I Need Help: Need to Bypass Samsung Activation Lock - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I bought a S5 from Ebay for Boost Mobile. Problem is that it has the Samsung Activation Lock still on. Ive done the searches all over the net and have come across URL="/watch?v=EaN13PiQbe0 ====Video"]/watch?v=EaN13PiQbe0 ====Video. I understand most of it but I can't find a workaround for the "findmymobile.samsung.com" part. Is there a way to do it on a S5. Don't Chastise Me. Im Not Nixon. I am not a crook. I paid for a phone with a clean ESN(I checked) and dont want to be stuck with a paperweight. Thanks in advance.

Searching for the S5 tutorial would have been better than the S6 ones lol

And flashing a KitKat ROM from sammobile first with ODIN works if you know the samsung account (If you locked yourself out of your own phone) for future reference

Sorry

S5 tmobile g900t - build FOJ4 Help!

Ok lets prefacethis with the fact that im a very new user to the whole andriod rooting community. so il need someone to talk slow and show me the way.
Alright i recently bought an unlocked tmobile g900t build foj4 (edit* its also running 5.1. lollipop) which im am using on the rogers network in canada. ive just started to play around and try and get my phone rooted as i like the thought of it

I have questions about Samsung Galaxy J series, specifically the J3 Virgin Mobile

I have a few questions for anyone familiar with the Samsung Galaxy J series, specifically the J3. I have virgin mobile, and after a long time suffering with their HTC Desire 510, I want to upgrade, and not wanting to spend $400 on a galaxy S5 , the J3 seems the next best phone to get. However, as I've grown used to having a rooted phone and customizing my phone as much as I want, etc, I want to make sure my next phone can be rooted, and has support for custom ROM's, etc.
The main thing that could help me with my decision would be some guidance as to whether other versions, the J2, J5, J7, etc, that are present here would be potentially compatible with the J3, or if I'm out of luck and should consider other options if rooting is a necessity for me.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Anyone?
I'm sure you can root it.
I'm using j5 and it took me like 15 minutes of reading and about an hour /including downloading and setting up all the things /for the root.
I just want to say that you would need to be prepared to wait until someone make a custom Rom for it.

Thats what I was thinking. I figure that rooting it (hopefully) is similar to the other J series. As long as its rooted, wouldn't I be able to (even w/o custom rom) debloat/customize/etc it with various root tools, apps2sd, etc? Or are those dependent on having a custom rom? On the only phone I've rooted so far (htc desire 510) I didn't really spend any time with stock rom when I rooted, instead immediately flashing Nonsense rom, so I'm not sure what limitations keeping stock rom comes with when rooted.
Thank you for the reply! It gives me a bit of hope at least.
I'm not really familiar with the device. As I said before I have a j5. According to the applications that you mentioned I think that it would be possible to get and install them. But rooting isn't quantum mechanics. There are some apps that you could easily install on almost any device and get the root privileges. For example kingroot I am sure you can find others. I usually root my devices trough pc.I recommend you to take some time before jumping on the first option that comes up as a possible solution.
According to changing the stock Rom. I don't known how developed is that treat so.. Again read here and there about it.
GL!
Let me know if I helped by hitting the thumb up
I dont think permanent root is going to be possible until a working twrp is made so that you can flash supersu. I know that sux, I wanted to get one for my wife because she broke the screen on her vm s3. But without root and the ability to get unlimited hotspot... nope. I asked a dev ( lrs121) if he would port twrp to it. He said he would try if I had the phone and could get him the necessary files from it. Look in the sprint s3 section under twrp for virgin and boost s3. He is a great dev.
Actually far as I can say there are 2 twrp options. you just have to read more

Read where? Could you be a little more vague?
I am by no means a noob, and when I answer someone, I generally throw in a link.
But thanks for letting me know it exists.
Is it another phones twrp that works? Any hints at all?

Sorry i was on the phone while traveling. I`ve mistaken that it was about the j5 ( like mine device) and for that especially i had tried 2 working options up to now for twrp. but i`m pretty sure you can find tutorials or you can even simply DL the twrp /for example/ 3 install it as an apk and than you if it stuck just would need to DL odin for your PC and than strictly follow the steps / install /unzip odin, connect device , go into DL mode and flash it with the stock ROM which you can find in sammobile /.com i guess/ ?
GL and hit thanks if i helped!

Completely new to android system

Hi guys ,
I have recently brought a Samsung s7 edge on EE in the UK, I did but the phone second hand but appears to be working correctly to start .
The phone will not find any software updates or play pokemon go for my son and Samsung knox is also tripped out , says the software has been modified in a unauthorised way, I went to samsung and they said it has been rooted and void of warranty so all I can do is Give them £250 for a new motherboard for the phone.
I followed some instructions by downloading a terminal client and it's not showing me as having super user status on the device ,
.I've had I phones since day one and was loving the freedom of android but I really do find myself out of my league as I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff . I'm looking to either flash the phone back to its factory state or have the phone rooted properly to allow me to update etc
I'm very apprehensive about attempting this myself and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a idiots guide on how to or specialist on here who would do it for payment if I were to meet them somewhere with their laptop
I have tried Google searching but nothing much seems to make sense , thanks in advance
You want to flash a stock firmware. Get everything working OK first. Try "Updato" for fast firmware downloads. Try a "BTU" firmware. Download Samsung phone drivers and Odin. YouTube Odin very simple to use. Should restore your phone. Then look into rooting.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
The phone is modified in a way that it was rooted before, but prior to selling, the vendor unrooted it. Pokemon Go will not work on a rooted device.
First thing is to find the exact build of the phone (under software info in the about section of settings), then look for the corresponding firmware. Trustworthy sources is this forum and sammobile (I usually get my firmware files here). Samsung PC drivers can be found on the internet. Officially they are installed on the PC when you install Samsung SmartSwitch (Samsung's PC Backup and Updating software). Then download Odin. You will use that to flash the stock firmware back onto your phone.

you need to unroot and Relock the Bootloader
OTA updates doesn't work on some phones with unlock bootloader

The UK S7 Edge, which is the Exynos variant (G935F) doesn't have bootloader restrictions in that form, thus there is nothing to "relock".

Why do you link to an article on a questionable site, named exactly what I'd imagine a phishing, scammer website would call it to someone completely new to Android!? Seriously, stop linking to these weird a** pages. These pages only exist to generate traffic. They're not even ran by real people. The same exact text on that website is on five other websites, copied and pasted. This is not productive. New users need assistance that's going to help them in the long term. They have to understand the process.
@Elliottsdaddy You want your device restored to its original state. Unrooted. The process of unrooting by flashing a stock firmware is fairly complicated for a newbie and requires you to extensively read and comprehend the tutorial/process. Seriously. There is a lot that can go wrong. I'm gonna ask you to follow the link below. It's a tutorial, posted on XDA by one of our senior members @henklbr. If you have questions, first use the search function and see if your question has already been answered by someone. If not, feel free to ask and give enough detail so people can help you appropriately.

Removing Google FRP lock on Sprint Galaxy S7 - SM-G30PVPS5BRA1 ?

Hello Guys!,
Boy oh boy well to make this short and sweet and to the point. I am basically a newbie when it comes to flashing and loading custom ROM's on phones, but been in the IT world for some 22 yrs, and know my way around computer systems, and networks, but with so many different people's posts, tricks, and fake procedures, I just need to know from a Senior member if at this point with the firmware I currently have, or reverting somehow to an earlier version to successfully remove the FRP from one of my Samsung collection? Just cutting to the chase, Your site as awesome and I have learned alot and been successful at fixing up my old Samsung S3 to a custom ROM by Team OctOS with the kind help of madbat99. An S3 running 7.1.2 and rooted with that custom ROM, Wow! what a difference. I think I have an S6 or 7 in my hands!..lol.
But Anyone with some valid information on this tried and true fix so I can work on getting this S7 by that FRP lock and rooted and loaded with something custom I surely would appreciate it, Thanks a million in advance! And i will attach some screenshots so you know what I'm dealing with.
Have a Great Memorial Weekend!!
ps, sorry screenshots i cannot attach i don't have them uploaded anywhere, but here is basically what I have:
Sprint S7 - SM-G930P
7.0/NRD90M/G930PVPS5BRA1
AP SWREV: B5 (2.1.1.1.1) K1 S4
Same here!!

So I've the same phone, firmware, and issue as yours my friend. I can't give a solution unfortunately, as I've been attempting to side step FRP on my girlfriends G930P with the BRA1 firmware as well. From what Ive read downgrading is our best bet, but I've no idea how to do so with this particular firmware. Most of my attempts have ended with bootloops or bricks.
Best of luck to ya, I'll be subbing your thread.

I first want to say this was not done for illegal purposes whatsoever nor do I agree with that crap. With that being said my mother forgot her password and username and didn't realize the importance paying attention to her back up password or username to recover her first one. Anyway the model is SM-G930P what the bootloader level 6 from the update that just recently occurred. BRD2 I believe. Anyway, I have to go to work soon but I just was able to bypass it and get her back into her phone very quickly and easily and I didn't know of anyone had post it on here yet so I wanted to do it quickly I can give him better tutorial after work.
How to do it:
Put your S7 in download mode with power home button and volume down. Google Flash Galaxy S7 SM-G930P s boot file. It will send you to a sm-g930f file don't worry it still works and is the one I used. So download that file its S7 g930f_king$ that's what shows up on my computer after I download it. Anyway open up Odin 3.12 Princecosmy and Flash that as boot file or image file under your bootloader or BL section of Odin and let it do anything quickly and it will pass and reboot. And when it boots back up to your surprise I'm sure because it was mine also it was able to connect and find ADB so I was able to run my GSM flasher FRP reactivation lock remover Pro and as long as you're Samsung drivers are installed it will pick it up on its port number. Click on the bypass FRP tab which is the one on the right of the two go down and click bypass FRP and boom you're done. So in conclusion get to export file from Kingsfirmware.com and search flash galaxy s7 sm-g930p and it will take you to sm-g930f flash. Download the sboot file s7 g930f_king$. Flash it via Odin under BL tab. Let it pass and reboot the run GSM Flasher YEP Reactivation Lock Remover Pro and under the Bypass FRP tab click Bypass FRP towards bottom and kick back!! Boom done. Buy me a beer my PayPal is [email protected]
This will also root your phone
it's my pleasure to help you, i can fix this problem if you still have it

Problems rooting N900V with ArabicTool

I attempted rooting both OB6 and OF1 for the VZW note 3 with ArabicTool, however in both cases the app gets to "rooting last step. please wait", sits on the initial boot screen for a few minutes, and then goes into a permanent boot loop of restarting, sitting on the boot logo, and then going into recovery. This happens until I reflash whatever firmware I was on for the attempt in Odin, in which case everything is fine until I attempt to root with the program again. Is there anything I can do to get this to work? I'd be quite happy to be able to get my phone up to more recent versions of Android, but it seems that I might be completely stuck. If there's any additional info I can provide let me know, and I'll do my best to dig it up.

I would, if not for the fact that it's been on life support for years, and I imagine that most leftover VZW users are checking this forum, considering that pretty much all of them have their devices unlocked and have no reason to go back there.
Yes but this forum does not deal with Note 3 Verizon model .
Never heard of your Arabic rooting tool as its not on here .
Root on this forum is either supersu or Magisk .
Do they work on your phone not a clue , thats why i said the Note 3 verizon forum .

It's one of the only tools that can initially root the N900V, after that & bootloader unlock it works fine with Magisk and all the other commonly used things. I did already ask for assistance on the guide I followed for rooting, but that section is pretty much only tumbleweeds at this point, so I'm not expecting any answer.
