I can't figure out how to remove the date and time from my google photos, has anyone had this issue and has been able to resolve it? Any help would be great.

What exactly do you mean? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think "removing" the time and date has ever been a feature in Google Photos.

I've only just started using the 'GPS Photo' option on my HD2.
..and I think I found a glitch. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
I took a photo using the GPS photo option and when I uploaded it to Flickr...it shwed me somewhere else!!! The camera seemed to log the data as
52.390350 0.690536
whereas I'm near
52.390350 -0.690536
..so it seems to have missed out the minus sign in the embedded data in the photo.
I don't know that much about GPS and the workngs of it, but I wanted to use it on holiday to show off where I am! Clearly this is a bit of a worry if it's embedding the wrong data.

Edit: What I've noticed is that the twitter client on the HD2 and another piece of software I bought all report the location as correct ie they show the missing minus sign. It seems it's only the GPS Photos that's getting it wrong

But there's a strange point: If I understood correctly, your problem is about the longitude, while my problem is related to latitude.
Oh! I just saw that the pictures taken from the footprint program are not that bad and their GPS location is correct. They too have 5MP, but we can control almost nothing about the camera settings. :-(

No, I didn't solve it. I just gave up using the GPS Photo option and use Twitter client instead

Where is the GPS photo option on the default camera? I did the registry tweak but i don't see it.
Does anyone know how to or how long it takes to have ur Phone and Google contacts link together on the CM7 Roms?....From what Im thinking it seems to do it automatically...anytime I add a new number I create a contact for both Google and my Phone so there are basically two copies of each contact(I do that becuz I don't like how Google distorts ur photos when u add one to their contacts..so I only add them to the phone portion to keep a clean copy)...but sometimes it doesn't link together.....
I have tired everything that I could think of..I deleted the contacts (both)....I've added the phone part first then Google....that didn't work....I added Google then then the phone..and that didnt work....it looks like over time the phone would link them but I can't determine how true that is or was it something that I did to get them to link together....if anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatful.....thanx.....
Oh and I'm using CM7-RC3 (Vivid theme) on the Evo...I'm not sure if the theme part matters....thanks again.

I did a clean install of 4.2.1 and patched to 4.2.2 but instant upload doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there any fix for this? I like it uploading my pictures to Picasa whenever it's charging but now it seems that the feature is completely broken. I haven't had a single picture sync since the 11th and that was the day before I upgraded to 4.2.2.
It shows in accounts that Google Photo Sync is syncing (no failures) but it just simply isn't syncing because nothing is going to my instant uploads folder. So I'm wondering if other people are having this issue. I did take many pictures but none of them will sync.

Mine appears to be working but earlier today I did see that there was a long period during the day where Google sync was completely down.

Dang. I can't seem to get it to work. Is there something I could try clearing?
Did you clear your Google Framework Services data or whatever to get the update?
If so, try deleting and re adding your google account.
Dumb question,but did you remember to sign into Google plus after you did a clean install? Instant upload is a feature of Google plus...and, well..I would not be surprised if you didn't open it because quite frankly it is not all that popular...

No that's a great question. Actually I haven't ever opened Google Plus yet. I'll see what happens.

That's not work for me :'(
My nexus 7 seems to sync my G+ photos perfect but my S3 with CM10.1.2 doesn't sync them so I don't think it's a 4.2 issue. Anybody have a fix for this?
I have already set geotagging to enabled in the Settings, but when I take a picture and view it in the Gallery there is no location information.

Stupid question but is your GPS on? Did you confirm you have GPS lock before taking picture? You can check your location on map to see if it's fixed already. Also you need to tell it you want to see the info in the menu, I think it's called tag buddy or something, otherwise picture shows clean without any text, even if tagged.

GPS is not on, but there's the other method of acquiring location information, right?
And here's the thing. Pictures taken using the stock camera have location information displayed by Tag Buddy, but not pictures taken with "A Better Camera" app.
I have a strange problem that began sometime in the past 3 days.
I went to post a picture to Instagram and noticed no photos were present under "Gallery". Even after taking a photo within the Instagram app, the new photo didn't show up under "Gallery" in the Instagram app.
I started digging and found out that this problem started within the past 3 days. I could identify this time frame because Google Photos uploaded a photo taken on my phone 3 days ago. Pictures since then have not been found by the Google Photos app. I have already reset the cache and data of the Media Storage system app - it rebuilt the Gallery app's index, but still the problem persists. I've also reinstalled affected apps.
Google Photos sees pictures in other folders outside of "DCIM\Camera", such as downloads and Music. So the issue seems to be related somehow to the DCIM\Camera folder in particular.
List of symptoms:
Cannot access photos from Instagram app, but I can share from Gallery app to Instagram app
Message+ crashes when trying to add media to a text
Cannot access photos in Camera folder from Google Photos
Gallery and Files apps seem to access files normally
Any help would be appreciated! I'm using a Verizon V20, stock OS.

No, I'm sorry. I ended up just backing up my pictures to my computer and factory resetting my phone... I need it working correctly for work.

Yup - so far so good. I have all my apps reinstalled and accounts added...no issues. I really have no idea what happened, but definitely sounds like a V20 issue. Do you have the Verizon version too?
Oh! I just realized that I just installed the new security update the other day. I'm pretty sure it lines up with the problem starting. I bet that's the cause.

Also have a verizon version and just installed the new security update also. Looks like I'll have to look more into my security settings. If I cant find a solution I'll have to just do a factory reset.

I bet the update borked the file system - not sure if there is a setting to fix it. That's a pretty big problem if it happens to everyone though.
Any other suggestion for this? I literally tried everything and I do not want to factory reset my phone. Its very frustrating!
I did the Factory Reset hoping it would be the 'fix'.
It worked for the rest of the day, then failed. I also have other Apps freezing or crashing.
After a lot of effort in a search for the solution, I slowly adopted the repetitive sentence that the phone is nearing the end-of-lifecycle and not enough time was spent making sure the update would work fluidly with all aspects of the phone. I *****ed and moaned for hours and got a nice discount to upgrade to the V40. Two days with the V40 and all is well in my world again.
