A few VNS-L21 Nougat firmware finder questions.

I am using the P9 Lite VNS-L21 version (B160). I don't know much about rooting and flashing and all that, but i would like to ask if it is safe to install the b336 version on my phone? Will i be able to normaly update to the official version of Nougat after it comes out? Do i need to be rooted for firmware finder to work?

You should wait for OTA. Is a complicated process and it doesn t worth. Nougat has some really battery drain. In my opinion you should wait for official OTA. But if you want to risk...it s your problem.

after u successfully rebranding, if you go to update app (for updating phone ), if the actual update size of emui 5.0 is 2.2.GB it shows only one zip size (1.3GB) this results to NSD test keys update emui 5.0..
I skipped this issue by Downloading the same Firmware from Official size (HERE IT IS ) and Copied the update.app to sd card "Dload"Then press three button process and update .. Done.....then the update app works perfect me for updating emui 5.0.

Rebranding is not for the one who loves their phone.
For example:
I had a L04 and am in india, if i wants to use jio with volte. Then i need Indian firmware . So for that i rebranded my phone , the same way it reflects for the needy.

Should be on the beta rom the to start.
Then install this same way except with Oreo no-check recovery instead of the nougat one.
I expect someone will have a good guide out soon.

There is not Oreo in that link. All small previous OTA's
instead use Huawei firmware finder app from playstore.

[Q] Best way to upgrade to Oreo

My build number is WAS-LX3C605B186 EMUI 5.1. I want to update to Oreo and firmware finder has a PV update available among others but now I'm reading that firmware finder stopped working is this true? If so what is the most accepted method for upgrading? I'm still not getting the update through the official channels and I'd like to speed things up.
I think u have some minor update to B187 (as i had) then u can c ur emui 8 full update in system update

U need stock recovery partition(not twrp) so after minor update may not lose ur root but i lost my root after full update to emui 8 and bootloader locked again.
