Phone stuck in bootloop - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, so my Moto X Pure is stuck in bootloop since forever.
I can still access the recovery but flashing Lineage/DU/Nuclear is not booting up the phone.
I tried clearing ALL my data and it still won't bootup. Any help?

Flash stock with fasboot, reboot,
After it you can flash correct(N or MM modem) custom rom.

Flashed stock 6.0 and it didn't work.
Flashed 7.0 and it's up!
Thanks anyway!

LOS - there are to versions - for mm & n modem,
DU - only for mm,
Nuclea - only for n.

Any idea if I can flash the unofficial N based TWRP on the official 7.0 ROM?

If you will stay on stock you can use any 3.+ TWRP.
If you want flash any custom you need unofficial TWRP.

N7 Grouper stuck in bootloop when flashing custom ROMs after factory image reset

I would welcome any help here. I have a Grouper N7 that until recently was running the XenonHD rom on the 4.13 bootloader. Due to travel that I was on I encrypted the tablet, but now that those circumstances are not happening anymore, I upgraded the bootloader to 4.23 and then flashed the JWR66V factory stock image. One all that was done I rooted and installed TWRP 2.6.3.1. I have tried SmoothROM, ButteredGrouper and Slim (all 4.3.3 roms) and while everything seemed to flash properly, all of them get stuck in the animation while booting. I even tried downgrading the bootloader and reflashed the last official version of XenonHD and still got the same results. So far, the only way I have been able to get the tablet to boot all the way up is to flash the stock image, and that is just not good enough...
Any ideas on what I am missing?
When going from ROM to ROM you need to do a factory reset in your custom recovery prior to flashing the ROM

I did. Same results. I also just sat the tablet down for an hour and walked away from it. No joy.

Well, I feel stupid. I just tried downgrading TWRP to 2.6.3 and that fixed the issue. I guess I never realized that 2.6.3.1 had issues since I haven't flashed a new ROM in a while... Geez.

Go here and download the 2.6.3 image for your device and place it in the root SDcard, and, then install Flashify from the market. Open Flashify and flash the image...

Did you wipe 'Data'?

Custom Recovery - 23.1.A.0.690 (Lollipop) for Z3 (D6603) [flashable, pre-rooted]

For those who already have a custom recovery installed, you can flash this stock cwm backup.

have fun.
Any more info about this? Will it keep the recovery?

If your Z3 is already rooted it is probably best to copy the zipped rom to your Z3 and install it from recovery. From what I understand, you will loose root if you flash the new rom with Flashtool.
I have just installed the pre-rooted 23.1.A.0.690 NCB and everything seems working exept Recovery and Xposed Framework. I only wiped Dalvik Cache as I was not too keen to start from scratch. TeamWin is probably working on updated Recovery Project, and Xposted is in Alpa stage
Does the alpha build of xposed work? I've been using it on my N7 and it's been perfectly fine.
Not yet. Recovery needs to be updated to be compatible with the new FW, which is required to install the xposed module
mega host is suck. very slow.
Ive updated my z3 can i root it now somehow or do i have to downgrade

You need to downgrade. No direct root for Llp
I'm stuck in this Sony lollipop rom.. I want to move to cm12, but the recovery is not even there -_-
Flash 4.4.4 with flashtool and start from there. Or directly flash cm12 kernel in fastboot and you will have recovery.

[Q][HELP] A6000 1 GB RAM 8 GB ROM Variant

Hi, I'm new to Lenovo A6000. I have a relative that has a softbricked A6000. I wiped the phone via stock recovery, and no problems afterwards.
I wanted to flash custom ROMs for my relatives A6000, but I can't seem to flash the latest custom recovery (TWRP). It always fails. Never boots to recovery. I did some research here and there by reading in XDA and found some interesting things.
The question is:
What is the device that I'm using? How do I find out what it is? is it WT86518 or WT86528?
The phone's running on Stock KK ROM Kraft S037, Is there a problem on flashing custom recovery via fastboot when using this version of stockrom? Or there's something else wrong? Should I update it via OTA then try flashing it or is there an easier way of flashing it?
It's the old 2015 A6000. With 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM.
I'm pretty familiar with fastboot commands, so it's just weird that I can't flash TWRP in it. I even can't hotboot it (fastboot boot blabla.img).
Thanks before, please do reply.
So on which ROM are you just now

Thanks for the reply, mate! Thanks for the links too! But I'd prefer using TWRP than CWM. So what do I have to do to be able to use TWRP? Do I have to update stock rom to Lollipop first? Or does it mean TWRP isn't compatible at all?

One more question, do I have to like.. update the stock rom to lollipop or can I just use the 'Kitkat-lolipop firmware base switcher for a6000' method by @rahulsnair ? Thanks a lot mate for the info! :good:
*PS. I tried that version of TWRP firsthand before I posted this thread, so it means what made TWRP incompatible was because of the HH itself was still on old KK right?

Yeah exactly. Flash the firmware base switcher (for A6000 by rahulsnair and for A6000plus by me, sasukay).
Steps:
0. Flash the cwm or twrp 2.6.x (i guess) which works on KK
1. Then boot into custom recovery you've installed.
2. Then flash the firmware base switcher.
3. Now you can flash the latest twrp using fastboot which is meant for Lollipop and newer versions.

Thanks for the reply sasukay! Yeah! I had a hunch that the latest TWRP didn't boot was because of stock KK! I consulted to a friend that was using A6000 Plus before I did all of this, he told me he was on stock 'LP' when he flashed latest TWRP and he didn't tell me (or more like he didn't know) that the A6000 has to be on LP before flashing latest TWRP. Hope nothing goes wrong now. Wish me luck! :good: :highfive: :fingers-crossed:

Custom Kernel = No WLAN

I have rooted the S8. If I flash a custom kernel now, no matter which one (TGP, NX, NOTORIOUS) I can not turn on the WLAN afterwards, - the slider always jumps out. With and without Wipe, - does not work.

Sir flash latest firmware then root it only by twrp and when you flash twrp you have to wipe data typing yes for complete functionality and them root it by magisk. I hope you wont get any issues. Seriosuly did to my s8 same many times didnt face the issue once.

I flashed TWRP with Odin.
Then in the TWRP SuperSU flashed, nothing else.
As soon as I take a custom kernel - no Wi-Fi
Or did I misunderstand you?

Maybe maybe sir its because if supersu maybe, with all due respect repeat process and this time root using Magisk i use it and installed NX kernel worked fine i know kernel provide features but if it doesnt help make compromise with stock kernel and keep using it.

And sir dont rush into aything whenever you install twrp after flashing origi al firmware, when twrp boots for the first time you have to keep it read only dont allow modifications then go to wipe and wipe data type yes then reboot your phone compkete setup then install magisk then reboot and again boot into twrp now flash custom kernel. I explained everything what i do and i am fine everythings fine running custom kernel without issue.
