Hey Guys, Yes, I Know, there exists already some threads about that problem, but often there are not accurately so I ask you again.
I have a VNS-L31 Dual Sim, bought in Germany without Brand, and I had Resurection Remix installed. I had some Problems with SafetyNet and so on so I decided to switch to the Stock Rom. After some Problems with the data partition (witch I forgot to format), I have now a working OS, flashed with DLoad Method.
Build Number: VNS-L31C432B160
Locked Bootloader, stock Recovery
The Problem is, that this OS does not recieve any updates, and it would be perfect to have nougat on this one. I tryd Firmware Finder already, but after try to upgrade to B370, the Upgrader said "failed to check the upgrade files. Please download once again.". It was a Full OTA Upgrade. Other Versions result into the same or simmilar failures like compatibility issues.
Do you have a Idea how to fix that?
I'm sorry for my bad english
Have a nice day

Hi guys,
New to the forum here. I've flashed B170 a while back to get the most stable Lollipop edition, but I'd really like to try Marshmallow. The thing is, I can't figure out how to downgrade it back to B100/B121/B130 or to Upgrade it to B313. Is it possible to do either of those two things without an unlocked bootloader? There doesn't seem to be a way of flashing any packages on the phone, so I've sort of resigned myself to having to flash it via adb, but is this possible when I don't have an unlock code for the bootloader? Thanks for any help; I've really read through all the threads, but I couldn't come up with an answer.
Hi !
In order to upgrade to MM, you will have to downgrade to an upgradable version like B140. All the things you need are in the MM Upgrade topic of this forum.
In order to rollback from MM fo Lollipop, everything is explained in the same topic but you'll have to download a temporary system (B300) and then you'll be able to downgrade. Anyway, everything is in the MM Update topic.
I don't think you have to unlock bootloader to do all that but it would be easier because you would be able to use Honor 7 Multitool which is a software that does everything for you in no time
Good luck (MM version of the Honor 7 is awesome !)

Thanks for the reply! However, you can't use the B300 rollback on B170 (which is a Lollipop rom), can you? I've read the Marshmallow topic, and I was none the wiser - I can't seem to figure out if there's any way to get back to an upgradable version without flashing with the Honor tool (which requires an unlocked bootloader, non?). Sorry for the n00b-factor!

so many treads around here described the solution to do! Please use the search engine too
read following from there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64673136&postcount=74
and...
try to flash the B313 Rollback file first!
Maybe it will stop with "not successful!" nearly ~93% but THIS DOESN’T MATTER! a reboot should bring you to interim B300. Then you should be able to flash the B121 Full update out of your dload folder from your internal SD. If this work, you should be able to update to B313. You do not lost your personal data, but make a backup to be sure!
Hello everybody,
A few weeks ago i update my P8 Lite from B181 to B550 but i got the Balong bug but since very people said to me that this bug don´t affect the daily use of the phone, i don´t mind with it. But a few days ago, my phone from nowhere start to install a update ( i don´t selected anything) and after the update my phone was tottaly clean, like, no apps, no files, nothing! the phone memory was completly gone!
Now i´m think is better to go back to Stock ROM, but i need help because some people said that install via local update the original firmware works ( i don´t have the option to choose local update like i have in B181 before update) and other people said that the process is a little bit more hard.
So, can someone help me please?
My Phone is locked to Vodafone Portugal (Single SIM). Like a said before update to B550 i was in B181
Thank you everybody and sorry for the bad english :good:
First of all you b550 is for dual sim,you have single sim so you need b551.
Second b550/1 it's stock rom,it's just stock 6.0
Balong bug appears when you flash a firmware that is not for your country so in order to get rid of balong, just flash the file from vendor/custom folder that cames in the archive of your last firmware downloaded.
Is your bootloader unlocked?

Hello, ive been surfing this forum for a while, it helped me to change the firmware of my NXT-AL10 to the international versión, using Fastboot but the versión i was able to install is very old, (NXT-C900B133), it has a few bugs, but at least i got rid of the chinesee software.
Now im trying to update to the new Emui 4.1 the B320 firmware or the newest available, but i allready tried to updated using the dload method, but didnt work, i tried at least 3 diferent firmware version, the only version that i havent tried is the NXT-AL10 – NXT-AL10C00B350 because i believe that it will install again the chinesee version.
Can anyone point me on how to update my NXT-AL10 to the newest international version available without bricking my phone?
i apreciate!
It's supposed to be as easy as flashing the B321 firmware via twrp, just as you would flash any ROM regardless of which variant of the phone you've got. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong here.

Thanks, the truth is that i have technically zero experience with this, it was actually a miracle how i flashed it, i use this thread to find my way to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/howto-load-international-mate-8-t3293619 but i have no idea on how to use twrp.
On the guide that i followed, it was very detailed, it had the download links, and i even had to pay 4 Euro to get my phone bootloader unlocked, but the guide was very explicit.
Now that the booloader is unlocked, and i have a flashed rom, what would be the method, is there a guide like the first one, but with the latest firmware?
Hi guys. I've a Huawei Nova L01 with CAN-L01C02B331 and CUSTC02D002 firmware. I want to try the lineageos build published by grarak on his twitter account but some weeks ago i risked to brick the phone (i was already on nougat). Anyone know a safe and effective guide for that? Thanks to those who will help me

You can talk with Grarak on Twitter and ask him how to solve this issue and if it's possible to go back on marshmallow from emui5
already done so, zero response
Asked huawei for rollback link
Same problem here, so I emailed huawei for a rollback link. I'm on NRD90M so normally should be able to revert to original MM... No response so far...

And how can we go back to mm, is there a tool to do it? I have tried to flash mm but I'm not able because system and cust partition are bigger on stock mm firmwares, so once installed nougat we are not able to go back on mm. Basically they have to release a tool witch will automatically repartition system and cut partitions or release a mm firmware with smaller partitions....Oh sorry they didn't respond, I'm curious about they're response, if they will ever replay to you e-mail.

Well, thats whats the NRD90M build is made for, so you would be able to return to MM Its a build that should give the opportunity to have a rollback... However, what I have learned is that you need a specific updatefile to do this... This updatefile, does not exist (?)
My phone had to be repaired last week, and the Huawei repair service changed everything in the phone except for the backplate.
However, I am now stuck with emui 4.1.2 in firmware VNS-L31 C432 B226, and i can't find a replacement firmware for the system.
The phone shows no update available in stock.
I have TWRP and magisk installed atm, just so i could try and get a different firmware with emui 5.1 or 5.0 at least, which I did to no avail.
Is there any way to find the correct firmware compatible with this phone?
Googling this firmware gives me no clues as to the correct path to updating this phone.
Should i use an adb/fastboot command prompt to update it, or use the dload method, or even the extract the SYSTEM.img from UPDATE.app method?
I just don't want to revert to an "earlier" version of the firmware with the dload method just to have my phone bricked.
These are the firmware i tried already:
[TO BE UPDATED]
TL/DR:
I have a Huawei P9 Lite repaired to a stock:
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 B226
EMUI: 4.1.2
in Portugal.
I want to know a compatible firmware or series of firmware patches so i can get
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 Bxxx
EMUI: 5.xx
Thank you for your time.
Hello,
it's strange that with an unbranded european firmware your phone didn't upgraded to android 7....
Anyhow i never done a forced upgrade but if i were you i wil try with HWOTA update, like explained in this thread.
So first make all your necessary backups, then unroot and finally follow the guide to upgrade.
P.S.: If your phone is dual sim try install B370, if single sim try with B371.
All the best

I tried a bunch of firmwares for emui 5.1 that didn't work, or which had NFC and bluetooth not working. I ended up downgrading to B160, and am now reupgrading to B370 after checking that both of the previously mentioned are working properly. I will update on this issue asap.
Also, it seems like the firmware I originally had was updated in march 2018, so it was really an updated official firmware with emui 4.1. What a weird setup. Could it be to make sure the NFC and bluetooth would be working? I just don't know...

I did it and it worked, however i flashed the recovery partition of version VNS-L31C432B380 with TWRP and now can't do a OTA update to B388.
Should I extract the recovery img from a b380 FULLOTA update and flash it to my recovery partition with fastboot?

Hey,
surely without stock recovery OTA updates won't work,
so yes try flash it with fastboot, then update to the latest/wanted firmware and finally unlock bootloader,
flash custom recovery and root (even if wanted).
Best regards
