Thank you everybody in advance for the help you may provide.
Please could you help me to understand if i can fix my scl23?
This is the thing.
I got myself a KDI au gs5 scl23 with kitkat 4.4 and as i understand its rooted with a custon recovery, beacaus of the sim unlock, and the recovery its in japanese.
The phone works fine, but when i try to use it on ultra saving mode, its says that it`s samsung account isnt activated and doesnt allow me to change it(in the settings of the phone there isnt a way to change samsung account). So it bugs on that samsung account, and doesnt allow me to use internet and the keyboard when im on the ultra saving mode. By the way i live in Argentina and cant find anyone who speaks Japanese.
So, Trying to fix this samsung account problem i upgraded to lollipop 5.0, but it lock the phone and it doesnt get any antena signal, its says insert a sim, but there is no "no sim" mesage on the mesage board.
And now im dowloading the 4.4 firmaware files to downgrade it to 4.4 and to unlock it whith service menu commands.
Have anyone been able to unlock it with service menu on lollipop, or in any other way? Beacuase lollipop fixes the samsung account problem but olso locks the phone and installs custom AU rom, only in japanese or english laguage.
Thank you very much to everyone.
same here
This is the same thing that happened to me, did you manage to revert back and unlock the simlock on 5.0? Any luck upgrading to 5.0 and using your sim with the device.
cheers

Ended up downloading the 4.4 rom for phone again, installing that. Had to clear cache and do factory data clear to get phone booting again after downgrading. Then I was able to complete the Sim Unlock steps outlined here

Super frustrating using a phone like this, as it has so much bloatware from Japan which I just want to get rid of. But up and running now, with several replacement mods for keyboard, messenger etc
A lot of information out there, thank you internet and forums like this one for having so much information to get things working again. :victory:
Hello. I bought a S5 from Ebay for Boost Mobile. Problem is that it has the Samsung Activation Lock still on. Ive done the searches all over the net and have come across URL="/watch?v=EaN13PiQbe0 ====Video"]/watch?v=EaN13PiQbe0 ====Video. I understand most of it but I can't find a workaround for the "findmymobile.samsung.com" part. Is there a way to do it on a S5. Don't Chastise Me. Im Not Nixon. I am not a crook. I paid for a phone with a clean ESN(I checked) and dont want to be stuck with a paperweight. Thanks in advance.
Searching for the S5 tutorial would have been better than the S6 ones lol

And flashing a KitKat ROM from sammobile first with ODIN works if you know the samsung account (If you locked yourself out of your own phone) for future reference
Sorry

I traded someone for this G5 and it's factory reset locked. I've looked for a way to bypass it with no luck at all. Every one has been patched. If anyone could help me out I would owe you big time. I don't know much about phones but I catch on quick. Someone please help!
you need to contact the guy you got the phone from and get his account entered
as far as I know LG G5 is not FRP bypassed and also most if not all the bypasses that used to work, are now patched

Search "bypass galaxy s7 frp" and get an idea on what to do, it works almost the same way but you need to find a pre July kdz firmware so you can start chrome from the welcome screen and download the frp bypass app

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. To solve the problem I flashed stock firmware, applied root using ODIN, and patch IMEI and certificates using Z3X Box. According to the guy who helped me with the Z3X, there's no way you can make the phone work again without patching IMEI and cert. When fixed, you won't be able to update nor factory reset the phone. If you do so, you'll have the same problem again. It's a matter of KNOX security on the S7 Edge.

Hi Zeth...!
Can you explain why this happens and how to do the job in Z3X ?
I think I need at least version 24.8 (suppport for S7)... can you point where I can get it with no-card loader ? (I was unable to get it).
Thanks...!
Javier.
Well, as far as I know this issue happens because of the new security features on the phone. It has to do with the certificate written on the phone. Once you change it, it triggers an "alert" that is impossible to turn off, unless you patch it again. Unfortunately, according to some flashing sites, it can't be done over Nougat, hence your phone will remain on Marshmallow until a new method is found. I didn't do the flashing with Z3X. I payed a guy to make the process. I've been looking for a card-less Z3X but I only found an older version which doesn't support S7.

Unfortunately there is no solution to this issue yet but if you stay on 6.0.1 you can just use a cert patch and it works 100%, for android 7.0 we must just wait for an update from z3x

Hi. I purchased a preowned Samsung Galaxy S8 and I am not able to get it running. The phone has factory reset protection and it asks me for owners google account. The seller does not want to provide me with that info because of privacy issues. He said that he deactivated that option through google account, but it did not help. I've tried all the methods that I found on YouTube and through google but none of them seem to work. - the "two finger" method turns on voice assistance but does not enter Tapatalk menu
- the setting method does not work wither because I do not have the "help & feedback" menu
- others like installing SideSync on PC and connecting phone through usb, nor any other that I found online did work
I also tried to call Samsung support but they are asking $70 for unlocking and I would need a proof of purchase with IMEI address, but the seller did not include IMEI, anyways its to expensive.
I went to some phone repair stores but they were asking from proof of purchase from Samsung authorized store, they did not accept eBay...
It's an unlocked T-Mobile version Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950U running android 8.0.0.
This is whats the Android Recovery menu showing - 8.0.0/R16NW/G950USQU5CRK1
Is there any new/working way to unlock this brick?

have the previous owner call google. they can track the IMEI and verify the previous owners credentials allowing them to release the FRP lock and making you the full complete owner now

discussing FRP unlock methods outside of googles prescribed methods are against XDA rules. Please refrain from discussing things of that nature.
