after u successfully rebranding, if you go to update app (for updating phone ), if the actual update size of emui 5.0 is 2.2.GB it shows only one zip size (1.3GB) this results to NSD test keys update emui 5.0..
I skipped this issue by Downloading the same Firmware from Official size (HERE IT IS ) and Copied the update.app to sd card "Dload"Then press three button process and update .. Done.....then the update app works perfect me for updating emui 5.0.

For example:
I had a L04 and am in india, if i wants to use jio with volte. Then i need Indian firmware . So for that i rebranded my phone , the same way it reflects for the needy.

Its through firmware finder.
I'm trying to have a php crawler to improve my knowledge. So I was using http://update.hicloud.com:8180 as my Base URL.
To check my program code and bugs, I would always cross check with the Firmware Finder. During which I would find some updates which belongs to Indian Version of Honor 5X, 5C and 8. Eventually I will post it here for the people who asks for updates.

Due to Vardah cyclone, there was a infrastructural damages here which unconnected me from world for past 1 week. Just now got my signal restored. So I was checking the past 1 week updated in the hicloud.
Seems that this update was available in their server from 15th. I thought that some people would have got updated already.
Seems that there will be a rollback package released soon to downgrade from this version.

Guys, if the update file has not been approved for your device's IMEI it won't work. I've tried myself with FF, dload, rolling back to MM, and TWRP without success. You'll only get the "authentication failed" message no matter what method you try. In my experience these posted files might not be the final release versions. If you use the "Check Firmware Access" option within FF app you'll be able to see if the file you're attempting to download has been approved for installation.

Hi Folks,
Seeing around various section of all the models when users are struggling to restore their phone either due the flashing an incorrect firmware or after updating via Firmware Finder app and then wanting to rollback to earlier version of EMUI. They sometime cannot even flash the custom ROMs due to FRP lock or unable to flash the custom recovery and even after trying all the known methods, we struggle to restore their phone as they messed up badly with their phone and model or version change to something unexpected.
In this thread, lets discuss and share about rollback files available for various models (be it MM, Lollipop anything) so that new users could use it to restore to their original version and then update to official versions.

Hi, guys.
One question: I got Honor 8 pro, and I want to unlock the bootloader and have root.
Now, in worst case scenario, if I need to go back and flash stock firmware with dload method, is "update-eu-rb.zip" the file I need?
Thank you so much.

You may find one in my signature for downgrade of 5X. Process is same but just a change of files.
Hi. Do these files restore absolutely everything? I've got a dodgy file in /system/lib64 and don't know if a dload flash will fix it. Would an ota package do it? I don't really want to have to wipe everything.

Dload will fix most of the things without wiping the data.
Got it wrong...

If it is just the one in your link, please send me a link on the "How to" for Honor x.

This rollback package will just creat a platform for rollback. Post this, you need to flash the MM based rom for your model via dload.
I got android 6.0!

Better to save for future use. Who knows when you need it but yeah if it's about deleting from sd card, yes you can

Hi everyone, as the title describes, Oreo firmware is available for middle east variant devices. Check FF to download the files.
Nothing is showing for me.

Apologies in advance for the stupid question .... but....
Did it jump straight from EMUI 5.XXX to 8.XXX?
Or have I been asleep at the wheel?

You may not be getting notifications, but as others have suggested in another thread, the fact that you have 'log' at the end of your firmware version, e.g. 'Build Number MHA-L29 8.0.0.321(C185log)', may be an indicator that this is a Beta version.
Am experiencing NO INTERNET CONNECTION on all my Google apps with exception of Chrome since yesterday. Any resolve please. Running Oreo now.
