S7 edge battery replacement UK - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have not treated my battery well since purchased in January, maybe I'm being paranoid but I would like to get the battery replaced.
Has anyone had any experience with any Samsung repair centres in the UK with replacement? How much do they charge? (I've voiced warranty by rooting since day 1 lol). Do Samsung seal the phone for water resistance?

It might be expensive to send your phone to a Samsung repair center for a battery replacement.
I would suggest you look for a local repair shop and ask them to replace your battery in front of you so you can monitor them.

I had mine done for £25 at a local shop. Looks a pain to do

Samsung repair returned phone damaged

Be careful sending your phones in to Samsung for repair. I sent my Galaxy S III in for repair. The repair was supposed to take 5 days but instead took 21 business days. When I got the phone back the water damage sticker was activated. The phone was in a zip lock bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, and put in a UPS shipping bag that was in a box. The phone was water damaged at the Samsung repair facility in Texas. Now Samsung wants me to return the phone to them and they expect it to take a week to get it back. How can a phone leave their repair facility water damaged after taking 16 days longer to repair. Samsung repair support is terrible and I will never buy another Samsung phone again.

AT&T Warranty Replacement

My S4 is still under its warranty period. Though I cracked the glass a few months ago. The digitizer was unharmed so I opted to order a glass only replacement and fix it myself. There are plenty of videos that demo the removal of the glass from the glass with a hair dryer etc.
I recently went into an AT&T warranty center about an unrelated issue and they agreed to provide a replacement device. The store rep indicated they were currently out of stock my my model but offered to have one ordered and sent directly to me. I would then need to send my device back in a package provided by AT&T.
Its important to note that I did not discuss or disclose the fact that I replaced the glass on the device myself with the store rep. My concern is based on the policy of returning your device to the warranty center through the mail. You are agreeing to purchasing the replacement refurbished device at full price ($579) if your returned device is deemed to have physical damage once they receive it back from you.
Has anyone had luck with a similar scenario?
Thanks
You can send it in. I have done so many warranty replacements with AT&T. On my S4 I had a small chip on the top corner where you can hardly put your nail inside the chip. They where treating me that they will possibly charge me for the full retail price of the phone. If the rep agreed to change the device for you, then no matter if you mail the device in they won't charge you because they inspected the device already right then. If the rep saw a cracked screen or physical damage they will deny it or charge you. There is no way they can find out you changed the screen due to you can always say Samsung fixed it for you but then again they won't question you since they won't take the glass apart and check if you swapped it out.

Canadian here, I got a defective international s7 Edge. Need help/advice

I got a broken s7 edge with a defective LCD screen from a friend. There are no visible cracks/drops on the phone and the buttons seem to light up with sounds etc.
I walked into the Canadian Samsung official repair store (not authorized ones) and they said they don't service International phones and I should call 1800-SAMSUNG and should be getting a replacement since it is defective.
I called them after and they said international version is not covered at all in Canada. I asked if where I can ship it to them, they said it doesn't matter.
Is there anything I can do to repair this phone with Samsung or get it replaced?

Instead getting you to run circles or jump hoops
I will be honest with you and tell you that there
is no way to get samsung to repair or to replace
your phone.
You need to go to an authorized samsung repair
shop locally or an online samsung repair service
and pay to have them repair your phone.
If I were you I would start googling to find one
if I wanted to keep and use the phone. LOL
Good luck,
Have a great day
thanks

Thank you for replying. How much would this be to repair the screen? Since a new phone is around $1000 CAD i am not sure if it is worth it do pay for the repair
I live in Canada and have a Canadian version. Just to order a screen assembly is $300 CAD or more. You are probably looking at a $400 or $500 repair. Look around but I think that is pretty average. Also, you might not want to test the water resistance after the repair. Forging in how much you paid you might want to try and get a couple hundred out of it on Kijiji and put that towards a new phone.
You're better off ordering the parts online and fixing it yourself or going to a repair shop

Glass shattered from overheating, questions?

So basically I have a phone that is not even 6 months old, has always been in a case, and never been dropped. The glass has cracked on the back, pretty severely, but on the front, only one small place. Samsung said to send it in, but there were no guarantees that any servicing would be done for free. I did not purchase the $120 warranty direct from them. I went ahead and ordered a replacement from asurion for $199. I will probably add the 120 samsung service even though it has a 30 day waiting period, or sell the phone. It is a really great phone, and works very well with my gear s2 classic.
I just wish these phones did not have to be made out of these crazy materials that are so fragile. I did not leave my phone plugged in overnight under a pillow or anything either. Any ideas on what to do? I am hoping that samsung will reimburse my deductible cost because I cannot wait for the turnaround time. I was tempted to get a new moto g5 temporarily and just send in the cracked s7 edge just to see what samsung says. But all the repair places wanted $400, and samsung has been known to charge about half that to repair the glass if the digitizer is not damaged.
What would you guys do if you were me? I will probably just keep the phone. Although I could not believe the awesome special the lg g6 has running where you get a 43" tv and a google home speaker! that is awesome!

I would personally just send it to samsung for repair. cost me $269.07 back in august for a new screen and they even put a new back on it.
As for the G6 it all depends on if you trust LG/ are lucky enough to get a unit that doesn't start boot looping like LG is famous for.

I am a volunteer driver. I was driving the bus from Hope BC to Chilliwack BC on Hwy #1 (freeway) with 10 passengers. While driving at 110 km i had my phone in my shirt pocket. Suddenly i felt a lot of heat coming from my phone. I reached into my pocket and found the heat from my phone to be so excessive i had to remove the phone and toss it into a cubby hole in the dash on the bus. I was concern do to the amount of heat that the heat the phone would burst into flames. I took the phone to Superstore to take it to where i bought it. Once there the service person put the phone on a charger to see if we could start the phone. He noted that the phone was extreamly over heated and said he would send it in for repair. The phone was in a protective casing and upon removing the case he found that covering for the camera was broken . Now i had to remove the phone from my procession for the saftey of my riders and for my own saftey. Now had this phone flared into flames i could have have a very serious crash with several injuries. Now i received a call from my sales reprocenitive stating that my warrantee was cancelled due to the camera cover which might cost .10 cents. I am paying over $900.00 for this phone and have paid for extended warrantee which LG is now saying they will not cover as well. The lying i have heard from LG service reps is unreal. These phones do over heat and the camera lens after looking at it closely shattered because of the over heating. I have never seen such garbage service from any company as i have with LG

Samsung Galaxy S8 Screen Replacement

Hello,
I have managed to be an idiot once again and break the screen on my S8, it's cracked and doesn't respond to touch.
I need it replaced and I am considering all options.
I am thinking of buying a replacement screen together with a precision tool kit and doing the repair myself by following some videos on youtube.
Getting it repaired by a professional may be more trouble then it's worth.
Has anyone replaced the screen on this phone? I am looking for any tips or wise words. Is there a forum I can ask more detailed questions about the repair?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have replaced in official service center for 280$ including service and new frame and after replacement it's still watter resistent i tested in pool
Thats why you get insurance when you buy a delicate phone like S8. I broke screen of my S8+ but thankfully had the insurance. Repair centre gave an estimate of 235$ but due to insurance i paid just 10$
There was no insurance in my country
I should have at least had a protective case on the phone. What can I say I was a bit of an idiot.
I am particularly worried about putting it together myself, mainly applying the adhesive correctly. I would really like the phone to stay water resistant.
FROM our China. to insurance i paid just 9$
It's really cheap.
