Power-on time - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have a Moto G5+ with unlocked bootloader. And when the device is full power-off, for starting it I need to pick the power-on button for a large time... more than 5 seconds, around 10 seconds. This is a lot!
You experienced this too?

Atrix Power On Problem

I have a bell atrix unlocked boot loader, rooted. The problem is when the phone is off, the slightest pressure on the power button turns on the phone. Normally with other phones you have to press and hold the power button for a few seconds before it turns on, this one the slightest push and it boots up! This is very frustrating I was wonder if others have the same issue, if theres a fix?
I have tried over 6 custom roms, and its the same issue. I cant remember if the phone was like this before unlocking the boot loader, as I unlocked it first day.
It's normal for ours phone...

[Q] Verizon Razor M XT907

bootloader is locked
can it be sorted?
@demkantor
Has he tried resetting it? Hold the 'power/lock' and 'volume down' buttons together for about 6 seconds or until the screen goes black. Maybe the phone just had a hiccup during start-up.
Good Luck!

Phone shuts down when the screen goes off

Hi
recently I bought a Xiaomi Mi A1 for my girlfriend, unfortunately she travels a lot so I just powered the device once, applied a couple of actualizations and shutted it down. I didn't tested the phone until she arrived (two weeks later) and we found that the device shuts it self down as soon the screen goes off.
I've been doing some tests and found that:
1 the phone doesn't shuts down immediately as the screen goes off, it takes something like 4 sec to do it
2 the phone shuts down, it is not that the screen freezes or the phone freezes. I can power it up normally,
3 if there is some "action" running in the background (a download, music), the cell phone doesn't shut down,
4 if I press the power button in order to shutdown just the screen, the phone does not shuts down immediately, but after a minute or so it shuts itself down,
I 'm not sure, but I believe that this problems came after the upgrades, the phone came with Android 7.1, and I upgraded to Android 8.1, so I ventured and flash the rom tissot_images_7.12.19_20171219.0000.00_7.1_d39fa89aaf but the problem persisted.
Do you think is a hardware issue?, does anybody has a clue about this behavior?
Should I return the phone?, Btw I bought it on gearbest, so rma might be problematic.
I will appreciate any help you can give me!

Thanks and sorry for my english.
You need to unlock the device bootloader or restore the software using the msmdownload tool.
You need to hold the power button longer. Be patient it will boot.

Yes what he said. First plug it in for a few minutes to get it charged and then hold power button +vol up for at least 20 to 30 seconds. It will turn on you just have to hold button longer

Unlocked Bootloader Warning Skip

Hi all,
I've had my bootloader unlocked since practically my first day with the phone. The phone has always exhibited this behavior, but I've just now decided to try and fix it if I can. Basically, on the warning screen about the bootloader, it says you can hit the power button to pause boot, and then power again to resume boot. My 6T does not allow for this. If I'm extremely quick about it, I can do it, but after a second or so on that screen, it seems to lock up until it continues booting. No buttons do anything. If this happens after I click the power button the first time, but not the second, it hangs for much longer, since I paused the boot but have no way of resuming it. My OnePlus 5 does not do this. At any point while that screen is showing, I can hit the power button twice on it to continue booting. It is just the 6T that freezes like this. Does anybody else experience this, or does anybody have a fix?
Thanks

It speeds up the boot. Regardless, it feels like my 6T takes longer to get past that screen than my 5 did. It seems to be a genuine hang for some reason
I usually let it be, and it will just boot on its own. However, when the Linux kernel does finally load, the whole boot process's usually fast. I wish I could remove or just change the look of the unlocked bootloader warning. I will just pretend it's the OnePlus logo boot splash.

There is nothing you can do to modify the behavior or content of this screen. Nor you can't remove it. It's hardcoded and not accessible from kernel or any software.
Just leave it
As long as i remember, me too unlocked my OP6 from the first day, and i don't remember that pressing one of the buttons really changed anything lol, it never did for me
