Did you tripp KNOX by choice or by accident?
How do you manage without KNOX
Did Yo find a good repleacment that makes it almost the same as not-tripped KNOX?
Do you regret tripping KNOX?
You can't accidentally trip knox, and why do you make 1848848478741 different themes about knox, it's not big deal to trip knox, you can flash custom rom and everything will work.

So many people so many answers.
This is the most popular and most advanced answer I've yet encoutered:
Flashing twrp 100% trips knox
Rooting, if done the right way, can leave KNOX intact

Hello.
I know this might have been asked a million times already but I'm gonna ask anyway..
Should I be afriad of KNOX?
I would like to root, customize stock rom, try custom roms, flash CWM recovery & kernels etc.
but I heard and read that flashing, modifies KNOX which voids the phone's warranty but I would like to have my phone's warranty.
So should I try anything?
Is there any way to revert KNOX back to default?
KNOX doesn't carry a gun around, so no don't be afraid of it.
By rooting and doing all the things you mentioned above, you void the warranty of any phone dat has warranty on it. Samsung is only trying to protect themselves. So they don't fix more faults dat were caused by users... So, security for Samsung. And NO, it can't be reset. At least, not yet. However, there are ways to avoid tripping it. Do some research urself. I own Exynos Note 3. Cheers!

1 .Safely root using de la vega root without tripping KNOX
2. Safely custom rom using kn0x0ut Toolbox without tripping KNOX
Others will trigger knox :good:
You could get hit by a bus this week , Flash and enjoy the phone.
Same applies with life ( No flashing necessary )

Thgough theres danger involved there too if you do flash....:silly::laugh:
Well, I have previously rooted my phone without tripping the knox. I didn't flash any custom recovery, firmware or kernels, though.
Now, unrelated to knox, my phone started to behave strangely (reboot loops on charging and erratic signal reception) - some device problem I guess - , and since I have not tripped the knox, I'm going to take the phone to the service centre for a replacement, hopefully free of charge, since it's been only 2 months since I bought it.
Using an International SM-N9005.
I guess if some manufacturing defects cropped up, not related to the flashing of custom firmwares and so on, within the warranty period, and if the knox is tripped, it may be troublesome to replace/repair free of charge. That's the only downside I can see by tripping the knox within the warranty period.
My happily rooted GS4's screen died and I took it Sprint for a replacement. They gave me a refurbished GS4 SPH-L720 with Android 4.4.2 and this build/baseband L720VPUFNAE. I've spent some time searching and I'm still not sure I've got the latest info on this:
Can I root? Based on this thread I think I can use CF Root but I'm not sure.
Will rooting trip the Knox flag and possibly void my warranty? Based on my searches, yes, I think it will trip the Knox flag. As of now there's no way around it.
Can I downgrade without tripping the Knox flag? No, I don't think I can.
Can anyone confirm that this the latest status on NAE? I'd rather avoid tripping the Knox flag, just because, but I'd like to have root back for RoamControl, Titanium Backup, and Tasker. And anyway, if the phone fails again I'm pretty no one at Sprint will be looking at the Knox flag when I go in to switch it out (or will they???).

Hi guys, I have a Galaxy S4 I9505, and I've been reading for a while about KNOX "Counter". I want to root my S4, but I want to know if I root or unroot my KNOX Counter will increase from 0x0 to 0x1? And it is so, I can reset that Counter to 0x0? Because I don't want to lose my warranty.
Thanks in advance!
These are really basic question and have been asked a 1000 times already. If you really did read about Knox you would have find those basic anwsers. I don't think you have read much about Knox. There is a big thread here about Knox. You find your anwsers there.

There are so many informations that you don't know want to trust or not, and I didn't said I read here on xda, you could give me a link, but thanks for help!

its no problem if your device has not guaranty.
Ya I think that your device gt i9505 support triangleaway so you can reset your flash counter.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
samsung gt i9505 support triangle away, and reset counter.
But counter Knox, you can not reset.
just to clarify for you...."flash counter" is a counter that increases each time you flash a rom or whatever. the know 0x1 is a flag which doesn't continually increase, it will either be 0x0 meaning that it's a stock/official system, or it will be 0x1 meaning that the knox flag has been tripped because some part of the system has been modified (e.g. flashing custom rom or recovery, or rooting etc).
so if you want a totally official/full warranty guarantee, don't modify the device in anyway. if you've gone past your warranty date or just don't care about it then you can root/install custom roms kernels and recoveries, but this will likely trip the knox flag if you have the kitkat bootloader.
i rooted my device using towelroot. the knox counter still shows 0x0.
is there any way to install twrp recovery without tripping knox?
cheers experts
edit: (so that i can backup my stock rom) yes, i know i can reflash stock rom without tripping knox, but want to try the non-knox tripping instructions to flash custom rom, having a complete backup before i do
would it be possible to use this app to install twrp without tripping knox?
Hi,
Installing anything "Custom" , will trip the knox counter

Well on the i9505, few TW based custom roms dont trip knox
But yeah any custom recovery or kernel will trip knox
"If someone helps, never forget to hit thanks ? "
I have heard that magisk versions above v12 can do it but never tried eventually so if you know if it can or something that can root without tripping knox please tell me.
and one more question does Kingroot trip knox. I dont want to root with Kingroot but yea...
There is no way to root without tripping Knox.
Magisk can hide knox counter from apps, but it cannot reset the counter, nor can it root without tripping it.
Kingroot will trip it as well.
Kingroot won't work for s8.
You can root then set knox to 0x0 on the PHONE only. Download mode will still show 0x1 and knox tripped.
Only thing you lose rooting is Samsung pay. And maybe warranty depending on region.

Yeah it will always start on all devices, then most likely fail around 40%. Only phone I ever got to work with kingroot was an old alcatel pixi.
There's a few advantages of rooting s8 but depends what you use root for. If you do want to root I suggest TWRP and magisk.
