Hi guys, LG G2 802 stock KK rooted and TWRP, downloaded and installed CM14.1 but phone boots to spash screen and then blank but still on. Can boot to TWRP. What am I doing wrong?
Stock LP recommended! It's mentioned in every nougat and Lollipop thread.

Flash the CAF bootstack, be careful with which variant you choose though.

Installed stock LP then flashed CM14, running and looking sweet.

I would welcome any help here. I have a Grouper N7 that until recently was running the XenonHD rom on the 4.13 bootloader. Due to travel that I was on I encrypted the tablet, but now that those circumstances are not happening anymore, I upgraded the bootloader to 4.23 and then flashed the JWR66V factory stock image. One all that was done I rooted and installed TWRP 2.6.3.1. I have tried SmoothROM, ButteredGrouper and Slim (all 4.3.3 roms) and while everything seemed to flash properly, all of them get stuck in the animation while booting. I even tried downgrading the bootloader and reflashed the last official version of XenonHD and still got the same results. So far, the only way I have been able to get the tablet to boot all the way up is to flash the stock image, and that is just not good enough...
Any ideas on what I am missing?
When going from ROM to ROM you need to do a factory reset in your custom recovery prior to flashing the ROM

I did. Same results. I also just sat the tablet down for an hour and walked away from it. No joy.

Well, I feel stupid. I just tried downgrading TWRP to 2.6.3 and that fixed the issue. I guess I never realized that 2.6.3.1 had issues since I haven't flashed a new ROM in a while... Geez.

Did you wipe 'Data'?
Hi members.
As the title says i created a flashable zip.
I did not test the zip yet. No errors occurred during creation.
I used
XZDualRecovery locked bootloaders v 2.8.22
SuperSU Beta v 2.52
Stock C6903 Customized DE 1277-0154 14.6.A.1.216 R2D
Everybody who is downloading the zip should know what he has to do!
It would be helpfull if anybody who has downloaded and flashed the zip could confirm that it is working or not.
Download --> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw5LFMK1hMKmNm0ycWNmdnJ0S0k/view?usp=sharing
Just writing from my freshly installed zip. Dirty flashed with only wiping cache and dalvik using twrp recovery.
Android version is still 5.1.1 as supposed.
Thanks Bro Downloading
Will try it too!

Doesn't work for me. Flashed it twice and still the exact same firmware version. SuperSU has been upgraded though... Are you sure you have the new version?

Yes I am on new firmware.
I just wiped cache and dalvik.
I did it dirty, don't wanted to loose any data.

I don't know what's the problem. I used the zip I created from my computer.
I didn't download the zip from Google Drive. So I hope the upload I did to Google Drive isn't corrupt.
Normally this zip should work. I hadn't any problems.
Then I think there's something wrong with the downloaded zip. Indeed everything is OK for me during the flash with TWRP (no visible error) but when it reboots, I'm still on. 368...
For me it's working. But I tried first the Indian version, I made a clean installation from that, so I don't know if coming from previous versions it would work...

What steps did you do? Which custom rom did you use? Really strange that sometimes it is working and sometimes not.

I was on stock (.368)
I just downloaded and flashed your zip
I tried two methods:
Number 1:
-Wiped everything and installed your zip, went into bootloop
Number 2:
- reflashed stock (.368) and then flashed your zip, only this time i left out the system etc. And only wiped the cache and dalvik
---------- Post added at 05:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:53 AM ----------
The guy who gave us the indian ftf didn't bother mentioning that it was for c6902, no radios working on that one but flashing was perfect and i did achieve the (.216) firmware
That's strange. I am sorry for the circumstances users are getting using this zip.
I had no problems going from 368 to 216. But I used the zip I created from my computer and not the one from Google drive.
I am on c6906. Can I go into recovery, do a full wipe and then just flash this?
No don't do that. This zip doesn't flash the new build anyway. Don't you want to upload it again?

Yes it works. As I already wrote earlier, I have flashed the zip myself without any problems. Recovery, root and firmware 216 are on my phone.
For me everything works well.
I formatted data and system.
And evrything works well.

Steps:
1. Boot to TWRP recovery
2. Select wipe, advanced wipe(Dalvik cache, system, data, internet storage and cache)
3. Wipe successful
4. Install (Select Aurora ROM, skip zip file signature verification)
5. Mounted system, data, cache and micro sd card
6. Confirmed flash and stuck at installation begin.
Thanks,
The steps u followed are perfect...
Then on which ROM you were before installing aurora if it was other than stock ROM then first try going on the stock ROM and then installing the aurora.
Because I too faced same problem with the Dr. Ketan ROM and first had to go on stock and then install the rom . it worked for me I hope it works for u

KitKat 4.2.2 BobCat ROM
I was able to flash Hybrid Norma, Phronesis 5.1.1 with no issues. Video recording, NFC are issues with these ROMs.
Hence trying other ROMS to see whether it works.

Hi, I'm new to Lenovo A6000. I have a relative that has a softbricked A6000. I wiped the phone via stock recovery, and no problems afterwards.
I wanted to flash custom ROMs for my relatives A6000, but I can't seem to flash the latest custom recovery (TWRP). It always fails. Never boots to recovery. I did some research here and there by reading in XDA and found some interesting things.
The question is:
What is the device that I'm using? How do I find out what it is? is it WT86518 or WT86528?
The phone's running on Stock KK ROM Kraft S037, Is there a problem on flashing custom recovery via fastboot when using this version of stockrom? Or there's something else wrong? Should I update it via OTA then try flashing it or is there an easier way of flashing it?
It's the old 2015 A6000. With 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM.
I'm pretty familiar with fastboot commands, so it's just weird that I can't flash TWRP in it. I even can't hotboot it (fastboot boot blabla.img).
Thanks before, please do reply.
So on which ROM are you just now

Thanks for the reply, mate! Thanks for the links too! But I'd prefer using TWRP than CWM. So what do I have to do to be able to use TWRP? Do I have to update stock rom to Lollipop first? Or does it mean TWRP isn't compatible at all?

One more question, do I have to like.. update the stock rom to lollipop or can I just use the 'Kitkat-lolipop firmware base switcher for a6000' method by @rahulsnair ? Thanks a lot mate for the info! :good:
*PS. I tried that version of TWRP firsthand before I posted this thread, so it means what made TWRP incompatible was because of the HH itself was still on old KK right?

Yeah exactly. Flash the firmware base switcher (for A6000 by rahulsnair and for A6000plus by me, sasukay).
Steps:
0. Flash the cwm or twrp 2.6.x (i guess) which works on KK
1. Then boot into custom recovery you've installed.
2. Then flash the firmware base switcher.
3. Now you can flash the latest twrp using fastboot which is meant for Lollipop and newer versions.

Thanks for the reply sasukay! Yeah! I had a hunch that the latest TWRP didn't boot was because of stock KK! I consulted to a friend that was using A6000 Plus before I did all of this, he told me he was on stock 'LP' when he flashed latest TWRP and he didn't tell me (or more like he didn't know) that the A6000 has to be on LP before flashing latest TWRP. Hope nothing goes wrong now. Wish me luck! :good: :highfive: :fingers-crossed:

Flash stock with fasboot, reboot,
After it you can flash correct(N or MM modem) custom rom.
Flashed stock 6.0 and it didn't work.
Flashed 7.0 and it's up!
Thanks anyway!

If you will stay on stock you can use any 3.+ TWRP.
If you want flash any custom you need unofficial TWRP.
