So here it is guys I think it is somewhat of a relevant comparison. For some weird reason geekbench 4 gave an error message for the Mi6.
So what do you think? Are there other apps that can be used to better demonstrate a speed test?

Switching from the iPhone 6 to zenfone, I had high hopes. Unfortunately the zenfone did not deliver in terms of performance. Too much lag. Bought the s6 edge and returning the zenfone 2 tomorrow. Can you tell me what was in the box? I see an empty slot in there and can't remember what was in it. And on another note, good bye fam!
And you felt the need to make a thread about this?
Good luck with future endeavors. To find what's in the box, feel free to Google an unboxing video.
Zenfone 2 vs Samsung S6, not at all the same price category.
Anyway, the lag when it happens are mostly related to the current version of Android. Such lag exist also on Samsung S5/S6 with Lollipop...
What lag?

i think u r new to samsung ...its one of the most lagging phones it will start to lag within 3-6 months if u r lucky it won't lag for 12-15 months (25-30% chances) my friend has s6 edge it started to lag within 3 mnths...... zf2 is way better in pricing and support for updates...
u r takin a big risk by buying sammy ...... i have used note edge and so far the worst flagship
my opinion is this for sammy
btw , 5.1.1 was on the way u could have waited for a while...
Pfffff, if you think the ZenFone 2 is laggy, then wait until you start using Touchwiz. That is where Lag Central is at.

I don't know exactly what you mean about zenfone 2 laggy?
with 4GB RAM and quad core 2,3ghz Intel 64 bit.. . how come you find lag?
Go away, troll

I did the same from an Iphone 6 and couldnt be happier.
You dont see the potential this device has..you could have waited for 5.1.1
K bye Felicia!
Don't understand the need some have to troll like this. Don't like the phone and getting another? Fine. No need to post in the phone's forum about it.
Ok folks,
The OP said he gave up and farewell. There's no need to keep this thread going. Not to mention we have more than enough phone comparison threads on this website.

I'm looking to replace my Moto G 2nd Gen with a phone which offers decent performance (light gaming and apps) and at least 1 or 1.5 days of battery backup. I have been closely reading OP2 XDA Forums and OP Community for a month and found a lot of issues related to fingerprint sensors, lags and heating.
Could you please tell me if things are improved in Oxygen OS 3 ? I also don't mind flashing custom ROMs, if they are stable.
I have read about the overheating issues in SD 810. Does it make the OP2 too hot to handle it with light gaming and normal apps (Mail, Maps, Chrome, etc.) usage? Or do you recommend settling down to the newly launched Zenfone 3 with some sacrifice in performance?
Thanks for the responses!
Edit: My budget was $250. I have stretched it to $300 now. It would be great if you could give your opinions considering the price. Also, I feel that 6 GB RAM is an overkill for a smartphone and the battery life of OP3 in the reviews doesn't seem to be impressive.
Yeah it's definitely worth buying if you are looking to upgrade. The phone still would easily outperform many phones in the market. With the sort of development oneplus two is getting now easily it'll be future proof (atleast with custom roms) for another 2-3 years. Most problems are fixed by oxygen 3 and custom roms. I have no issues with throlling, finger print, etc. Marshmallow roms seems to have increased the performance of the phone. And 4gb ram is still enormously enough to kill all the tasks. Considering all this being said if you have the budget choose nexus 6p or even oneplus 3 now.
P. S: if you buy you got to flash AOSPA.

I would said yes one - two months ago, but as the Oneplus 3 has been announced and is now out for buying, I would say no. In term of development, the Oneplus 3 is far away from the 2, as Cyanogenmod is already ported to it (4 hours after release).
I can't see any point sticking with the Oneplus 2. Go for the 3, this is my advise .
I would go for the OP2, the 3 doesn't seen much of an upgrade for the price

Bought the OPT a few weeks ago and its an awesome machine, with 3.0.2 is great, great battery life, very snappy and i have had no issues related to over heating or fingerprint scanner, and if i think that my Note 4 scored 54000 odd on Antutu and my OPT scored 76000 (stock) odd which shows its massive performance potential, plus it's well built too and the camera is a real surprise, it's really good.

Definitely, no.
I am selling it.
Go for a OnePlus 3
Hard to recommend op2 when op3 is out now. 2 gb ram more, far cooler processor, better build quality (subjective!) and a much better camera.
Thanks everyone for your opinion. I have ordered OP2 yesterday. Let's see how it turns out to be
I am looking to buy a new phone and right now I am split between the Redmi 3 pro and Redmi 3S pro. I love the way they look on paper. The battery, the lack of a 1080p screen is a pro (I find 1080p screens on <6" phones useless, 900p should be the norm here), the size, the price, the RAM.
The only difference I know is in the SoC. The one in 3S looks more future-proof (Adreno 505), but it's useless to be future proof if no one is taking advantage of that.
I know I should give it time, but the only people talking about the 3S are "thanks" commenters on the miui forums. Google searching that phones yields results for the Redmi 3. It has no global ROM. There are 3 threads about it on XDA, none having a reply.
Which one should I go for?
man what are you talking about.720p is more than enought for redmi 3.why do you want to waste battery and performance for just a 1080 p screen which is useless in real life.redmi 3 has very good screen.ya 3s is futureproof and redmi 3 does not has global rom bt i am happy with chinese stable cause its more stable than global rom + it gets update faster.and its not too hard to install plastore ya know.
Sorry, all that's mentioned there were pro's. I personally HATE that they need to put 1080p screens on everything, 440 dpi is overkill...
What about MIUI killing apps in the background? I read about that a lot.
miui killing background app? just lock that app in task manager then it will stay there till u kill the app urself
Anything you get will be great. All the phones you are considering are just as good. So if you can find one of the phones at a better price, get it. You won't be disappointed. However I find that development is lacking on the Redmi 3. While there are a lot of ROMs, they have their bugs. This is a pretty new phone so it will get updates on MIUI. As long as you like the skin, you will be good.
I personally can't stand MIUI so I'm glad I got the Mi4c. You should consider it too. It's got a 1080p display and a better processor (SD 808) but only 3000mah battery (which still gets me 6 hours SOT) and no SD card.
My vote would be for the 3S and hope it gets some dev support.
Just ordered a Redmi 3s
Mi4c was my first option before some local retailer advertised Redmi 3S and I found about them. Still, Redmi 3S it's like 70% of the price of the Mi4c here and that battery.... That battery. I dislike miui too, but global ROM is coming.
Snapdragon 430 supports quick charge 3.0 so I assume it is supported by the 3S model. This is a good reason for choosing 3S
[AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'm having trouble trying to decide whether to post this in the ZenFone 3 threads or here in the ZenFone 5 threads because I am looking at this from the perspective of a 3-year ZenFone 5 user. If this post is supposed to be in the ZenFone 3 forums, by all means, please move my thread. Thank you!]
Title is technically too much of a gist right now.
I'll be recursive on this one... Is the ZenFone 3 worth it? I've had my share of joy with the sheer potential of this phone while being extremely affordable for its class. I've also had my share of disappointments like ASUS intentionally shipping "defective" motherboards along with them (You know... The bootloader-freezey thingy?), the mediocre battery capacity, the worse than mediocre service from ASUS, and the inexperience of developers with the x86 platform (I own an A500CG model).
One of the main reasons why I want to move up is because 8GBs (only 4GBs usable) is becoming too small for my needs now. I'd stay with my ZenFone 5 for a lot longer if only I could use custom 6.0 ROMs so that I can adopt my 64GB MicroSD card (which is technically a waste because as it is right now, Android 5.0 just isn't being too friendly with them. Root mods like those from Xposed can only do so little. My best option is to go 6.0 with the Adopted MicroSD support).
SIDE QUESTION: Is the reason for me switching phones just plain silly?
If you could definitely recommend the ZenFone 3, I'd bite it. If not, anything better, perhaps? All opinions welcome!
i speak as well form the perspective on a zf 5 user ( victim with the freezing issue) to me the zf5 was a complete flop with its many flaws to which the list will never end ..................the zf2 was a bang to the buck mid ranger device well worth to the money (based on my friend who has the 64 gb deluxe version) and then come the zf3 which just blows up with a massive price tag of 300+$ for what it it looks on the outside it might look reasonable but under the hood it has quite a slow processor for the price i mean 625 sd should come around the place the zf2 did in price not higher ...... in my opinion you might want to drop the zf3 and go for xiaomi note 3 pro which is more better in terms speed and durability than the zf3 has (speaking from the 4ft drop test by tech trinkets for zf3 and the scratch, bend and burn tests by jerryrig everthing for xiaomi)
Is anyone else seeing this on Ticwatches that the info on the FTSN is different to whats on wearOS.
For example in the screenshot below the FTSN shows i hvae done 4073 steps while WearOS shows 1435. If i go into the Mobvoi app it shows different info from the other two.
I can see there are reports on the mobvoi forum of incorrect counting of steps but i dont see any that details different steps between FSTN vs WearOS vs App and i opened a thread on their forum to report this it was not posted. mobvoi seem to screen the threads and responses and only allow some. I can understand some differences between them but 4k vs 1.5k it seems like something bigger is going on.

The Ticwatch pro 3 is a cool watch, but it's junk compared to my Active 2. WearOS has gone to the dumps and now they are partnered with Samsung anyway and the Ultra is 299. No way is that worth that price. I returned the Ticwatch and went back to my Active 2. I don't see a good future for smart watches.
This Wear OS 3 Situation Really Sucks
Today should have been a big day for Fossil. The company announced its long-awaited Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch, the follow-up to the mostly enjoyable Gen 5, with upgraded specs across the board that should provide a dramatically improved experience. Unfortunately, the story from today’s...

i agree wear OS is useless and only seems to be getting worse.
just checked it on mine(pro3 LTE) and there is no difference
perhaps it has been fixed since your first post?
