I have the XT720 version of the le pro 3 I have the following issues:
1. My phone charges to 100% but whenever I shut it off for the night and turn it on in the morning the battery always less by about 30%
2. I'm able to charge the device and use ADB but my computer's can't mount the phone as removable storage. I always get a device not recognized message in Windows.
If anyone has a solution for these issues I'd really appreciate the help

Your device not being recognised by your computer: Sounds like a usb driver issue.
Try reinstalling the Google USB driver, and while you are at it, check to make sure that you ADB is up to date as well.
Theres is an easy way to do this quickly: @mauronofrio built an excellent tool that does all kinds of stuff including: keeping your drivers and adb up to date. Plus, it will give ADB system wide privileges.
Its called : TOOL] TOOL ALL IN ONE (Drivers|Unlock|TWRP|Factory Image|Stock Recovery)
Get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3358711
* If your issue is related to drivers or software on the windows side, the updates may resolve the issue.
* Just make sure to give the software Firewall privileges, so it can check for updates.
* Have you tried using another USB C cable?
* Do you have an OTG drive? If so does it work?
* Is quick charge working?

Yes quick charge works ADB works ( I used the tool you mentioned above already) charging the phone through PC also works. But when I select the mtp option the storage doesn't show in my PC. And I have no idea why the phone battery drain's when the phone is completely off. I searched for others that might have the same issue but didn't find anything.
Oka I have a idea.
On couple rom I have flashed I have had problems connecting to computer.
Try this
I will take that your rooted.
When trying to connect to computer undo debugging in your development setting.

Thanks for the tip at first it wasn't working so I used revo uninstaller to remove all the drivers and reinstalled the Google one again. Quick question is there a cable /cable and charger brand you can recommend for the le pro 3? Because on the leeco cable my phone isn't always recognized on my computer and the other cable I have is from the ulefone t1. That's the one that works but I'm selling the phone so. I'm going to need a new USB cable

In regard to your cable question, I bouught these realy nice cables for only $15 ( and it is a 4pack!) :
https://www.amazon.com/ONSON-Braide...49579&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=Onson+usb+c&psc=1 The quality is extremely good they are thickly braided and the cables come with a 12 month warranty.
One last suggestion. Have you tried everything we have mentioned, But, in a different Admin user? it is still possible that the issue is with your PC and corruption.
If you still have tried another user or computer. Sell it as it is , rooted with a custom Rom as MclBenner suggested. Theres alot of people who are too intimidated to try rooting or learning how to install a custom Rom on their own and they will certainly pay close to full retail value , maybe more.
Good Luck!

Are you trying to have your Nexus S recognized as a USB storage device or a Nexus S device? Have you tried connecting to a different USB port on your computer?
Same problem - seemed to start a week ago when I updated Music app. Tried 3 different PC's and 3 different cables with no luck. Then tried turning off whilst lead still plugged in and it immediately rebooted so I unplugged, put it in recovery mode then plugged in lead and rebooted and it seemed to kick it into life... since then works ok once I'd rebooted PC's. Weird as hell and initial thought USB phone connector was broken but seems fine now. Good luck!

try the samsungdriver , you can find it on nexusshacks.com together with a tutorial on how to install it . worked for me.
Same problem here , just tried switching the cable from my old htc shift and it worked . The one that came with the nexus is having problems , seems to be one more issue for the books for this phone , from the reception , battery use ....
My stock cable didn't support development and my phone keeps disconnecting.
So i tried a different cable, which is from my Nokia N85. It worked fine.
1. try other computer , determinate it is cable, USB port, windows driver or phone problem
2. try delete old device displays in your computer and reinstall, try use "windows update" to find correct driver , by the way , i didn't have to install new driver after i update from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 , so i guess that's same driver
...
and , other silly idea , try to plug it into other new USB port of your computer...
i'm not sure , but sometimes i plug some device out and plug it into other port , windows just reinstall the same driver and disiplay #2 for the same device...
I wanted to flash XXKPE so I backed up with TiB and connected phone in Mass Storage mode but the phone is not recognised. There is no sound of new device being connected. The phone charges but does not mount. Till a few days back everything was okay but suddenly this problem. Please advice.
Edit : I tried different cables and problem not resolved. Also connected Wave2 phone and it connects, so something in the phone. I feel the Legend-X theme which gives a sound message "Recharge Enabled" when I connect is somehow responsible.
I don't know if it will be useful but I would try to download Samsung Kies and reinstall drivers with it.

Maybe I can try but not sure if this is the problem. Normally when a device is connected, Windows makes a sound indication a new connection and then loads the drivers. In this case there is no sound but the mobile charges and also the cable works for other mobile.

I do not have any problem with it dude. This fw is stable among previous releases of gb but results are different on different devices. For instance.after flashing 8 -10 times, I could not root it the way others are rooting the phone. I had to use an agree flashing the cwm. Done ppl have kernel panic making it un usable. I donot have single kernel panic. So its not theme,.may be something else. May be others who are using the theme can opine.

I am having a problem with my USB connection, it's gotten a bit warped...probably from all my rooting and Odining! I can charge with it, but my computer will not recognize it. I have the Total Equipment Protection, so I should be able to get this fixed, but I want to return to stock before bringing it in. I would Odin the phone, but at the moment, because of the USB issues, Odin is not recognizing the phone. I looked for links to flashing Stock without Odin in this forum, but they seem to be pretty old. Is there I flashable zip file I can use in CWM that will return my phone to the current unrooted stock rom?

I don't think. So. Even if you could get full stock your boot recovery will not be stock. But I could be wrong. Which end is bad the phone side or the usb side. You can always try a different port on your computer and see if that will work. Worst comes to worse. You can brick it and get one tell them that you was having charger issues and. And you went to plug your phone into the pc and you droped it and it wouldn't turn on.

Doesn't the stock kernel remove root from ReRFS? I think I remember it doing so. Try it, there isn't much to lose. If that works you can just use the stock recovery .zip. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1027904

Oh ok. Well, it definitely has power! Actually, I had a friend who had a similar problem. His phone was a vibrant, but they are pretty much the same phone. All-in-all, it was trial and error to get it detected. I would get it like maybe 1 out of 40 attempts? We finally returned him to stock via odin, but he ended up getting a replacement. Surely a hardware issue. The weird is though, the computer would only find the phone if it was in download mode? Anyways, keep your phone in download mode, and have odin open. First try to take the battery out, have the cable plugged into your pc, odin is still open, and put your battery in while holding the "1" button. It should boot in download mode, and MAYBE see the phone? Try that. Also, make sure the port you're connecting to (on your pc) is directly attached to the motherboard. Mess with different ports. Let me know if there's any luck.

Oh, it's a hardware issue. I used this cable, and this USB port on my computer, many times without issue until the other day. Even if I do get the phone to appear in Odin, I am not sure I want to flash it that way, as I am afraid I will lose the connection midway, and then where will I be? If I can run a zip file in CWM as mentioned in a post above that seems like a safer way to go, and it's easy enough to copy that to the SD card when it's out of the phone. I would like my phone to look normal before I bring it in. It will probably be a couple of more days before I do this, though. I am not ready to yet.

Yeah. You can flash a zip and return it to stock, but cwm will still be on there. The only way to return (officially) to stock would be to use odin. This would replace the custom recovery with the stock recovery. Depending on which modem you're on, you can flash a "stock" rom, and put tw launcher on it? As long as you have an updated backup, you can odin. Even if odin fails in the process, this will only soft-brick the device. And that is an easy fix. Just go into download mode and try again. Lol. My buddy with the vibrant had odin fail many times. We actually recovered from the "pc-phone" error screen. If you're getting a replacement, you must put it back to stock. Depending on which insurance/warranty service you're using, it is wise to play it safe. I highly recommend you get a replacement though. Just tell them you have a usb hardware issue.

My tablet has been working fine for as long as I can remember. It's unlocked and was running a rooted stock rom. All good so far.
I can charge the tablet fine. Thought I would try flashing Paranoid Android. Here's where my problems started.
Plugged the tablet into my PC to backup the contents of the storage, wasn't detected at all. No flicker of anything in device manager. Have hooked it up to a linux machine and watched the output of syslog to see if it was spotted there, but nothing.
Decided to not worry about backing up and did a full wipe, apart from system, to take it back to factory.
No difference.
Downloaded Paranoid Android via the browser and flashed it from CWM. Flashed fine, but still no USB.
Now I want to take it back to stock so I can send it back under warranty, but HOW?
Any bright ideas??
Is there any sort of USB drivers in your device manager relating to your tablet.
You need to remove those drivers, restart and re-plug.
If not, I'd try to download a flash zip, and flash it from the device itself, as you won't be able to flash it from PC if it doesn't recognise it.

Suggestions for where I can get a flash zip of the stock rom? As far as I can tell, it doesn't exist.

Nope. Nothing. The USB port is completely useless for anything but charging now.
A friend has just flashed a stock image for me and sent me a nandroid backup of his tablet, going to try and get that onto it now.
And now I'm back with a stock rom, but custom recovery. Need to work out how to flash the stock recovery back from the recovery.img file.
All sorted. Used Flash Image GUI to flash the stock recovery.img back. Only thing I haven't been able to do is relock the bootloader, but I can't see that affecting my RMA.
They're picking it up in the next couple of days then should be no more than 10 days to get it back to me.

An unlocked bootloader is a voided warranty. In all likelyhood, they will reject the warranty validity and make you pay for repairs.

If you have changed the USB port check the connection at both ends of the ribbon cable if they are both OK then the motherboard is at fault. The nexus7 has the worst protective circuitry I've ever seen on a device so its easy to inadvertently damage the motherboard.

Mine is on its way back for 3rd for this very same issue. So we'll see what they repaired this time or if they just replaced it. Hopefully the latter because my warranty is now up. Do they have a warranty period on their repairs?
1st Mainboard
2nd USB Assembly

That is correct. I received it back yesterday & the replaced the mainboard again. This time they put in a 8G board instead of a 32G so it had to go right back. I am not sure if it ever be fixed, there is something going on. I should not have had to send it in 3 times for the some issue.
at some point in the last 6 months or so, my phone lost the ability to connect to my computer- I've tested by uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers on my computer, using virtual drivers, etc. Everything I could- I even tested on other computers that it has worked on in the past. Nothing helps.
I then decided it must be on my phones end, so I went so far as to replace the USB connection board inside my phone and that doesnt even work.
I used to have my phone rooted, but that was lost at some point over a couple OTA updates-- Is there anyway I can restore root access on my device without using a USB connection, or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the connection issue?
Thanks!
Did you check the cable?

Multiple cables as well. I'd do that before replacing the board!

Try the following
1)Boot into booloader and check in device manager if the phone is detected if so then go flash-all.bat 4.4.3( will wipe your phone, new phone factory)

Look for flashify, a app can flash recovery, once you have recovery, you can have root.

please answer below question
1. what os use on your PC ?
2. do you install others driver beside google adb and fastboot?
3. what version of adb and fastboot you have if you have installed before
4. you said you have OTA udpate from gogole or form the ROM developer?
note:
you need to install latest adb and fastboot. latest version is .31
if you have other 2 or more driver installed before, it may crash or mis regonice the phone, like samsung and google driver for Galaxy nexus which i facing.

I have same problem, i tried even on linux. What is worst i removed rom from sdcard and now my current rom crashed. When i try to pull new rom via adb, new file is created but is "empty". Usb otg doesn't work in recovery ;/
I am seeing the same thing also. I even bought a USB replacement part on ebay and installed it. The PC still doesn't see the device.
