here is something about losing efs data.
another problem of device is the Random Reboot or Auto Shutdown...have any idea for this ??
Magic DEVICE Imei and Baseband restored but sim card DIE
You have to reflash a GB-Rom,i.e. JVU. Then everything will be ok. And after that flash a ICS-Rom which not makes disappear the IMEI and then, without wiping you may flash this special ICS-Rom which caused that issue. Now everything should be ok. That was the experience I have made.
my 6p unlocked, unrooted. one day it cant recgnize sim card while i did nothing to it.
and i find it lost imei & baseband, GPS not working too, but wifi & bluetooth is ok.
i guess a efs problem and reflash the image downloaded from google but nothing happened.
i dont have a efs backup, so what can i do?
anyone kind enough to send me a copy of his efs?

No, under absolutely no circumstances should anyone give to you their EFS information/backup. It's illegal for a start. You should have made a backup of your EFS, you're going to have to send it for repair.
^^This, exactly.

Hey Guys I need some help with Nv data (EFS )
The NV data baseband is I9500UBUAMDE nonetheless my firmware baseband is I9500UBUGNJ1
I think this is why my phone do not have a stable conection with cel-towers...
So I need to know, how to update the nv data without corrupt it?
Kindly regards,
AG
Just flash a stock ROM using Odin. This will ensure that the bootloader and modem match.
Already did it some many times... Without results...
The phone is missing the imei and MAC address?
No one is missing...
Phone signal Goes out and in.
However while the phone has signal. I can call and navigate on internet..
Do you need the efs folder?
If the phone has an imei, then it seems like the efs folder may be fine and something else is happening.
So flashes are successful in Odin?
Could the phone be blacklisted? Was it ever dropped? Tried a different SIM card? Tried our SIM card in another phone?
Ok, I have to be honest... I was on 4.4.2
I try to use galaxysim unlock. However EFS was v2 and I restore a v1 efs folder in order to unlock the phone. It works. However after upgrade to 5.0. It start to fluctuate the signal...
Note: v1 and v2 are versions in matter of security of the EFS folder...
That is how this how begins...
Did you restore the original version 2 efs? Do you have a backup of the original efs? If not, I'm not sure if an nvwriter will help.
I think I do not have one...
What should I do?.....
I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe Google nvwriter and see if it works with your phone.
Hi,
I have Axon 7 mini B2017G and I have lost network signal.
This initially happened after updating firmware to EU (to get 7.1.1) I noticed sound not working. So I tried to root phone for TWRP and Lineage but that resulted in IMEI 0 for both IMEI's.
I have since restored both original IMEI but still cannot get signal for more than 30seconds after a full factory reset. Regardless of firmware, rooted or not rooted etc etc.
Seems I have lost important NV data while messing with Modems and restoring IMEI etc.
Can someone please do a full EDL backup with "Axon7_Mini_EDL_Tool" of All partitions (including modemst1, modemst2 fsg) so I can restore baseband configuration, modem partitions etc???
If that isn't an option for someone with the same phone as me, then can you please backup NV items as QCN file so I can try repair my network issue??
The idea i have is to restore ALL partitions from exact same model/version and then restore my original IMEI's in the hopes that I can once again register GSM network and use the phone.
Thank you
Sorted.

same happened to me after messing with network setting, SIM 1 now stuck on LTE mode only which has limited coverage in some areas. SIM 2 is working fine.
I read somewhere that if you downgrade to Marshmallow, it might solve your problem.
I don't know what to do :crying::crying::crying:

Hello, I flashed a stock through MiFlash, but it gave an error, I flashed a stock that I already had to backup, B13 MiFavor5, but when I search + # 06 # I get IMEI 1-2 unknown, I have EFS backup, two doubts, only flashing a compatible modem to recover the signal from the operator? or restoring the EFS partition ?, if you restore EFS, how do I do this?
(I have backup of the EFS folder)

Flash the A2017 modem first. If it doesn't work then use the EFS backup
You can flash an EFS backup with the EDL tools ,I've used it for back ups and restoring ,seems to be the most reliable method for flashing to me . Easy to set up as well . Read the forum page very carefully and you should be fine
Hello, first I want to thank the answers, and I was able to recover the IMEI by flashing the modem, but it is different from the one specified in the box, and even recognizes the chip from other operators, but specifically the one I use does not recognize it.
two questions: Is there any problem with the IMEI being different from the one specified in my box ?;
How can I make this specific SIM work? (I already tested it on other devices and the SIM works.)

At some point your device has been factory replacement chip set put in and this prosuss has cleared that up this is why the IMEI number has changed.......
