We got updated to the news not long ago that there will be a red variant of the honor 7x for a one day sale that is on Valentines day.
The red version is really beautiful though. what thoughts do you guys have as compared to your honor 7x variant since there is no other difference between the specs.

Also later today we were updated with the latest news about the face unlock feature which has been in news from the Iphone X and Oneplus 5T.
Huawei announced about it being available for Honor 7x similar to the Oneplus 5T since there are no special sensors like that of Iphone X.
Hoping it to be updated with Oreo in the Q1 of this year.
What are your thoughts on it? looks like Honor 7X is getting love from the Huawei this Valentines a lot

Its still competitive in terms of flagship phones.. The ai feature will makeup for the flaws in terms of face unlock.. Even 5t is not much better compared to 7x front camera.. A slight face sharpening in terms for the face unlock update will do the job..

I'd say all of it? it has a new color, (gunmetal grey) a 16mp front facing camera 3400 mah battery and up to 128 gigs of storage. Obviously the SD 821. So no porting needed. It will get updates the same time the 3 does.
They said on the launch that the software updates would be the same for both the 3 and the 3t

For £40 extra I might as well go for the 128gb. Nice to see they are not charging through the nose for the extra memory!
For fellow Canadians it's $599 for the 64GB version, and i'm estimating around $640-660 for the 128GB.
I was waiting eagerly for the OP5 but was disappointed by its camera performance. Since the S8 is only 40 bucks more expensive here in Germany I'm considering getting this device.
In some S8 and OP5 comparisons I saw that the OP5 is way snappier than the S8 and I was wondering if this was only due to Samsungs TouchWiz and other bloatware. I REALLY adore the snappyness of the OP5 and I'm wondering if using a custom ROM (like Renovate Ice) will give me the same user experience. In Germany they sell the Exynos version, so the hardware shouldn't be the limiting factor for making it slower than the OP5 I guess. I also saw a youtube review where the S8 with the Renovate Ice 2.0 ROM had way better performance in AnTuTu than on stock (I think 174 compared to 16x000 points).
Can someone tell me, if custom roms make the device snappier? In terms of opening apps, scrolling, browsing, switching between apps, fingerprint reader/iris scanner?

Snappier than stock? Yes. As good as a OP 5 or 3t? Not quite.
The S8 ist perfectly smooth, but some actions take a little thinking before they fire.
Wether this improves when AOSP hits the S8 remains to be seen.
On another note: take the S8. Once you had that screen everything else just looks dated. Plus the camera is incredible. Everything else will be taken care of by our great devs. It'll just take some time.
Redmi Note 7 has been out for nearly 5 months now, where is the pixel experience rom for this device??

Maybe you work on it.
Devs have no obligation to us. They do it on their free time, so demanding like that just because it is already out for sometime. Demanding does not help
Honestly the best thing is installing xiaomi.eu rom + debloating it.
MIUI offers way more functionality (and the design of MIUI 10 is pretty good). I never thought I would say that one day

cameras are a little different (but who uses their phone for the camera anyway lol)
note 7 has headphone jack and ir blaster (both i dont use either)
