Is this a mmc problem ? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, one week ago, my galaxy note 4 (sm-n910f) started to have some freezes and, when benchmarking the mmc, very unstable speed, from normal (~200mb/s read and ~100mb/s write) to hdd-like (~40mb/s read and ~30mb/s write) using androbench. But today, after I wanted to restart my phone, I unfortunately can't describe the entire thing because I was not concentrated on my device so absolutely no info on wether the splash logo showed or not, but what happened was that I got an animated logo (a white padlock with two arcs rotating around it, in alternation blue or green each appearance) and after this logo, a message saying that the memory was corrupted and that I had to reset my phone by clicking on a button that I clicked but, I agree, awfull reaction, I quickly removed my battery and tried to boot it up again. Lucky me, this time it worked and I'm actually doing a full backup of my phone... So do you think this is an mmc problem, has anybody encountered this screen before and how can I get a new mmc/motherboard ?
Thanks in advance
jphlag
ps : maybe we should try to make a change[.org] to force samsung to accept free repairs on note 4 that have mmc issues and that are not and have never been rooted like mine...

Unit keeps on freezing at start up

Any help is greatley appreciated. I just bought the xda2 a week ago and it worked fine until yesterday. At first the phone just wouldnt dial. Then it would freeez. After a soft reset, it wouldnt go past the first "o2" screen and would just hang. The blue light started flashing eventhough I never enabled Bluetooth. The system didnt start past that screen and it also wouldn't shut off. Even after a hard reset it still had the same symptoms(it froze at the bootup screen and had flashing blue light). Around 30 minutes later after trying to turn it on and off. I finally started. But then it happened again today. Thanx in advance
If it still displays these symptoms after a hard reset then it look like a hardware fault. Only other thing i can think of is if you have a memory card inserted that is upsetting the system.
It doesnt have a memory card. I was afraid it might be hardware related. Any idea on how to have it repaired from the US

[Q] Samsung Note 2 stuck on strange screen. Pls Help.

Helo Forum,
You must have noticed I'm a new member. This forum came highly recommended by every site and every other forum I had visited in search of a solution to my uniquely strange problem. It amazing what wonderful job you guys are doing solving people's problems for free.
Phone status: Samsung Galaxy Note 2, upgraded to android 4.3, rooted but not yet flashed a custom rom, hard reset a couple of weeks ago.
Without warning, my note 2 started acting up. I picked it up after an hour of receiving a call only to notice that it was stuck on the samsung logo screen. Prior to that, I can confirm that I did not tamper with it in any way. I turned it off and on again, this time around, all I could see is a screen filled with strange tiny ash colored horizontal lines from top to bottom. It simply got stuck on this unresponsive screen and refused to boot any further. I turned it off and on several times and even pulled the battery several times but there was no change. When I connect it to a pc, it appears as "local disc Q" and when i try to open it, I get the error message "Access denied". I also tried a hard reset using the volume up + home + power on several times, not a single change was noticed. I've attached a picture of the strange phone screen.
If anyone has encountered a similar problem or if anyone has an idea of how this can be fixed, and kind enough to take me through the step by step process of fixing it, I will be super grateful!
Pls let me mention here that my IT skills are not very advanced, so please use simple terms. Let me also apologise if it turns out that a similar thread has been posted on this forum, I searched but couldnt find any with my kind of problem before I decided to post.
Here's my email: [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
It seems to be a hardware problem rather than a software one
Try taking it to the service centre and get your motherboard fixed

Can you boot in download mod? Its showing any image? Or only this? I mean if you can see samsung logo or bootanimation maybe the problem its software...
If you can enter download mode and you can see any image...in your place I will flash a new rom using ODIN.
Saludos! And please let us know how its goes.
Thanks guys for your prompt response.
@Cocolopes, I cant see anything but the unresponsive weird looking screen. Every effort to clear it up has failed so far. The phone has refused to respond to any command including volume up + home + power. Not even a sound. Like I said in my earlier post, it started with the appearance of the samsung logo which refused to go away, so I pulled the battery and then this weird screen appeared.
@jay5204.abd, yeah I also suspect it could be a hardware problem but I always choose to make the service center option a last resort. I prefer to share with wizards in the forums first, just in case someone had experienced a similar problem and solved it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge SM-N915F Shows Over Heating Message and Stops Working

Hi all,
My name is Matt and I bought a Samsung Note 4 Edge SM-N915F phone about a year ago, everything was working fine until the system showed me a message of new update available do you want to install? so I pressed okay and waited, while the update was installing. It finished installing but kept going on a boot loop after restart, naturally I sent it to a maintenance shop and they did something to it and told me it was not fixable. So I tried to google some stuff and decided to update it manually using Odin. For a second there it worked and started up until I had to insert my sim card back in. so while trying to turn it back on it kept showing me overheating message and just show blue screen with the notification bar and time showing. so I flashed it over and over again with different firmware hoping it was a software glitch but no change now the phone boot loops couple of times and starts up with the setup wizard then the overheating message pops up again showing "your device is overheating. It will cool down after shut down...".
Current Problems
- Can't charge the phone, it shows a danger temperature sign with blinking red LED
- Phone boot loop
- If it passes the boot loop at some point it shows overheating message and powers off
Any thoughts
Please help

It seems like you have a hardware issues most probably the motherboard, flashing different firmware or rom will not fix the problem. If you're still under warranty go to the samsung service center if you're not then you have to pay for the service and the spare parts *recommended*.. or you can go for local tech's which is less expensive but no warranty for the spare parts.

[HELP] Cant unbrick yureka plus no matter what

Hello developers and my fellow xda members i would like to ask for your help on this matter my yureka plus has been hard bricked since 20 days now and no matter what i try it wont get unbricked.
how did it happen??
well even i dont know actually i had recently flashed an 8.1.0 oreo rom known as nitrogen os and it ran well for like a week till one fateful thursday i have a habit of cleaning my device with clean master and restarting it every week and i did that and the next thing i know my device wont boot up later on i found out for the very first time my device had hardbriccked with no mistake of mine.
link to the rom i used :: https://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/development/rom-nitrogenos-t3701962
what solutions did you try??
well, many actually since this is the only device i have and i have been using it for a well over 2 years now i did the good ol google search accompanied by a youtube search to find out how to get my beloved device back.
these r all the methods that i used which ended up "successful" but my device refuses to boot up even though i have followed every one of these tutorials to revive my device perfectly even repeating the process 2-3 times thinking i did something wrong but to no avail the device still refuses to get unbricked.
links to the methods i tried :: https://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/help/guide-unbrick-hard-bricked-yureka-t3303112 (claims to have unbricked his device 3 times didnt work for me though)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n1qTpVvOZ0 (claims to have helped 10 other people get thier device back with this same method again didnt work for me)
what r the devices symptoms ??
well, let me see there r many although i have scoured the internet for the past couple of weeks i havent found a single person with the same symptoms as mine.
when the sd card (on which the emmc is still burned on) is out of the device no matter how long you press the power button the device will not show any signs just nothing.
when put on charging or connected to the laptop (without the sd card) though it just shows that dreaded little red notification light and thats all.
with the sd card in and emmc burned onto it the device when holding the power button will just flash the screen with nothing but just a black screen no text no logo just a plain black flashing screen until i let go of the power button.
when plugged in to a laptop or a charger with the emmc in though the device vibrates goes into the "fastboot mode" with all the lines automatically without me doing nothing just plugging it in and it doesnt stop there it keeps repeating the cycle of vibrating going into the fastboot mode then going off till i take the cable off.
but the laptop doesnt detect it as anything not as "qhusb bulk" not as "qloader 9008" not even as an unknown device even though i have installed all the drivers neccessary and more.
the device has been in this state since well over 20 days now and i cannot for the life of me am able to revive it so i ask for everyones help for i will b forever grateful if u help me get this device back.
also, i refuse to believe its any hardware problem since the device has never fell off from my hand ever since i bought it over 2 years ago.
I was having a similar problem what is ur model name was it android one or cyanogen one.
If it was android one then flash this file with ydgp tool
If it doesn't start then to try to boot using charger connected
If the booting process starts or it show yu logo after yureka plus logo that means it's your battery problem

LENOVO VIBE K5 NOTE wierd problem. Boot Loop. Baseband Unavailable.

**PLEASE READ**
I've got a really unusual kind of problem right now. Everything was alright and 2 days ago, the phone started to shut down on its own. I don't think its because of high temperature because its winter here with optimal 16 degrees of temperature. And now, I see that the baseband version is unavailable in the settings. It automatically got corrected once. But again, phone shuts-down itself. And now it shows No SIM Card (though it is properly in, yup, probably because of a corrupt baseband). Next, the phone won't turn on now. It shows the boot logo and then goes to make unusual designs with some beautiful lines (video attached), and that makes me think if there's a problem with the hardware or the software. I purely doubt in on the software. It randomly turns off with just one click of the power button whenever the boot screen stucks. If it turns on anyway, that wont be for more than a few seconds or so.
I'll hard reset the phone once I turn it on and backup all my data. The data inside is crucial. I usually troubleshoot myself, but I'm helpless this time. HELP! :crying:
