My wife has managed to rack up over 20,000 points in Samsung Rewards on her S8.
However, when she tried to redeem a $100 Visa Gift Card for 20,000 points, she gets an error and is prompted to try again later.
She's even tried redeeming a $50 Visa Gift Card for 10,000 points and gets the same error.
I don't want to try any lower denominations because the point value is more for less dollars on the Visa Gift Card.
On my Note 8, I've already redeemed 2 x $50 Visa Gift Cards without a hitch.
I've tried removing/re-adding the cards, uninstall/reinstall and re-adding the cards, give Samsung Pay and Samsung Pay Framework full permissions, rebooted, and wifi on/off. Nothing is working.
Her phone is not rooted and she has the latest version of Samsung Pay.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks for any insight.

Saw your post in Google 20 hours after you posted it. Not bad.
Yes, just tried to redeem points for a rewards card, had the same issue. " An error has occurred. Try again to redeem. " Ugh!
Opened a ticket through app help, hoping for the best. Maybe it's a problem on their servers.
Good luck!

I finally broke down and called Samsung not expecting much help besides asking me to do a factory reset.
However, they noticed that I didn't fill in the last name field in her Samsung profile. Once I filled in the last name field, I went back to Samsung Pay and was able to redeem!
I had my wife's info correct within the Samsung Pay profile that included the last name field, but her actual Samsung account profile was still missing the last name field.

There is a new promo, same gig as before except it is now a $100 off coupon. The code is: MOTOXOOM
Go to the Moto store, order it and at the Amazon checkout apply the code.
Not as good as 25% but hey it cheaper and now better priced than the iPad2
People that pay retail are going to be real mad. I got it for 640 with the 25%

$539?? sounds real good right now.

update: theoretical price for wifi only. but 700 for 4G and 540 for wifi seem like solid pricing.
You realized that was for the WiFi only, right? It's in the intro text
539? Winner.
Do they ship to Canada? Looks like eBay here we come

They're feeling pressure from iPad 2 pricing obviously. Considering Steve Jobs just called them out directly on pricing. This coupon is gonna turn into permanent pricing for sure. Its not even a special coupon, this is just offered to everyone ordering.

The credit card number did not match the card type that you selected. Please check the full credit card number and select the proper credit card type from the dropdown menu.
When there is no place to put in a credit card yet? This is what prevented me from buying during the last Moto offering.
This is going to wreck havok their on their site again. Not a smart idea to run another promo when they are just catching upto the first fiasco.

They gotta do something to get sales up though. This isn't a loophole promo either, this is the real deal.

Never mind, I just created a new account instead of using my normal Amazon account. Doubt Verizon will be thrilled with the returns they'll receive. Who is going to pass up a legit $100 back during the 14 day return period?
Where was this announced?

You still save a little. Just dont know if its worth saving that little. I also heard some people getting their restock fee waived.
This happened to me on the 25% order and it was a bad phone # that caused the message.

I'm really tempted by this. I have it in my cart and just have to press submit.
OK, I called to verify with AMEX. I just return the Xoom to Verizon and get copies of the receipts and a receipt for the restocking fee. I send those to AMEX and they credit my account for the value.
This is very tempting.
I'm selling stuff on eBay currently, and I should have enough money to buy the Nexus 4. All my sales are going to PayPal though.
To my knowledge, Google and PayPal don't play nicely together. eBay for instance (I guess being with PayPal) bans the use of Google Wallet on their site. Play Store doesn't allow payment with PayPal.
I could just send the funds from PayPal to my bank account, but it seems my bank doesn't want to offer me a debit card (I'll have to look back into this though) Google Wallet also doesn't seem to be able to just take funds from Bank Accounts either. I had an idea of requesting a PayPal Debit Card and just using that on Google Wallet, but I'm not entirely sure if I'll be approved (waiting to hear back from them on this, but if I'm not approved, I'd rather have a backup plan).
Any suggestions as to what I can do?
So you bank didn't give you a debit card with Visa logo on it. Maybe I missed it.

If that's the case, why on earth would you stay with them? Go with a local credit union, or Charles Schwab (no fees, free check card, lets you cash checks through a smartphone app).
If you get a Paypal debit card, you can set it up to use your bank account as a back-up funding source if your Paypal account has no balance.
It's a debit card, not credit, so I don't see why you wouldn't be approved. The only thing is that if you're planning to purchase the N4 on opening day, the card may not arrive by then.
So it seems my bank won't give me a card because of my credit score or something along those lines. I'll have to look more into this a bit later though.
Still didn't hear anything from PayPal about their debit card thing either.

Banks actually do a credit check nowadays just to let you open a current account. Another reason for needing a credit score with a debit card is because if Visa pre-authorises a transaction even though you don't have funds in your account, your bank has to honour the payment. This can and does does happen, if you withdraw all your money from your account at a cash machine then go and use your debit card straight away the Visa database still lags thinking you still the balance before you took your money out and authorises the payment. And guess what? The bank still debits your account, put your account in arrears, minus money in your account means lending money to you, which means they're taking bigger risks because of your crappy credit rating. Banks can't risk that can they? better safe than sorry.

Goto Walmart and get a Walmart money card. Its a preloaded debit card that you can use with direct deposit. Basically a checking account with out a bank. Also has free bill pay and most frayed of a traditional checking.

I was actually just at Walmart earlier and saw one of these cards; are they usable on Play Store? I thought I heard something about virtual credit cards or something
Edit: Someone also brought up the Play Store Gift cards, which I also saw at Walmart. Would anything stop me from just buying $300+ worth of gift cards, and redeeming them all on my account?
Bump
Edit: Just checked my email, looks like I was approved for a PayPal Debit Card

Charleroi Federal Savings Bank
Banks will deny you a debit card if you are on a high risk checking account. Like if you write to many bad checks or have over drawn you're account too many times.
Credit scores may come in to play as well if you are young and have very little banking history. Debit cards are just as risky as credit cards for both the Banks and the consumer. They both allow you to spend more than what is available to you (credit limit or account balance, both can be exceeded).

Ah, I see. I'm guessing my credit score might be pretty bad due to whatever a relative might of done with my personal info or something, but idk (I personally never actually signed up for a credit card); probably something I should figure out real soon...
As for the PayPal debit card, is there any reports of it arriving sooner then 7-10 days?

I believe it is because of competition. eBay banned Google Wallet, PayPal won't let you deposit funds to Google Wallet, Google won't let you pay with a PayPal account directly :/
Has anyone had any luck at CVS (or elsewhere) purchasing gift cards or vanilla reloads with ISIS? I've only tried one CVS so far, but they flat out denied me using ISIS to buy any gift cards...they said it was store policy that I would have to use cash.
A lot of ppl seem to be having no problem doing it so I'm guessing it's just strictly local store policy. I fought with the manager stating that it's EXACTLY like cash and that the funds came directly out of my bank account, but they didn't budge. :-\

You mind telling me what area you live in? I'm hoping it was just that specific store. It's such a stupid ass store policy that they will only take cash for ANY gift card.
It's not even the amount that bothered them (I want to buy a $500 reload to get a quick $100 back, then do it again another day to get the max $200). Ugh. I know some Rite Aid stores have paypass but then they'd have to have gift cards too, and not the dumb cash only policy...

Just did the same today at CVS. Walgreens denied me, but because they said they had the terminals turned off because there was too much fraud. Not exactly sure what was going on, but CVS was happy to take my money. And I'm happy to get the $200 cash back.

Awesome also don't forget about the extra $50 you can get for direct depositing $250 twice into your serve acct. This can be easily done with PayPal. Just set up the serve card as a bank within PayPal with the routing and acct# given on the serve website. Another $50 for freeeee.
I went to the VZW store and used it to pay my $250 bill... got 50 back plus 10 for using at the Verizon store.

FYI, my $200 cash back just posted. Took about 36 hours.
Hello all, I have a question about purchasing a nexus 6p, I googled this topic for about 30 minutes last night and couldn't find an answer so I put it to the fine folks of XDA in search of an answer:
I want to split my payment for my N6P over two sources. One of the two is a "rewards debit card" that gets loaded with money when I hit certain incentives at work and I'd be able to cover half the cost of the phone with the amount of rewards Ive earned. Sadly, I can't add money to it or pull money out of it. So since I'm confident that I can't split tender on googles website, and I don't have enough rewards to put it all on the reward card, my next step was Google wallet/google play. I'm confident I read somewhere that one can't use Google play credit to buy devices, but my searching hasn't found a definite confirmation of that. At the checkout screen for the phone there was an option that said "Google play balance: $x.xx" but it was greyed out due to insufficient funds, not the fact that was an invalid payment type. So I'm hoping I'm wrong about not being able to use GP credit but am unwilling to test this theory by buying a bunch of Google play gift cards, loading them to my account and then not being able to spend them.
Would anyone be able to give me a hand on this one? Last night 64gb aluminum a were in stock and I was unable to pull the trigger due to the confusion and I'd hate to miss another chance at them.
Google Play balances CANNOT be used to purchase devices. It's in the T&C on the website and on the physical Play Store gift cards in stores.
You might need to purchase a reloadable debit Visa/Masterdcard, and load funds to it from your two sources, then use the one card to make your purchase. But I leave that scenario for those who have experience in this. I just wanted to tell you about the Play Store balance before you wasted any money on it (they dont give refunds on Play Store balances)
I had already gotten the promo for last week, but I deactivated my Samsung pay. Now I activated again to see if it was working yet, and now they are offering a new $30 gift card for activating a new credit card. Apparently it works even if you have already used samsung pay before...
I chose the $30 Ebay card.
Leave a response below if the promo worked for you too...
It worked for me too. I chose a Best Buy gift card because I needed to grab a phone case, so I got a Speck candyshell grip with it.

Is the second activation with the same Samsung account or different? I understand you used a different credit card.
EDIT: I redeemed the promo 2 days ago. Today, I reset the Pay app, re-registered with a new samsung account, used a card that had not been used with Pay, purchased a drink, and got "device is not eligible". YMMV. Will try the promo again with my second device.

Agree.
How did others double dip?
@xkravenx It's possible that it the first offer was for setting up Samsung Pay, then the second offer was for successfully completing a purchase with Samsung Pay.
I say this because I remember it sounded like this in the fine print, also I couldn't get Samsung Pay to work at all, that's why I deactivated it. Then when they made the second offer, I tried over and over again on my own credit card reader until it worked.
