.zip"
4.wipe cache & dalvik.and reboot.
PROPERTIES OF THE KERNEL (new_kernel.img:---

2. DM-Verity- disabled.
3. TWRP- disabled.
4. DRM Fix- enabled.

u can try flashing magisk over stock.but whenever i did that my device used to go into bootloop.thats why i've to experiment with different twrps, kernels to detect the culprit.

It looks like OEM unlock (in developers settings) is hidden on US phone models
The last Samsung I made root was S5e and I am wondering is S6L possible
sadly no
Nope, Samsung hasn't even released the stock firmware yet so any development is currently halted
Can the user unlock the bootloader then?
Haven't tried it, but it should be possible
I don't know about unlocking the bootloader. This page (updated in Apr 2020) showed a way https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-samsung-galaxy-tab-s6-lite/ to root it. I haven't tried it yet. If anybody tries, please leave some comments.
Edit: how to unlock the bootloader https://gearallnews.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-samsung-galaxy-tab-s6-lite-guide-2020-2/
I managed to unlock the bootloader with the tutorial on http://androidbiits.com/root-samsung-galaxy-tab-s6-lite-sm-p610-sm-p610x-easily/, but rooting with the Magisk file failed.
I think i will try it later.

I just read about that module. I post the info here for lazy people like me "Please note that a consequence of using this module is that Widevine DRM will fall back to using L3 instead of L1. This means that Netflix will play all content in SD quality, regardless of your subscription type"

Same here. Not a noob despite being long time lurker and not posting. I have been rooting devices forever but this one is escaping me.
Using the guide and getting a vbmeta signature failure as well. I tries 3 various firmware versions to Magisk patch the required 4 files, but get the same error every time.

Yes, it does work but won't go above SD.
I bought the S6 Lite as a replacement for a Tab Pro 10.1 (SM-T520) which was running LOS 14.1. Netflix was working, but looked like crap. Downloading prior to watching improves the quality a bit, but you could see it is SD instead of HD.
I have rooted every Android devices I have had, but this time I do not want to lose the Widevine L1 certification. The SM-T520, which was in 2014 Samsung's high end tablet (>$600), only had one update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4....rooting was the only way to move up. I hope Samsung will support this device a little better.

Here is what ik did:
Starting from the step when the firmware is downloaded
Unpack the firmware with Winrar
Select the boot.img l4 file and use 7-Zip to transform it to boot.img
Transfer the boot.img file to tablet and patch the file with Magisk manager
Transfer the patched-boot.img to computer
Rename the file to boot.img
Put tablet in Bootloader-mode

Here is what ik did:
Starting from the step when the firmware is downloaded
Unpack the firmware with Winrar
Select the boot.img l4 file and use 7-Zip to transform it to boot.img
Transfer the boot.img file to tablet and patch the file with Magisk manager
Transfer the patched-boot.img to computer
Rename the file to boot.img
Put tablet in Bootloader-mode
Flash the boot.img with Odin 3.14

Thanks for the steps, got it working! To add a note for those reading the above comment. After renaming the file to boot.img, use 7z and 'add to archive' the boot.img to make it a boot.tar for Odin to be able to flash it.
Another thing that might help folks: The boot.img.l4z wasn't working with 7z to decompress the l4z. I installed l4z and moved the boot.img.l4z into the folder with l4z.exe. Then I ran the command 'l4z boot.img.l4z boot.img' in the folder where l4z.exe was located to get the boot.img.
Сan some one to upload a ready-made installation ROM file for direct flashing into Odin please? Cause I can not understand how to transfer and patch all this different parts together. I don't understand which files I need to marry each other
Please help to root with MAgisk tab6 lite (wifi only SM-P610).

Hi!
I had Magisk v23 working fine with Magisk hide but then I upgraded to v24. Magisk app successfully installed and shows Magisk not present. And when I try to DirectInstall Magisk, I get verification failed error. Attached both screenshots.
Now, I have installed and confirm TWRP is working but do not know how to make Magisk working again and it seems it gonna be a wipe. Any help appreciated.

Step by step: Magisk 24.1 is new and as you have seen completely different.

Issue is that on my other phone, Sony Xperia XZ Premium G8142, the same in-app upgrade weas successful with out any issues. I lost Magisk Hide but an extension recovered that function. But it all went haywire on this S8

This guide expects me to know what ROM I have. Thing is, I do not know what my device really is. It's running a ROM that I do not recognize (My post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-and-odin-cannot-flash.4372669/post-86069051). I do not have the sources for it so I cannot acquire the required two files. Ramdisk is Yes as per my screenshot but I cannot follow the rest of the guide without the files.
try this
Check hardware and software info Galaxy:
*#12580*369#
Android 9 shows almost certainly a stockrom Pie .

I just TWRP it. It went smoothly. I love a new ROM but need to know what device is it.
Download mode say it is SM-G950N
Android say it is SM-950FD
Both SIM slots have the same IMEI number. This part is beyond my understanding.
I have Odin and know the basics. Just need to find a ROM I can go for: What official I should flash first and what custom. Any recommendation?
As soon as you make a TWRP total backup, you can see your boot.img and move a copy to your internal sd-card. There it can be picked up by Magisk and patched....Magisk will put it in your download folder on the internal sd-card ...
for the best Rom ask members with your S8 phone. I'am on the S7 Edge.

Just found out:The "famous" secret codes only work on stock based ROMs ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

I have been trying to make the total backup but I do not see any boot.img:
And I do not see the file in the Device/TWRP/Backups:
Again, I must be missing something obvious. And as per the Magisk guide, I need the boot.img
magisk 24 is ****, it's bricking MediaTek powered Samsung phones
Boot.img from TWRP backup
In clockworkmod kernel and recovery are backed up as IMGs. But in TWRP it is boot.emmc.win Anybody know how to convert jt to boot.img? Help will be really appereciated. Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

I must tell you that my custom rom for the s7 gives me the boot.img as the first file as soon as i open the zip.
the boot.img can also be reached by downloading the right stock rom for your phone. In that case it is the best practice to patch the whole
AP file by using Magisk.
