After a few years of sitting dormant, I found my Note 3 in a drawer a few days ago (thought i sold it on Swappa) ...
I used what I thought was the correct process to return it to stock:
- Turn off device
- Simultaneously hold VOL UP, HOME, POWER
- Release POWER when you see the Note 3 logo
- Release VOL UP & HOME when you see the System Recovery screen
- VOL UP after warning
- Using VOL DOWN choose WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET
- Select using POWER button
- Using VOL DOWN choose "Delete ALL User Data"
- Select with POWER button
- Highlight REBOOT SYSTEM
- Select REBOOT SYSTEM NOW using POWER button
Upon reboot, the device went to the fresh set up screen (choose language, connect to wifif, etc) but Safestrap and Alliance Rom were still installed.
So I am wondering what the correct OR updated way to return to stock is, or where that can be found, as the few I have found haven't worked, and it's been SO LONG since I ran the Note 3, I honestly don't remember much about it at all.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Did u get the solution?
If yes, how did u do it?
Otherwise u have to hold volume down + home button then press power button, release all n PES's volume up to enter download mode, at that state u have to connect to the computer & flash firmware via Odin

I have a Samsung Galaxy S (i9000). If I connect it to PC, I can see it is charging but I can not see the phone nor in Explorer or Download Mode.
The phone is using [NIGHTLY][ROM][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 for Samsung Galaxy S and I have installed it via CWM. No matter what ROm I installed via CWM, I could not see the phone in Explorer.
Another problem I encountered is that the phone can not be shut down: if I choose Shut Down it is restarting.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Are you on windows 8?
Install the newest USB-Driver in Windows-7-Compatibility-Mode. If you are not on windows 8 it could help anyway.

Another solution for accesing your phone would be Airdroid on Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5zYW5kLmFpcmRyb2lkIl0.
I would try to reflash your rom to solve your other problem.
I am using Windows 7.
I want to access Download Mode in order to change the ROM with ODIN.
I do not know how to reflash it. Can you provide me more details?
Thank you.
Save your Data and make a backup before doing anything.
First of all try to go to recovery wipe chache + dalvik + fix permissions reboot
Factory-Reset would be next to try.
If wiping does not help:
Solution 1 - Odin:
Access Download Mode over Powermenu -> Bootloader
or with shutdown (in your case press power ~8 seconds or remove battery), press volume-down + home + power than flash a rom with Odin.
Solution 2 Download your prefered rom copy the zip-File to your phone and flash it through recovery (same way you installed CM 10.1). Wipe cache + dalvik in recovery.
HOWTO GET INTO RECOVERY:
- Turn off your Phone
- Hold VOLUME UP + HOME Buttons
- While holding VOLUME UP + HOME Buttons press POWER Button until Display lights up, then release only POWER Button
- Still hold VOLUME UP + HOME until you got into Recovery
- Release all Buttons
------------------------------------------------------------------
HOWTO GET INTO DOWNLOAD-MODE (Bootloader):
- Turn off your Phone
- Hold VOLUME DOWN + HOME Buttons
- While holding VOLUME DOWN + HOME Buttons press POWER Button until you reach Download-Mode
- Release all Buttons
Thank you for answering my question, but I already did all of above. Even so, the problem is that my phone can not be seen in Download Mode.

But you managed to install a working rom?
Tried with another usb-cabel, computer or usb-port?

Thx bro for answer !!!
When i try pressing just Volume + and Power
My phone restart and black screen and restart and black screen TT
Flash a stock ROM through Odin. That should get you back to a running state. From there you can customize as needed. None of the key combinations need the home button to work, so you shouldn't have issues. But, you should repair that home button anyway.
if you still have a recovery then you need to let go of the buttons as soon as you see blue text at the top of the screen. if you continue holding the buttons it will try to boot the rom...
With broken home you can not enter recovery mode or download mode. Recommend replace a new home button or sell it to buy a new phone.
I dont think you need the home button. Press and hold volume up. Then press power button and release it after a few sec but keep holding volume up.
Same method applies for download mode only then with volume down.
@DSA: Next thing you know, he will have a way to reset the Knox flag.
