And if Possible please post LOs 14.1 if possible because the dev took all his roms down

@Flegmon old thread, but maybe you succeeded in retrieving the stock EU 6.0.1 boot.img for the SM-J510FN and could share it?

S7 Edge roms, twrp, etc

Hi everyone I'm new to samsung devices but definitely not to android in general since I come from years of htc devices, root, flashing and so on.. still I am facing a bit of confusion here so instead of writing in every single thread I'll ask you here my questions:
1. As I read on TWRP official thread "it's incredibly hard to brick a sam device"; anyway I understand that this is never a risk free process but reading the comments it seems like people on nougat firmware are facing some kind of trouble so my question is: Is it safe to flash twrp on nougat firmware? And which one? 3.1.1-0 latest version should be fine right?
2. Let's suppose I'm now on twrp but instead of rooting the stock rom I flash directly a custom rom, I still need to flash "dm-verity and force encryption disabler"? After some reading I see people that flashes this after every new rom, someone suggests to use 2.2 version but the latest is 5.xx and the content of the zips is different between this two versions (5.xx contains a chromeos folder, the other one no??)
3. "Update modem and bl" , this is meant for those who want to flash a rom based on a higher firmware right? I'm on the latest (may security update) so there's no need to update modem and bl at least I think (?)
That's all, I'm sorry for this long post and my bad english!

Bootloader and modem question

Hey I want to install Lineage OS on my S5 G900F. I had this rom not long ago but I remember I had random reboots. I don't really understand how the bootloader and modem works ( I've read other threads before opening this but I'm not sure what to do so it's best to ask instead of breaking the phone ;D). If I will have android 7.x which bootloader and modem should I install? The latest and if yes where can I get download for those (I saw there is an option to extract it from official rom but the official one is version 6.0.1 so I'm not sure what to do).
If anyone can clear my misunderstanding and help me I will be glad, Thanks!

I am not using it but on the official LineageOS thread they recommend bootloader+modem combo from the latest available stock firmware which is android MM 6.0.1 of course.
You can get them for example from here (newest ones are: BL - CQI6, Modem - CQA9).
Thanks for the replay in the end I went back to stock rom and reinstalled lineage OS. Phone runs smooth and no crash until now. I think my problem is solved.

Galaxy Sky J3 SM-S320VL Progress***

I have been messing around with my Galaxy J3 and I found it hard to root. I was able to flash a custom boot.img with a permissive status but my Wifi was broken and I don't have this phone activated with Tracfone. So instead of investing money into this phone I compiled a permissive kernel for the phone based on S320VLUDU1APG2 firmware but unfortunately I cant flash it because I downgraded the phone to S320VLUDU2APJ3. I'm not sure if this is causing the problem of flashing the kernel but if you guys would want me to upload links for my boot.img with the kernel built in and my kernel file alone *both are signed* let me know and I will.

You were able to modify the boot image and it flashed and booted?
Aside from the other issues how did you flash this, with odin?
Also what do you mean 'signed'? Signed with what?

Is there TWRP / CWM for J320A (Exynos) - Please Help

Everything said in title, please point me in the right direction.
Great news! and I am only self replying due to Finding the first unofficial custom recovery for the J320A / J320AZ / J320AG. (Exynos Chipset).
it can be found here https://www.androidinfotech.com/2018/02/root-samsung-galaxy-j3-2016-sm-j320az-marshmallow.html
Will be testing shortly on a J320A, currently running a stock 7.1.1 AT&T Rom.
This is new as of 2018 (hence the post being from Feb of this year).
Thanks goes to Android Info Developers-Kumar, Rain n Or.
I am also still considering putting together my own custom build of ClockworkMod, I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet due to J320A/AZ/AG users having the ability to root on 6.0.1 and dump recovery.
EDIT: So after flashing the recovery it appears to just be a regular stock J320AZ recovery (dont worry, cant brick due to being the same phone physically as the J320A / AG.
I Find this odd, and am wondering why something like this is online :/ is there a reason it ran stock recovery on my device, or is someone just packaging stock as TWRP unofficial?

PROBLEM SOLVED How retour to official Roms galaxy s8 from a custom Rom???????

Hello everyone, someone among all those present and absent could inform us of how to revert to the official OREO firmware to a G950F with TWRP and OREO custom Rom ????.
I guess the first step would be to flash a stock recovery and remove the root since it seems that the error is given first by the custom recovery and maybe also the supersu.
This problem we have many users of the S8 that, for trying or for not being satisfied with the custom rooms we want to return to the official romm.
Any advice is appreciated in advance.:fingers-crossed:
Since this topic does not have any "solver", I had no choice but to try to solve it myself and at this moment I have installed the OFFICIAL version G950FXXU4CRJ5_G950FOXM4CRJ3_PHN which is the last one to date from the Samsung ovens.
The only necessary material is the file "] "RMM-State-Bypass.zip" flashed with the TWRP after having deleted the root. That is the solution that has allowed me to return to the official Rom.
you can download your version on the internet if you search and flash it with Odin....look at S8 Guides etc...
