So, I had bought a p9 lite recently on a reconditioned phone store. The probleme is that i cannot open any app related to google. So i decided to update my build.
I have unlocked the bootloader, i have installed Twrp 3.0.2 and my phone is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and i would like to install C432 with Android 7.1.2
My build number is (and that's the problem) "VNS-L31C900B163"
I've tried a lot of technics but i can't manage to make it, I really need help :crying:
So if someone as any idea on how i could do this or atleast install a new Android version i'd really be happy and thankful

Hi Guys,
Long time android user here, I bought the P8lite ALE-L21 a month ago, and have been thoroughly enjoying my experience with the phone so far. When I purchased the phone, it had (and currently does have) the Lollipop 5.0.1 ROM build B183 preloaded into it. I have since unlocked the phones bootloader and rooted it, as per the course with new android phones
I've read numerous threads here regarding the upgrade to the Marshmallow beta, and have been stumped as to how to get the darn ROM flashed to my device.
I've tried using the EMUI manual updater to flash B188 over as a stepping stone to the beta, and also tried updating straight to the beta to no avail.
I'm thinking that I may have to downgrade in an attempt to get B188 on there, but I'm unsure as to which build to flash.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Could mods remove this thread please? I've sorted this out using the tutorial by dkonect.
Hi I am new to this so please do bare with my lack of knowledge
first things first I never had been in the P9 Lite Beta I brought the phone and I have never installed any roms or so on
my question is it seems my phone is branded to the Germany Telekom
that's where I brought it makes sense my question is I can not go away from the
firmware or can I go from there firmware to another firmware like the one you can download from there main site that is unbranded
why do I think my phone is branded is because I have tried the Update.app from the 27.03.17 I do the dial code and it restarts it starts goes to 7 percent and it cuts out
failed to install reboot phone and it goes back into the 6.0 Marshmallow
I am wandering how other people are able to install the B170/B171 update I know my Phone Model is (Huawei P9 VNS-L11) but the Phone Model is Huawei P9 LITE Vns-L31 ???
how are people in Europe to install the phone prove its the final code an not the beta since I am not able to update an may people are saying its finished and it being rolled in OTA
what do I have to do to remove the Telekom software and install a stock rom without it being locked preventing me from installing the update to 7.0 please replay thanks you and enjoy the weekend
Hello Everybody.
I have a Nubia z17 lite and I love it! Yesterday an upgrade appeared on my phone and I went ahead with it. To my surprise this "upgrade" remove me the access to Gmail, Google Play... all of Google Services..... :crying::crying::crying:
I have found this firmware zte-nubia-z17-lite-snapdragon-653-v1-10-smartphone-firmware-updated-20181023 Which I believe by the comments that is a 5.0 UI working whit google services
Can I install by local upgrade even if it is a downgrade? Will it work or do I have to do a workaround?
Thank you in advance for the help!!!:good::good::good::good:
Hello,
In case anyone has the same problem. I used the firmware mentioned above and flashed it. It installed the ui 5.0 but still had problems. I did a factory reset and it zeroed my phone to UI 5.0 and as of now it's working like before.
Hello there,
I have just received an old P9 lite - VNS-L21C432B160. I has Android 6.0 an EMUI 4. I wanted to flash a custom ROM but I am not able to. I have bootloader unlocked. I am able to instal TWRP 3.0.2-0. But all custom ROMs I tried, gave me ERROR7 or Signal 11. (It is not possible to correct Error7 according to manuals here...)
There is TWRP 3.2.1 for this phone but it doesn't work at all. I found out, it wants EMUI5.x which I do not have. Is it correct that I need to update to Nougat7 and EMUI5 first? I am trying to do it maybe 4 days already. I have tried everything which is available on the internet but I failed. I have original Stock ROM file with Android 6 - it works.. I also have update file for Android 7 (B336), but the phone doesn't want it. According to official manual, I need some kind of transfer package, which is not available.
Can anybody help me with flashing a custom ROM to this phone? I would love to have LineageOS 14.1
Thank you very much
Karel

Hi Karel,
use Firmware Finder app to update to android 7.
I recommend vpn/dns method.
You should point to B370 FULLOTA-MF-PV one...
All info are inside the app and some videos are on You_tu_be...
You can update the same way to latest firmware.
Good luck... :fingers-crossed:
Dude if you will succeed do not use 3.2.1 twrp, use instead 3.1.1-1 one..
Cheers

Dude, the instructions are so old,
also i never installed LineageOS 14 on my p9 lite. (I do not have it anymore)
I can tell you to use twrp version 3.1.1-1 and I recommend posting it
in the appropriate thread, maybe other users can answer in more detail ..
Regards

Hello dude,
i wish to help but i think it's not possible....
anyway the best you can wish for is having android 7 stock
or some custom version of android 8.
As you wrote you have the cinese variant (G9 Youth). It should have
a different processor and need a personalized rom, can you check it ?
Go in settings, phone info...
Please report your complete firmware version
(example: VNS-L21C432B160/VNS-AL00C00B230)
and chipset version (example: Kirin 650/Snapdragon SD 617)
P.S.: You don't need to post in multiple sections.
It is also considered to be a duplicate and it is
against the rules ...
Hey Guys, Yes, I Know, there exists already some threads about that problem, but often there are not accurately so I ask you again.
I have a VNS-L31 Dual Sim, bought in Germany without Brand, and I had Resurection Remix installed. I had some Problems with SafetyNet and so on so I decided to switch to the Stock Rom. After some Problems with the data partition (witch I forgot to format), I have now a working OS, flashed with DLoad Method.
Build Number: VNS-L31C432B160
Locked Bootloader, stock Recovery
The Problem is, that this OS does not recieve any updates, and it would be perfect to have nougat on this one. I tryd Firmware Finder already, but after try to upgrade to B370, the Upgrader said "failed to check the upgrade files. Please download once again.". It was a Full OTA Upgrade. Other Versions result into the same or simmilar failures like compatibility issues.
Do you have a Idea how to fix that?
I'm sorry for my bad english
Have a nice day
