If you deleted them from the recycle bin then there's no way to recover them
in the meanwhil i just found out that my photos can be recovered. it sounds logic because they stored also local (on my phone) i will give it a shot tomorrow. I first need a huge SD card

Hey guys, I searched and couldn't find anything about this anywhere.
I had a few pics of my girlfriend on my stock galaxy s4, flagged as Hidden.
This weekend, I had a little fun and rooted my phone and flashed to a 4.3 based rom.
After moving my photos and everything back to my phone, I noticed the handful of hidden pics were no where to be found.
I checked my dropbox, and the direct backup folder I had of my phone before the root and wipe and flash. (Literally, just copied the entire directory from the phone to my desktop.) The photos don't seem to exist, anywhere.
Does anyone know where the hidden photos go? Or, how I can get them back? I was contemplating flashing a stock rom, or modified stock rom and seeing if I could find them that way.
When you moved all your photos did you select the hidden pictures?
If I recall correctly, you have to make the photos unhidden to be able to move them properly.
Most likely those hidden pictures are gone.
What did you use to hide the photos? What app did you use? I ask because IF it was an app like Vaulty you "may" be able find them in the sdcard or extsdcard under dcim folder. This is how they look with Vaulty app at least. Your mileage may vary. But as you can see it renames the pics/video. Good luck

You could download quickpic, open it, press menu, click show hidden photos.

I don't think you can recover your photos, thumbdata doesn't contain the original image, just thumbnails, which are small snapshots of the real files.

Look in /sdcard/DCIM/camera That's where all my photos end up.

Was running stang5litre's S7 ROM for a good long while but kept having issues. Figured I'd backup, then go back to stock to see if I can handle not rooting/ROM'ing. So far I'm cool with it - BUT - I use QuickPic as my picture Gallery. Well... upon coming back to stock, the folders I had in QuickPic, where I had a good amount of pictures I wanted to keep, the folders were gone*. Hence, my pix appear to be gone.
SO. The questions are: has anyone seen that before with QP and know of a fix for it? Maybe it just turned those folders into hidden folders or something? Two: is there a way to extract from a FlashFire backup those picture files?
Appreciate any help,
Steve
*and absolutely shame on me for not keeping a copy of them in the cloud
Mine was actually the other way around. I was missing pictures and quick pic found them when the stock gallery couldnt. That's also when I started regularly backing up to the cloud too.

If you did a full FlashFire backup including internal storage, then you should be able to restore it, but you'll need to be rooted. You could root and restore internal storage, then make copies on your PC/cloud/SDcard/ect, and finally flash back to stock. This will only work if you backed up internal storage, which is selected by default.
Yeah, I was really hoping there's be something like 7zip I could use to easily extract the images instead of going through that entire rigamarole. <sigh>
I have secure folder from Samsung, and I deleted a picture. I was wondering if there is a way to get it back. Please reply asap.
Thanks,
Gavin
No, I don't think there are any way to get it back
No...you have to do a backup in samsung cloud everytimes you modify or add a file in secure folder or you lost this

You can take the help of a third party recovery app or software to regain back your photos stored in the secured folder. For example like Recuva, Stellar Phoenix, Remo Recover etc

Those won't be useful for him as he already deleted the image and data recovery apps don't seem to work in secure folder even if you delete the image after installing those apps.
Please help me for recover my image
sir please recover my image
im angry and happy lol
Somehow im happy not having to search more for "good recovery programs" that will gain the first su access i ever gave lol.(sceptical bout giving SU to anyone... so what will i use it for lol)
I just rooted and stuff to recover an unknown document, probably several pages long. its from a private folder in my s5. I reformatted the pics inside to gain some room on internal and deleted the "empty" folder. I forgot 2 other files i couldnt see in gallery :crying:
Instantly knew i fcked up while accepting the no recycle dialog off my file browser lol.
