Hello guys,
I want to buy Galaxy S10+ in UAE for use in India.
Can someone please tell me what features will I get more or less in the device purchased in UAE compared to the one purchased in India?
I will purchase it directly from a retailer, so there won't be any contract with any service provider.
Regards,
Babloo

Each model of the S10 has only 3 variants
U = North American snapdragon
F = Exynos
SD = Chinese snapdragon
Both india and UAE have the Exynos variant, which they are identical, same bands, same layouts, same everything.
As pointed, you will need to flash the indian firmware for any samsung app to work properly, but it is not a complicated process nor does it trigger warranty / knox / etc
Ok. When I got my S8 from UAE I went to Europe for a trip and had to format the phone there with a European simcard... I didnt flash anything and all Samsung worked as if its purchased from Europe. I mean places in the contacts app. The European theme store which supported purchased items and by that time it was only free stuff available in UAE store. Samsung pay worked etc
Are u guys sure he has to flash India software?

Hi,
I have the Galaxy S4 I9500 version, the snapdragon variant is not available for my region. Google now has launched the Google S4 - which I may be able to get since a friend of mine is coming over from the US. Cost is not an issue since I will sell the I9500 if I go for the Google version - both cost the same for me (we don't have carrier discounted versions in India)
I believe the Snapdragon is a wee bit faster than the octa-core, hopefully the Google edition will be more faster as it is devoid of bloatware.
My questions are:
Since it is a US device - unlike iphone the warranty will not work internationally?
Will the phone be blocked for only US sim-cards or something like that? If I use it in India / Europe and East Asia I am hoping it will work and not need any special code to be entered unlike the carrier locked versions
Anything else I need to be aware of before buying this?
Please respond and thanks in advance for your help - Your inputs will guide my decision in going for the Google version.
I would choose the snapdragon one due to better support, it should be unlocked if its not brought from a mobile carrier, warranty should be international, I'm thinking about one but my nexus4 has been alright so far so I'm going through these threads

1. The warranty would not be there in India. as The Phone has not launched in india thats why.
2. No,It woudl not be blocked for US carriers as the phone is a Non Contarct Based Phoen so you dont even need to unlock it to work in india ( however plz check the Base banmd that it supports and if that baseband works in india it woudl work for sure in india )
3. I personally Think u should not go for it as warranty would not be there. There woudl be ports or rom available for I9500 only.
Hello All,
I will appreciate if someone can help.
We have purchased Note 3 N9005 LTE from Saudi Arabia on 9th January and I have switched it on for the first time in India using Indian SIM card. Now it is asking for SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN.
I am aware that this is regional locked. But I am trying to find a solution. I already tried to purchase unlocking codes but seems there are no codes providers for phones purchased from Saudi Arabia region.
I am also aware of regional lock App, but it will void the warranty.
I wanted to ask will Samsung India or Samsung Saudi Arabia help us in this case? Did anyone experiencing the same problem found a solution without voiding the warranty?
I made a phone call to Samsung India and they said if I register it in India then there is a possibility that it may get functional, but I am not sure.
I request someone to help.
Thanks,
Did you find a solution?

RegionLock Away only works with older firmwares afaik. You`re best bet is to activate it through Samsung. Register your device in India and if that doesn`t work contact Samsung again for more support.

How do I register my device in India?
Which Samsung should I contact? Samsung India or Samsung Arabia? And how do I get it activated?
The phone is currently in India.

Register the phone on the Indian Samsung site http://www.samsung.com/in/#undefined and choose Product Registration http://cybersvc2.samsungcsportal.co...n01.jsp?locale_id=in_en&ssoUseYn=N&ssoLang=en and contact Samsung India later for more activation support if needed.
Solution
Hello,
I managed to unlock my Note 3, however I sent it back to Saudi Arabia and they have unlocked it in their service center. I was charged 200 Riyals approximately 3200 rupees. However I heard software solutions are now supporting MJ7 as well? But I am not sure.
i have the simple solution
i have the simple solution, ........just email samsung "contact us" from the country of purchase
i bought a note 4 from saudi in jan 2015 , but indian sim do not work, ....in the box there is a pamphlet which says to unlock i must call (in/out) for 5 minutes...but i dont have a arabian sim, i contacted some local phone shops , they asked rs 3000 to unlock, i did not want to spend more money on a legaly bought phone...so i called samsung india, they said i have to contact saudi samsung, so i emailed samsung saudi, email is in arabic, but we can type in english....they repied with an email asking for model, imei, bill photo,...i sent it and they replied with the unlock codes ...and it worked
Hi,
I'm interested in buying a A3 (2017) phone.
The model sold in my country (France and rest of Europe) is the a320f, however I may go to Canada next year and I want a device compatible with LTE bands from Europe and Canada. The model a320y sold in Asia and Australia is the same as a320f, except it supports a few more bands (not less), including the ones I need for Canada.
Did one of you manage to buy a different model from a shop? Do you think some shops will be able to ask Samsung to send them a different model? Otherwise, did one of you succeed in importing from other region, for not too expensive, and where did you buy it? I would like to think of importing as a last solution since there will be double tax + shipping costs…
Thanks in advance,
Galaxy A320Y 2017 dual sim

Unfortunately, this website only ships within the USA.
Plus, 400 USD + shipping + border taxes is high, considering it costs 330€ in France
Is there any place to buy the A320Y? When I contacted them, welectronics said they are selling the A320F. Only markets I have come across selling A320Y so far are Chile, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand and New Zealand. I haven't found a source to get one in the US though. I really wanted this phone for its size but if I am not able to get the A320Y I may just go for the S7 after the S8 is released.
*Also don´t forget that sometimes the Data Bands change depending in the carrier!*
A320YD
Hi to All,
I too am trying to get the famous A320Y model. It is obviously better, not only in Canada but in France too because one of the major operators, Free, is developing the LTE 4G band 28(700) which is not on the A320F models.
I contacted Samsung in France and they simply said that only the A320F is available in France and that it would not be possible to get the A320Y.
I have seen some A320Y models on sale in NZ but not in Australia. They seem to be available in Vietnam but I don't speak Vietnamese and I suspect it would be difficult to buy them without some knowledge.
The 320Y I saw on NZ sites was not the dual sim model that I want.
Any more information on this would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that was advertised for sale with the UK's SM-G935FZDABTU model number.
During the initial set-up of the phone I was invited to logon to my Samsung account, which I did.
When I later visited the Samsung website, I found the phone I had been sold had the model number SM-G935FEDAATO instead of the standard UK one.
I've been unable to find the specifications of the phone I have other than the fact that it is available in several European countries, particularly - if Google search results are anything to go by - in Austria.
I got the phone for a good price and want to keep it if I can. On the other hand, I would like to know what comprises I'll be making if I do so.
Can anyone give me an idea of what the differences between the UK and EU versions of the S7 Edge are likely to be?
Thanks for reading this
John Latter
There shouldnt be any differences between all eu models. Mine is bought in Germany and is running UK BTU firmware. If it runs exynos proc. Then its eu model because snapdragon is for usa only as im aware.
First of all I want to clarify that I am new to this, so I would be very helpful to help me understand this world, I am from Mexico, let's begin.
Good companions I previously had a galaxy s7 model SM-G930T, the device was with the T-mobile company that is from the USA but it was unlocked so I could use it normally in my country, the device had its T-mobile bloatware so that everything normal, well I decided to use samsung pay on that mobile, practically everything worked perfectly, then I sold that phone and bought what I now have that is a galaxy s8 model SM-G950U1 out there I have informed that it is an unlocked mobile from United States with CSC XAA, I find that I can not use samsung pay, when wanting to make a temporary transaction of my card to activate it does not do it, the truth is confusing to me as if I could use sPay with the s7 and now with the s8 No, if both were from the USA, they could help me. :crying:
I am very new in this of Roms of other countries, csc, etc ...
Thanks for your attention.
