If you're really stuck, the best way to get it working again is connecting the phone in download mode to a PC/Mac and restore it with Smart Switch, so you don't risk downloading a wrong/corrupted image for Odin

PLEASE, BEFORE POSTING THIS KIND OF ANSWERS HERE, READ THE QUESTION THREE TIMES AND USE YOUR BRAIN, OR YOU'LL ONLY CAUSE DAMAGES.
What I see there is a .tar image for J530, not J500 (J530 is 2017 model, J500 is 2015). He wants to get the phone working again, not completely bricked because he flashed an image for another device.

I am having the same problem with one I'm trying to fix. I have scoured the internet trying to find a fix and have been unlucky so far. The D2G had a similar problem that occured after trying to flash back from the .629 OTA to the .608 sbf that was fixed by a patched .608 sbf file so I've been looking to see if the D2 had a similar fix. I'll post here if I find anything.

Hello all:
I foolishly tried to root my note 3 and now all i have is the screen telling me that upgrade issues were encountered and to use software repair, and the little text on top says knox warranty void.
Is this the end of my phone or is there hope for me.
Thank you !

Yeah try to use the Verizon Repair assistant on your pc. Another one to try is Kies 3 which you can download to your pc and run.
Pull the battery and then put in back in and hold down power+home+volume down. Once in custom screen press volume up.
If you can do this your okay.
You can use Verizon Repair assistant, Kies 3 or the latest version of Odin and download the tar file for the version you were on.

You can hook your phone into your pc and run Odin. If you go to that thread up above it got the info and links for all you need.
Your not screwed at all. Just takes some time to download the files to your pc.
What version were you on before trying to root?
Also what we're you using to root?
---------- Post added at 08:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 AM ----------
Also sometime it takes hooking up to different usb ports on your pc to get it to install drivers
---------- Post added at 09:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:51 AM ----------
Here's another thread to help get you back up and running. Download Odin on your pc then which ever version you were on. Being MI9,MJ7,or MJE. Download and extract the tar and place in Odin and run. Those threads explain everything great. Read up on those. Good luck bud

You stuff was awesome, however, it is not that the programs do not work, it is the fact that my pc, under no circumstances will recognize my phone when plugged into these programs, or even recognize it as a device after the drivers are in. The note literally has to be up and running for it to be recognized.
Thanks

From the looks of your photo your warranty is still good. You are stuck in download (odin) mode. The Knox warranty void line shows 0x0 witch is still good. When the line says 0x1 your warranty is toast. I have the identical screen when I enter download mode and my phone is bone stock. I haven't tried root yet because Verizon has allowed disabling and stopping most of the bloat apps. Also I do not want to trip Knox. Have you tried holding down the power button until it reboots? As for the note having to be fully powered up to be recognized is not so. When you enter download mode is when you connect your usb. I would try a different usb port or a standard usb 2.0 Motorola cable if you have one. Either way your warranty is not toast.

Your advice is truly appreciated, but i think my computer hates my note. I have tried every port, all the drivers are on the machine, and I still do not get recognized. When the phone was working, it had no problem getting recognized, now, all of a sudden....poof
Yea same screen most of us have or had. You need to install ODIN connect to PC and run ODIN it should tell you if it reads it when "ID:COM" shows "0:[COM4]" or any other number. If it does show "0:[COM4]" you are good flash a stock image of the version you were on before attempting root (MI9, MJ7, or MJE).

Below are the screens I get, I tried flashing the delavega root before, and of course got the error shown. I am now downloading the stock tar file, mje, and try to flash it with odin when done downloading.
Is odin showing the com box the correct way, or should it be another color and say something else?
Thanks.

How about entering recovery mode (home+vol up+ power on) and clearing cache and or factory reset. Clearing cache worked on my old S3 with a similar issue.

So I've just bought a used LG G2 D802 32GB and the rootchecker app shows me that it has been rooted. I'm trying to find a way to make it completely stock, unrooted again so that my warranty would work. I've found that I need to flash .kdz file. I tried getting into download mode(plugging in USB cable while holding volume up), but unsuccessfully. Should I do anything before flashing? Should I somehow make a backup? Do I need to install TWRP before doing that? Or maybe I already have it, I don't know Any advice would be helpful.

HI, u can flash with lg flesh tool, you must download kdz,you have all in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
but if u cant get download mod u can install with twrp, here is topic for newiest firmwarehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-d802/rom-original-eur-80220h-kdz-to-recovery-t2941528
and if u know how to install twrp u can learn here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520419
Just installed autorec and the download mode started working. Then just followed kdz flashing instructions and no root anymore thanks!
I've read that I need to re-partition but I can not find the correct PIT file for my device (specifically, SM-T337A). If this is in fact what I need to do, any assistance in locating the correct PIT file would be greatly appreciated! If this is NOT what I need to do, any assistance in figuring out what IS the correct course of action is also greatly appreciated! What initially happened was I attempted to root while on 5.1.1, which I've read you can't do (clearly) so now it only boots into recovery. When I try flashing with ODIN, ODIN fails and my device says "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1".
Again, thank you in advance for any help!
did you ever find a fix for this, i have done the same thing?
No fix yet

well i've got good news for you then, got it running. download the OTA 5.1.1 update and write it to a SD card then run the update from external memory in the updater...
so download the zip file and put it on a micro.sd then put the sd in your T337A and when updater starts click down to install from external memory and select the file. it take a few minutes to start working so just let it sit. (link to the download below remove spaces), if for some reason you can't download it i have the file.

Please someone have pit file for t337a
If you guys were on 5.1.1 you need the LP(boot.fix). If your on the unauthorized screen boot into download mode. Open odin and flash LP(boot.zip) do not extract zip just flash in PDA slot. Now im going to post the link for it through Mega. For those that do not know what Mega is its an app from the playstore. The last time I posted a guy said this method seemed fishy because he was new to flashing and had no idea that Mega is a cloud sharing app thats free. This fix is not my work ALL CREDIT GOES TO Cocafoca.
