I have a xda II that gives the error, error 36001.100.2 when I start the camera app, Also the sound has gone. I can hear a hiss but no sound, so the speaker is working.
I have hard reset the xda no change. I am about to reinstall the rom. (wating on a new usb cable!)
Rom - 1.60.00wwe
Radio - 1.08.00
I did find one link that suggested taping the phone on the table!, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=7880&highlight=camera+36001) and yes I did try this... but still no luck, I would love to have a better understanding what the problem may be. I have dismantled the unit to check the spk connections which are fine.

upgrade the camera module
I have reloaded the rom, still no good, however. I then removed the camera, module, I noticed some dark marks on 2 contacts.
Once I put the phone back together, the sound now works. So my guess is some water has shorted the camera out.
So my question now is, can I put a different camera from a newer phone in this one?
Hope to hear back some day?

i doubt it they need to be compatible to work
because the protocol they communicate with need to be the same

Try to disable all programs, and try it again. Had these problems b4 and noticed some aftermarkets program crash with my XDA2 camera feature.

I would like to replace my wizard microfone. I already have a replacement one, but I'm having difficulties taking the old one out. I'm afraid of damaging something because it's really sticky and I don't know if it is glued or if it's welded.
Can you help to discover how to remove the old mic?

A friend gave me a hermes to upgrade to wm6 hoping that the microphone would work again after the upgrade. Nothing happened, so I think the mic is broken. Are there any chances to change the faulty part by myself and where can I get spare parts?

On the Wiki you will find the disassembly guide, but changing the mic will require soldering skills

Try looking on ebay for a repair/parts phone. Even in this forum I've seen parts for sale.

ooops sorry after a bit of testing I noticed that the mic is working: it is recording but not loud enough ... I have to almost scream to make it hearable in the speaker
I already tried to copy/make a shortcut of setacusticparam in the startup menu but nothing changed and I have half a dozen setacusticparam files in my windows directory which I cannot delete... any other ideas ?

I have myself a broken Wildfire. Broken screen but intact display, so its just the digitiser that is busted.
Now the huge question is how to replace the thing. I fiddled around an go stuck at removing the LCD screen.
If some1 has a photo guide or video that would help me out greatly.
Also if anyone knows where to get a new digitiser for not alot of cash plz PM me or post a link as reply.

Hello everyone, i have a water-damaged Focus that everything is working except the camera. When i try to enter the camera it show a black screen for a sec and then it quits back to the start menu.
I checked the mainboard and saw that it has some components missing around the camera ic. Now i have to find the components that are missing. Does anyone know where i can find the schematic diagram of Focus mainboard? Or maybe someone could send me a high-def photo of a working mainboard?

Would a teardown help? Here too (both contain the motherboard).
Thanks for your answer. It was quite helpful. I found the spots on the mainboard that i have components missing but i dont know what kind of components are missing. So a schematic diagram would be very helpful in my case.

That's going to be harder to find, I believe only Sammy's authorized repairers have these.
