Hi - I had bought a Samsung G955FD from Kogan but when I installed Samsung Pay, actually even when I started the phone everything was in Korean. I set the language to English then i could get it to work.
But the problem is Samsung Pay is in Korean and I am missing out on the US Samsung Pay offers.
My Baseband G955FXXU1AQJ1
Any thoughts on how I get this phone to be on the T-mobile USA band or such so I can get Samsung Pay offers available in the US
Thanks!
hoping someone can help me out here

Hi,
I have the Galaxy S4 I9500 version, the snapdragon variant is not available for my region. Google now has launched the Google S4 - which I may be able to get since a friend of mine is coming over from the US. Cost is not an issue since I will sell the I9500 if I go for the Google version - both cost the same for me (we don't have carrier discounted versions in India)
I believe the Snapdragon is a wee bit faster than the octa-core, hopefully the Google edition will be more faster as it is devoid of bloatware.
My questions are:
Since it is a US device - unlike iphone the warranty will not work internationally?
Will the phone be blocked for only US sim-cards or something like that? If I use it in India / Europe and East Asia I am hoping it will work and not need any special code to be entered unlike the carrier locked versions
Anything else I need to be aware of before buying this?
Please respond and thanks in advance for your help - Your inputs will guide my decision in going for the Google version.
I would choose the snapdragon one due to better support, it should be unlocked if its not brought from a mobile carrier,warranty should be international, I'm thinking about one but my nexus4 has been alright so far so I'm going through these threads

1. The warranty would not be there in India. as The Phone has not launched in india thats why.
2. No,It woudl not be blocked for US carriers as the phone is a Non Contarct Based Phoen so you dont even need to unlock it to work in india ( however plz check the Base banmd that it supports and if that baseband works in india it woudl work for sure in india )
3. I personally Think u should not go for it as warranty would not be there. There woudl be ports or rom available for I9500 only.
So, I got my Galaxy S8 a few days ago, from Vodafone Hungary. It does not have Samsung Pay by default, and it isn't available from the Galaxy Apps store either.
I tried sideloading it, to no avail, as it says it's not able to connect.
I understand that Samsung Pay has not launched in Hungary yet, but I do have accounts and supposedly supported cards from both UK and US. Do I really need to switch to a different CSC to make it work? Or even that won't help, and Samsung Pay is geo-locked?
First of all I want to clarify that I am new to this, so I would be very helpful to help me understand this world, I am from Mexico, let's begin.
Good companions I previously had a galaxy s7 model SM-G930T, the device was with the T-mobile company that is from the USA but it was unlocked so I could use it normally in my country, the device had its T-mobile bloatware so that everything normal, well I decided to use samsung pay on that mobile, practically everything worked perfectly, then I sold that phone and bought what I now have that is a galaxy s8 model SM-G950U1 out there I have informed that it is an unlocked mobile from United States with CSC XAA, I find that I can not use samsung pay, when wanting to make a temporary transaction of my card to activate it does not do it, the truth is confusing to me as if I could use sPay with the s7 and now with the s8 No, if both were from the USA, they could help me. :crying:
I am very new in this of Roms of other countries, csc, etc ...
Thanks for your attention.
Hello guys,
I want to buy Galaxy S10+ in UAE for use in India.
Can someone please tell me what features will I get more or less in the device purchased in UAE compared to the one purchased in India?
I will purchase it directly from a retailer, so there won't be any contract with any service provider.
Regards,
Babloo

Each model of the S10 has only 3 variants
U = North American snapdragon
F = Exynos
SD = Chinese snapdragon
Both india and UAE have the Exynos variant, which they are identical, same bands, same layouts, same everything.
As pointed, you will need to flash the indian firmware for any samsung app to work properly, but it is not a complicated process nor does it trigger warranty / knox / etc
Ok. When I got my S8 from UAE I went to Europe for a trip and had to format the phone there with a European simcard... I didnt flash anything and all Samsung worked as if its purchased from Europe. I mean places in the contacts app. The European theme store which supported purchased items and by that time it was only free stuff available in UAE store. Samsung pay worked etc
Are u guys sure he has to flash India software?

The phone is not rooted, and google pay works fine. I was just wondering if there is any way I can get Samsung pay to work instead by changing the csc. Thanks
