Installing Stock Firmware With Using DLOAD Method [SOLVED] - Huawei P10 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
Im using FutureRom B175 right now. I want to change my custom rom to stuck because of some reasons but i can't install stock rom. I suspicious some reasons why it doesnt work well, maybe xda can help my problem.
First of all;
Bootloader unlocked
Recovery, TWRP & ERecovery
Root, Magisk thanks to custom rom
My thoughts:
1 - My phone was VKY-L29C636 when i bought it. After installing future rom B175 it changed to VKY-L29C432. Maybe data files changed it, i dont know
2 - I'm using this rom -> VKY-L29C636B172 Full-OTA. Firmware Finder says it available for you when i check availability from IMEI page. This is link:
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=VKY-L29C636B&firmware_page=0
Downloading update.zip and extract it. Copy update.APP data to my SD Card's root into dload folder. Pressing Vol +, Vol - and Power button. Installation page opens but when its %5, it says software install failed
3 - I tried this method too. What if i use VKY-L29C432 Full-OTA?. I tried it as i mentioned above. It returns this same error.
4 - I saw some text about dload method. Some people say that we should use our SD Cards in FAT32 formatting mode. But i can't send my files into FAT32 SD Card. Because update.app's size is more than 4GB and FAT32 doesnt give any permission to do it. So i had to stay in NTFS format.
My questions
1 - Should i relock bootloader before trying to install stock rom with dload method?
2 - Should i use VKY-L29C636 or C432 update files?
3 - Which format method that i have to use?
4 - If format has to be FAT32, how can copy my update.app into SD Card?
5 - If i send my phone to service, do they say to me "it's mainboard has to change or smt. else"?
Please help me. Im working on it for 2 days. Thanks
@Blackball, maybe you can help me.

My problem solved. I reached him and he said C432 DEVICES ARE NOT CAPABLE to use dload method. So i had to hwota my device. After doing hwota my phone opened. Case solved. Im happy af

Turkish answer : hwota ile çözdüğümü söylemiştim, görmedin heralde. Fat32 ile alakası yok durumun.
English answer : I have already written the solution above. Its fixed by using hwota method. Also Fat32 is not relevant with it.

Sadly both bootloader and FRP are locked on my phone. I can't even unlock the bootloader with locked FRP. Any way to unlock the FRP in fastboot? I can't boot into the system tbh, can only access the recovery, erecovery and fastboot.

Bricked after changing to wrong(?) oeminfo in L21

Hello guys...
I'm so stupid that i was even trying to do something with my phone. I got P9lite from my local carrer (PLAY) (L21C900B160) and i was trying to debrand it. Bootloader is unlocked and i flash TWRP for install new oeminfo (i think i just downloaded wrong one). After that i wanted to reflash my soft via dload (L21C900B160) to same version. Then i realize that i can't do it coz "its not valid version, try correct version" (i was using same dload software before). After that i was trying to normal boot my phone but i have "Type password to decrypt storage" and i'm writing correct password and i see "DECRYPTION UNSUCCESSFUL. You entered the correct password but the data on your phone is corrupt. To resume Using your phone you must perform a factory reset [...]" and i'm doing it. Factory resed done "Successful" and i reebot my phone to set it up but i see always "Type password to decrypt storage". I can't use fastboot commands in fastboot/bootloader mode (even try to find out that my phone is still bl unlocked), and i cant do anything with it. I don't know what to do with this. Please help me guys
EDIT:
1. What can i do with it?
2. It was big mistake to flash oeminfo (c432) to my c900?
3 . Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this oeminfo zip? Added to download for you.
If you used a C432 OEMInfo you must download and install a firmware that is C432 and Marshmallow.. Say B120/B160 and try to flash it through 3 buttons method.. You should get a phone working
I was trying it but installation failed

Your attach oeminfo is for VNS-L21 Dual Sim, and is fine.
That problem with error corrupted firmware is normal after you flash oeminfo...
Something else is going wrong...
You are sure that you put in dload folder on microsdcard update.app from VNS-L21C432B130 stock firmware?

Are you investigating rollback ROMs? Huawei posted them to HiCloud and they are available in FF. Do they work?
They can be installed via hwota only, cause they have online_update tag (no dload option).

They are not approved (yet anyway) so it's HWOTA only.
They should work. The "rollback" FH uses is just the B194 OTA, but it won't flash if you modified /system etc.

Follow op.
1. Unlock bootloader and flash TWRP for Oreo
2. Rebrand to AL00C00. Download dload b115 from here: https://mega.nz/#!88RmjJjA!gGmuc0gL-_sPHOQ0VAXZgTJ3lXmlRRmBqXIYNEyw9XY extract and copy dload folder to external sd.
I used al00 oeminfo from hwota (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2D9GdWntw69RXRTcHBKbV9SMWM) then flashed it manually in TWRP using terminal.
Copy MHA-AL00C00.bin to root of external sdcard.
cp /external_sd/MHA-AL00C00.bin /tmp/oeminfo.bin
dd if=/tmp/oeminfo.bin of=/dev/block/sdd5 bs=1048576
3. Now reboot to eRecovery and let it download firmware which will fail. (Not sure if this is really necessary)
4. Reboot using Vol up+vol down+power, wait for install to finish
5. Use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108 to rebrand back to your firmware.

Yes, the rollback package will give you
c900 global firmware. From there install
B160 for dual sim, B161 for single sim..
When you will stay with this firmware,
update using updater stock or use Firmware Finder..
Follow the guide..

Dont know the one for your cust/region (C212).

Hello,
according with the guide you flashed
wrong package...
You need FULL OTA UPDATE package, it must be
1.7/1.9 gbytes in size wich cames with data..
Flash new one or repeat the whole process.
I found this firmware on internet,
but do not assume any responsability.
If you want give a try here the direct download..
Check it with an antivirus/antimalware software..
http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92443&version=361914&siteCode=mx
If all will go in the right direction at the end
reboot to e-recovery (vol+ + Power)
and make a factory reset.
Hope this time will work..
Best regards

Hello man,
really dont know if i badly explained..
My friend to bring back to MM
you have to strictly follow the guide i posted you..
So you need VNS-L23C212 rollback package then
extract update.app, create a "dload" folder in SD and
pur in it. Turn off and proceed with three buttons method*****
When finished you will have C900 firmware..
(that's a LIMBO firmware)
Delete update.app from SD card...(not dload folder)
Now take tour VNL-L23C212Bxxx firmware,
extract update.app, put in dload folder in SD card
and repeat with three buttons metod.
If all take right direction at end of flash, after booting,
reboot to e-recovery (vol up+ power button) and make a factory reset. Now you have MM firmware..
That's the guide say...
*****= vol up+vol down+power button until It start flashing
That's all my friend...
The other way is to flash L23C212 oeminfo.zip (if you find It)
with TWRP, then VNS-L23C212Bxxx with dload and three
button method. At the end factory reset..

Hello dear,
We will try to make your last one work
system, ie the L21C432B504.
Do you still have access to the system?
Do you have access to TWRP?
Do you have access to fastboot?
You have tried to install the oeminfo file
and this may have closed the bootloader,
so I invite you first, even if it says that it is unlocked, to re-unlock it,
but not before you have made backups of your stuff, as a factory reset will be done.
Reply me when you ready ...
here is your answers brother.

Hi
If you want to unlock bootloader, you have to:
- downgrade to the first version of Android provided by Huawei
- root it with one of the dozens of one-click-root tools (personally I use Kingroot)
- do what mentioned here https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/alternative-method-unlocking-bootloader-t3799294
- done :highfive:
Worked well with me, without problems
thanks for your reply
where i can get first version of Android provided by Huawei to this device

Do you mean stock ROM first version? Sure!
Only for dual SIM:
- download these two packages http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=79348&version=317012&siteCode=it and https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B7aKdgGvGVwrRHBaNVo4VHdDVk0&export=download
- put JUST THE FIRST LINK's unpacked "update.app" file inside your phone's folder "dload" (if you don't have one, create it)
- shut down the phone
- boot up the phone by keeping pressed all the buttons (Power + volume up + volume down)
- wait until the process ends
- then delete the "update.app" from your phone and replace it in the same "dload" folder with the "update.app" file from the SECOND link unpacked folder
- shut down and then boot up the phone with all buttons pressed
- done :highfive:

Yes I meant stock rom.
Is bootloader unlock necessary in this way?
Thanks for this explanation, I will try it out soon.

No, they're official update packages.
Most important thing: you don't have to have TWRP installed (just stock recovery)
PS: if it was helpful, hit "thanks" button :highfive:

Hi
first of all, is your bootloader LOCKED? Do you have stock recovery (=no TWRP)? (I know you are trying to get unlock code, but maybe you had brick problems and lost code)
If yes, try firstly the easiest things:
Delete update.app
Delete dload folder
Reboot
Connect phone to PC
Download again with your PC the first zip and extract it (in your PC), and then copy the dload folder in your phone
Try again
If it still doesn't work, let me know
My P8 lite has locked bootloader (technically it's my mother's phone, I want to flash it with custom rom coz it's really slow and unusable on it's stock rom). Do the bootloader was never unlocked, I do not have a code to unlock it.
What's steps should I undertake to flash it successfully?
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Root
3. Flash twrp
4. Flash rom
Is that correct? How do I unlock bootloader while Huawei stopped providing unlock codes?
I really appreciate your help in this post, thanks faby.

You have to downgrade it first to Android 5
Root it with Kingroot
In your PC, install this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 if you don't have access to ADB commands
Do then what mentioned here (after connecting your phone to your PC and enabling "USB debug" inside developer options in your P8 lite) https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...ve-method-unlocking-bootloader-t3799294/page1
Unlock bootloader with the code you got from the above step (just follow what written in the link)
Flash TWRP
(If you want, flash custom ROM or updated stock ROM)
(If you did it, boot the ROM and then reboot to TWRP)
Flash magisk (the safest way to get root)

For some reason I cannot proceed with rollback flashing. Even after deleting dload folder, downloading fresh file, rebooting the phone. Still stuck on 8%.

Hi
"Rollback" (or downgrade) is the contrary of update. So, when I said "rollback to Android 5" I meant "downgrade from Android 6 to Android 5"
You can't downgrade because you HAVE Android 5, so you have just to BACKUP EVERYTHING (because unlocking bootloader you erase all data) and follow the step-by-step guide I have written above, skipping the "rollback" step :highfive:
Less things to do :good:

That's what I thought as well but I cannot get through the first step witch is rooting by kingroot. I'm just getting an information that kingroot wasn't able to root my device.

Hi
Enable usb debugging inside developer options, then try again until it works (cause it works).
If it still doesn't work, download Kingroot for pc and connect phone to it.
Else, try with other one-click-root tools (as Kingoroot, there is not much imagination for names  )
Done the root, the procedure is much easier.
