I was already debating taking my Galaxy S2 back because of the pink/yellow tinge camera issue. Now I've discovered a new issue. The earpiece is continually buzzing during phone calls. This is worse if the volume is turned up to maximum. I've had many phones down the years, but this is the first that I've experienced earpiece buzzing.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is this just a one off bad phone?
Thanks
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks

Nope, not at all. No yellow tint. Only batterylife which is not Samsung's fault. Guess I'm lucky.

Thanks for the reply.
I've had many phones down the years, but never experienced earpiece "buzzing" before. It's really annoying! I did a search on the web and it seems to be a very common experience with all makes of mobiles. I suppose you can just get a slight duff one!
I contact the T-Mobile UK Support Twitter page about returning it (it's just under 2 weeks old) and they said I had to send it away to get repaired. That's bull**** surely. I though you had 28 days from new to get a handset swapped????? Isn't that UK law.
I get the impression on the net that sometimes stores lie about this so they don't have to give you a new handset.
Anyone clarify this?
Thanks
I'm having the same problem. Went to the service centre, the technician insists that this is normal as long as the speaker is not blown. Sucks lol.
I guess I'll live with it for awhile until I can't take it any longer then I'll have them replace the ear speaker.
Sometimes I get this buzzing noise via Bluetooth headphones only when I'm on a telephone call. But it rare.

redbullman, did you manage to fix it?
ok I got back my phone (SGS2 international version) from Samsung Service Centre, after a second persuasion they changed the front panel (whole LCD including the front speaker, not sure if the back speaker too, I don't know the structure of the phone).
And now, it's solved!! NO MORE BUZZING when making/receiving calls!
Definitely go ask for an exchange or a change of your panel guys! It's a HARDWARE ISSUE.
speaker sound was working fine until i flashed a certain rom.
i got headphone audio, and vibrate, but no external speaker sound.
could it be a coincidence? time to replace the speaker module?
any other options i have? i bought this phone when it was released, i dont have a replacement plan option, nor the money to get it repaired by a tech.
ive got experience with phone repairs and taking apart/putting back together phones so a hardware repair shouldnt be a problem.. but i would like that to be a last resort.
any ideas?
thanks

Have you tried flashing a different rom?

You don't have 35 dollars to have a sprint repair store fix your speakerphone?

Hi all,
I've got myself N7 II and I love it... Only issue I have is an horrible sound coming from my top/left speaker and it gets worse as I ramp up the volume. It sounds just like speaker is loose and/or it has some thin foil covering it.
I've been able to find some fixes for the problem but only for 1st gen N7 devices so I really have no idea how to fix this and I don't really want to return it to the seller...
Can any help?
Tnx in advance

All nexus 7s have this issue... I don't fully understand why, but I believe it is the speaker codec or something, you don't hear it after a while, it drove me nuts to begin with! So I would advise you to stick with your n7 =)
I never had that issue with mine...
I've gave my N7 to service since it's under warranty... Let the support worry about it...
Tnx guys

anyone else with the same problem? how to fix it?
warranty is only for 6 months for headphones that sucks
You could rewire them but it's probably not worth it..

Yeah need to buy new headphones.
It also happened to my galaxy s4 headphones they stop working after few days.
I was using the speaker phone tonight and noticed it getting increasingly distorted to the point where I had to turn it off. After the call I tested some music and it is so bad you cannot even tell what song is playing! On top of that it randomly just emits a static sound for a few seconds whenever it feels like.
Looks like I'll be calling t-mo in the morning for a replacement, this makes my 2nd defective phone (first one was a different issue) anyone else experiencing something similar?
I just swapped mine 2 weeks ago for the same issue.

This is turning into a common issue. My first V20 lasted me 35 days before my speaker went out. I am on my second one and its good so far.
Seems like this phone is super fragile. Kinda scary to think how much we paid for it.
Luckily I haven't had many issues besides some subpar cell service compared to other att phones I've had in the same area. But I don't want to jinx it.
Edit: Then again, if you're putting all these audio mods that make the phone go beyond what it is meant to do, you are still somewhat at fault there.
There is a very long thread for this issue in the questions and answers section. Just FYI for more reading.
I found that thread after I made mine, too many people with the same issue. Anyway I just got my warranty replacement from t-mobile, their new process Sucks by the way. New phone seems good so far but we will see if the issue comes back.

No mods here. I'm straight up stock. Most complaints are coming just days after buying the phone, not enough time to root for most people.
