Look in /sdcard/DCIM/camera That's where all my photos end up.

.thumbnails is supposed to be hidden, the android OS uses this folder as a cache to quickly show the gallery. i suppose you can clear it, the next time you open the gallery i think it will remake thumbs. not to shure.
did you delete photo's with an file manager, or with gallery?

Hi Thanks...I deleted the images in the gallery app. Yesterday I deleted the images in the .thumbnails folder...android did re-create them, but the ones I had deleted were no longer there so sorted!
But I still think android should delete the temporary thumnail once the photo has been deleted from the Gallery too!

pic files ?

hi is there a way to save a pic and not have it viewed in gallery? i want to keep some pics private
thanks in advance
put all your pictures in a special folder and drop a ".nomedia" file on there. It will stop android from scanning that folder for media. For example, you could have your "private" pictres in a folder called "books", or something else that's boring, add a .nomedia file, and add your pictures. You won't see them with gallery, but you will with a file explorer.
Just put a .foldername
Ex
.hiddenpix
Works the same way as what is post above
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
so i just name the file something like books.nomedia

[Q] albums issue. s4 i9500, no root. Thanks guys

Hey guys, I am chinese, not very good english, so I try to explain my problem finely to understand.
my s4 device storage is16G(auctualy only have 8.69G can be used), And I have a 64G SD card. Now, when i take a picture, the picture is saved in SD card, that is very good, that is what I want. But if I move the pictures to a Album, then the pics are saved in my Device storage. that is not what I want. I want when I moved the pic to Album, the pics still are saved in SD Card. How can I fix this problems guys?
Do you guys understand what I mean and what I want? I am not sure if you guys got my piont. anyway, thanks a lot.
Yes. I understand.
However, the stock gallery that came with the phone creates Albums in "/storage/sdcard0/Pictures/" which is in your device.
After you moved pictures to a new Album using the stock Gallery app,
Open "My Files" or any File browser (ES File Explorer), navigate to "/storage/sdcard0/Pictures/", move the Album you've created to "/storage/extSdCard/".
Gallery will automatically update the new location.

In MyFiles go to more and say show hidden files. Then go to the folders who's content don't show up in gallery and look for a file that says .nomedia if u have a file like that in those folders just delete it and pictures will show up in the gallery. Maybe the that'S the solution.

Use root explorer, find the dcim folder. Inside there find the mei folder. Inside mei folder create a file and name it .nomedia now that folder or any files won't show in gallery. Or delete the mei folder from dcim with root explorer not via gallery

Then it must be down to an app that's using storage permission to create that folder. Try to find the app and disable permissions or delete
I have the same too, but that folder is not a big deal... If you deleted the "mei" folder, it will reappear again when you open LINE app...
