Axon 7 mini B2017G Australian firmware request - ZTE Axon 7 Mini Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have Axon 7 mini B2017G and I have lost network signal.
This initially happened after updating firmware to EU (to get 7.1.1) I noticed sound not working. So I tried to root phone for TWRP and Lineage but that resulted in IMEI 0 for both IMEI's.
I have since restored both original IMEI but still cannot get signal for more than 30seconds after a full factory reset. Regardless of firmware, rooted or not rooted etc etc.
Seems I have lost important NV data while messing with Modems and restoring IMEI etc.
Can someone please do a full EDL backup with "Axon7_Mini_EDL_Tool" of All partitions (including modemst1, modemst2 fsg) so I can restore baseband configuration, modem partitions etc???
If that isn't an option for someone with the same phone as me, then can you please backup NV items as QCN file so I can try repair my network issue??
The idea i have is to restore ALL partitions from exact same model/version and then restore my original IMEI's in the hopes that I can once again register GSM network and use the phone.
Thank you

Sorted.

same happened to me after messing with network setting, SIM 1 now stuck on LTE mode only which has limited coverage in some areas. SIM 2 is working fine.
I read somewhere that if you downgrade to Marshmallow, it might solve your problem.
I don't know what to do :crying::crying::crying:

[SOLVED] Wrong Radio Band select

Yesterday i accidentally select "USA Band" on my N6 XT1100 (Euro Version) and my cellular network gone, with no chance to restore my settings. Searched for this issue, but not 100% working variant or need fastboot tools. And then i investigate this issue, found solution. I restored EFS partition from my nandroid with "right" settings, and network signal come back. Tested on Chroma 5.1.1 3/5 build, partition from CleanROM 5.1. So you must simply restore only EFS partition and are good to go
Uhhh, if this is like old Samsung's you may want to pull that file. Your ESN, imei and serial numbers are in your efs I believe. In other words if other people flash your efs, they are essentially cloning your phone and will have your efs and imei. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's the case with Samsung and others.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
I believe that IMEI etc. hardcoded in different places, and result for flash another EFS will be IMEI "Unknown", like in LG G2 forum, then its only for learning purposes, zip deleted, it was only for file structure and names containing partition. :cyclops:

Hey, I have the same problem, I guess that there's not solution yet.

Do you a have a efs.img backup ? Or any kind of IMEI/EFS/RADIO backup ?
I had the same problem I flashed the stock ROM and somehow I lost my IMEI info, I tried everything and I was even thinking about buying a z3x box but then I decided to do a very risky move , I completely deleted all the EFS related files/info and reflashed again but now I was not able to boot because I always sent me to recovery mode saying that :
"E:Failed To Mount /EFS (invalid argument )"
Then all I did was installing TWRP and rooted my SM-G935F and then I placed my efs.img backup on my internal SD CARD and went on recovery launched the terminal and wrote this :
dd if=/sdcard/efs.img of=/dev/block/platform/155a0000.ufs/by-name/EFS
Then I wrote reboot and it finally my phone was booting and I recovered my IMEI and was able to use my phone normally.
This only works if you have a backup of your EFS, and even if you do is risky , but I did it because I lost all hope and was accepting the fact that my phone would just become a useless wifi only device .
So there is not a fix yet for this problem ?
I have a problem on my s7edge instead. If i have valid imei i'am almost always in emergency calls, and when the signal comes back does not go into mobile data connection. With the wi fi no problem. Can someone help me i'am going crazy.!

IMEI, Network Signal and Baseband is misssing
Hi
I am ready to donate if any expert can help me to restore IMEI.
I am using SM-N9500 samsung note 8 model - hongkong version, i frequently change the roms.. when last time i tried to install a custom rom i lost IMEI. i am getting error like IMEI-unknown, baseband- unknown, no network and sim cards not working..
i tried installing stock rom, custom roms, it was installing successfully but only baseband, signal and IMEI are not working. i didnt even back up my EFS folder. So, kindly help me to get back my IMEI.
I have installed stock rom, still no IMEI. now i rooted my mobile and taken EFS backup. is it enough? if yes, pls suggest me the next steps. I also tried installing combination firmware, though is not working, installation was successful and also i am able to see the factory binary logo, after which it will switch off automatically and boot loops. everytime it will open factory binary and immediately it will switch off automatically..

Help Restore Imei

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my device, after installing 8 android and returning back was gone, I tried to restore it via persist sdes on the forum by the instructions like it turned out but then got the update over the air and it again became zero but the link worked decided to restore it via pixel but even on the pixel it was 0 can I return native firmware with normal imei sorry for my English
I have the same issue. On pixel room after all the instructions, but still no imei. Even after erasing modemst1/2 in bootloader.
I don't know why so many people are trying to restore IMEI with persist instructions. It is not meant to do that, and is only necessary for those who lost volte after getting back
service. If you do not have service and an IMEI of 0, adding the persist folder to your EFS will just further corrupt it. No where in the original instructions for using persist did it say to use it to fix IMEI 0.

Hello, I flashed a stock through MiFlash, but it gave an error, I flashed a stock that I already had to backup, B13 MiFavor5, but when I search + # 06 # I get IMEI 1-2 unknown, I have EFS backup, two doubts, only flashing a compatible modem to recover the signal from the operator? or restoring the EFS partition ?, if you restore EFS, how do I do this?
(I have backup of the EFS folder)

Flash the A2017 modem first. If it doesn't work then use the EFS backup
You can flash an EFS backup with the EDL tools ,I've used it for back ups and restoring ,seems to be the most reliable method for flashing to me . Easy to set up as well . Read the forum page very carefully and you should be fine
Hello, first I want to thank the answers, and I was able to recover the IMEI by flashing the modem, but it is different from the one specified in the box, and even recognizes the chip from other operators, but specifically the one I use does not recognize it.
two questions: Is there any problem with the IMEI being different from the one specified in my box ?;
How can I make this specific SIM work? (I already tested it on other devices and the SIM works.)

At some point your device has been factory replacement chip set put in and this prosuss has cleared that up this is why the IMEI number has changed.......

H910 recovered from 0 imei and deleted modem 1 and 2 but still no signal

It now has latest twrp recovery for 910 and oreo, 91020i rooted rom. At this point it had 0 imei and modem files overwritten with something for another device. Found the modem files on reddit, a kind soul had linked his backups for 910, and got the imei back to what i have on the back on the phone. Still no signal but at least now finds the sim card and asks for pin. What else can cause no radio?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lg-v20-h910-at-t-4g-band-issues.3771873/ according to this it's a hardware issue. Oh well I have 2 others, bit of a V20 freak because of the audio capabilities, so I may just get another $80 F800
All custom roms I tried crash at boot logo so no help there.
