Considering to buy a HD2 in the next time.. Can somebody tell me where to get it cheap in Germany? The cheapest i found is just 570 incl. shipping.. But i have read of 515 or sth....
http://geizhals.at/deutschland/a470265.html
the cheapest I found so far is 535,90€ on http://www.handy-navi.de/Handy-und-Smartphone/HTC/HTC-Touch-HD-2-anthrazit-T-Mobile::804.html
but I never ordered from handy-navy.de. So I don't know if the seller is trustable.
Just ordered mine from danto.de.. They seem to be serious as they have good ratings and an exact publishing date. However it costs 570 €... But i want to be sure when it comes to an expensive phone...

But it has also T-Mobile branding!
You can order @ expansys.de.
From now just 7 days delivery time. The distributor already has it in stock.
It's not the cheapest, but you can pay in more ways than in other stores, including bank transfer(!).
Update: The date just switched from +7 days to 17.11.2009

T-Mobile aren't branding this phone are they? I heard roumers they weren't
i could offer everyone who is interested the htc hd2 for a price of 600,-€ inclusive shipping costs. i work in a small company in regensburg/ratisbon, germany. we get the phones from one of the biggest german distributors and we have the possibility to ship devices - on advance payment - directly from distributor to costumer. so as soon as the device is available at the distributor, it will be sent to the costumer. distributor telled me at the phone, that the device is expected end of november, no exact date, though.
if anyone is interested in this possibility, or for further questions, you can contact me directly via pm.

this schould not be seen as a commercial offer since i am just a student working "400€-job"-wise in this company, this is an offer for you, if you like to buy from a smaller company with support and service, but get the device quick an not that expensive.
2 devices would make you pay 1180,-€ (590,- each) if you are interested.
If you're looking for the cheapest in Germany, I maintain a vendor list http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Leo/Vendors Its got pretty much all online licensed vendors listed and all comparative prices.
So far the Cheapest vendor shipping to Germany is based in Switzerland (Digitec.ch) and sells the phone for €504. They have the HD2 in English,German & Dutch keyboard layouts too
Keep an eye on the the vendor list though you might find it cheaper. Hope that helps
ps. the absolute cheapest is sold by BTC in Nederland for €469, not sure if they ship to Germany though.

But remember, you have to add customs fees on goods out of Switzerland.
Usually these are 19% VAT and fees for the customs procedure.
All in all, you're buying this one for about €620 and this is more expensive than buying in germany directly.
I'm fairly sure items from Switzerland to anywhere else in the EU are free from Customs. (even though Switzerland isn't completely part EU/EMU) I've had items sent to Ireland and Netherlands from Switzerland and not paid a cent in customs (maybe im lucky? ) But if not you definitely can get customs free HD2 from Netherlands. Algebeld ship to Germany (I think they might have a base there) and its only €524 from them. IF BTC-online ship it you could get it for €469
If you still want to buy from an exclusive German vendor though the cheapest there is TalkThisWay.de for €569 ....at least your not stuck in Norway they sell for almost €725 there.

Taiwan
Is where all HTC's are made according to the AU resellers. Anyone ever have any evidence of any knock-offs of the T9193? There are three or four sellers you can find by Google that have them in the $300.00 US delivered range. Got to be scams or knock-offs.

Hi,
Is it true there is no two year global warranty if I buy galaxy note outside UK (or Europe) now ???
Because I ordered note from negrielectronics and it was shipped from Hong Kong.
If it it true, I would sell and receive the other one which I ordered through UK website.
Thanks in advance.

In order to qualify for Samsung's global warranty two conditions must be met:
1) The device is purchased in its country of intended sale.
2) The device is purchased from an authorized Samsung retailer/reseller.
Should it need service, you'll have to ship it back to the UK. Once it's received, Samsung will ask for a receipt showing the purchase in the currency of the country of intended sale and/or a credit card receipt. They also know which serial numbers were dispatched to which resellers. They frown on grey market sales and are very strict about warranty claims on international devices. There are cases in the SGS2 forum where warranty service was denied because both 1 and 2 above weren't met. Many resellers claim the warranty is in effect but, unless both conditions above are met, it's simply not true. I did a lot of research on this before I bought my ISGS2 in May and it's the reason I just bought a 3G G-Tab from the UK.
does this cover anything more than dead on arrival kind of hardware problems?

It covers all manufacturers defects for two years. No matter where you buy it, a reputable seller should/would make good on DOA issues.
if any of you are from Hong Kong, I need info:
I have gathered about 100+ HTC phones, all broken. Im pretty experienced in repairing that stuff, and have all the service manuals, but I need parts.
My brother is currently in Hong Kong, and He could smuggle them to my country, cause our airport doesnt have security checks on exit (if russians and chinese let you bring a nuke, serbians are going to allow it)
I believe that someone is going to ask me this, so im going to answer it before even asked - I dont want to order it online, cause our customs are retarded (custom prices higher than actual item prices)
so I need 20+ parts for:
HTC Blackstone
HTC HD2
HTC Wildfire
now, the problem: I myself have browsed chinese and HK electronics markets, and it is one hell of a trouble. for example: In Shenzhen, everyone is talking about Hua Qiang Bei being the greatest electronics market, but the truth is that BEST deals and prices, and items themselves are located in the buildings NEXT to the actual Hua Qiang Bei. and it took me 15 days to figure it all out, that is one hell of a place. most of the good chinese Android Tablets could not be found in Hua Qiang Bei, but in the buildings near by.
Is there anyone that could know fort certain, where to buy HTC spare parts in HK ?
Maybe Taiwan, isn't that where they are all from? (The HTC phones )
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Dude, my brother is in HK, and all the spare parts are manufactured in shenzhen/HK for ALL phones, and electronics. I just want to know if there is anyone that knows for a shop that sells spares
isn't smuggling illegal?
This forum is for member-found deals.
Can you people check and see where your phone is made, i found a htc hd2 i want to buy but it says it is made in china. Will this affect the ablity to install android and wp7 on it? i ask this as it is normally made in taiwan
I just check 3 of my HD2's all are made in Taiwan, i guess it won't matter if it's made in china if all the specs are the same. give it a shot & let us know.
actually most HD2 are made in taiwan
so is no need to check. as i know there's no fabric of HD2 in china to see
there have been several instances of people buying cheap 'bargain' fakes from china. i'd be very wary, since you dont know if the hardware is identical, and theres a good chance flashing wont work, especially the hspl stuff, and then drivers in any particular rom may not be correct for the hardware even if it did flash.

have you seen the sticker on the inside of the phone?
BTW Taiwan is a republic of China
Both my t-mobile hd2's were made in China. Both of them I bought within USA and one of them came with the original box and it also says made in China on them so no, it does not affect the quality of the phone and it being "made in China" does not mean it is a fake.
Both of them work fine and were my dev phones..
Both of mine say China as well and one of them is a replacement phone shipped direct from HTC repair.
Also running Android without any problem.

Not strictly correct, Taiwan IS the republic of China (ROC) not a republic of China or I should say was the ROC since they were brutally cut down and fled to Taiwan after WW2, however, most countries quite happily treat Taiwan as its own independent state, and if you look at the political and social situation on the island you can clearly see that they are doing very well for them selves, and are ranked very highly in terms of freedom of speech, health and education.
China is the Peoples republic of China (PRC) which is widely recognised as the legal ruling body of mainland china. The hypocrisy is that whilst we all think Taiwan is independent we cant say so formally otherwise the PRC has vowed to take the island by force and cut off all diplomatic relations with that country… its all very confusing!
back on topic... there was a case not long ago where someone had a HD2 clone made in china, but the devices them selves can be made anywhere now, so its not really a problem unless you have political reasons NOT to buy from china
