YT Studio not working - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

So I returned my first essential phone for the back peeling off and everything was working fine on it. I now have a new replacement and when I try using YT Studio it just freezes at the splash screen. I've done a hard reset of the phone. Even cleared Google framework, app data and cache. Still nothing. Any ideas?

I'm returning mine for the same reason. Glad to hear they are giving you a return
When looking at the back, was It the bottom right?

Mine is working fine no problems. I'm stock and unrooted running O beta 2.

Apps wont delete/Factory reset NOT working!

Just bought a Verizon tab on Sunday. It is still stock, not rooted. Was using Launcher Pro and Dolphin HD. Was running well, until earlier tonight, when random apps started force closing then I noticed that several apps that I had downloaded before, and I had then deleted, were now showing back up installed. I have deleted them all since several times from Market and or Astro. I have also changed the wallpaper, and after a reboot, all settings would revert, bringing back the deleted apps and the old wallpaper.
Finally after numerous reboots, I decided to do a factory reset, and it is NOT working. It runs though the process, but when it boots back up, it still shows the old deleted apps and old wallpaper. PLEASE HELP!
Nobody? Seems like I got a lemon. I am going to take it back to Best Buy for an exchange.
Sounds like something funky is happening with your google backup/restore (assuming you have that enabled). Try turning it off and starting over from there.
Never had that enabled originally. Tried enabling and then undoing. No matter what I did it wouldn't work right. I took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it. Typing on the new one now. Hopefully all's good with this one.

Can't seem to wipe this Spring Galaxy Tab

I've been given a Galaxy Tab by my office to play with for a while for some various development projects we have coming up and to evaluate its use. Initially another employee had it, but he quickly lost interest.
Problem is, his Gmail account has been tied in as the primary account for the system, so I can't use my own Market apps, etc. No biggy, I'll just wipe it, right? First I tried a data wipe from recovery, but despite claiming to be successful after a reboot it's still got his account in there. So then I did Privacy/Factory data reset, but that mostly just reboots into Recovery where I do the same thing again and still fail to wipe his data off the device. I then pulled the memory card and formatted it and also reset with it out, but no improvement. I finally downloaded the stock image and flashed it with ODIN and STILL his account remains.
So... any thoughts on what I could be missing here? I just want this thing back to pure stock so I can put my own account in and work with it as though it were new.
I am having the EXACT same issue on a Verizon Tab...
No one has been able to help me.

Glad I'm not alone, but sorry to see you've not gotten anywhere either. This seem absurd...
Agreed. I thought I was the only one.. It just doesn't make sense.. I flashed mine using heimdall and still the same issue. The only problem is that mine force closes when you do anything.. So if I can't restore the software on this it's absolutely no good to me.
Yeah, same here. Nearly none of the apps functions now after the reset. This is absurd.
I'm in the same boat. It's very frustrating. Sprint was not able to help me. All he could do was walk me through the factor reset. I downloaded a Market app that bugged out something and now I'm getting quite a few force closes.
I just notice that if I merely restart this thing is loses all changes I made since I last restarted it, adding back any apps I uninstalled, removing accounts and WiFi settings I installed, etc. This is screwy. Wondering if there's a hardware problem with the flash memory.

Listen to this, even more crazy than that... After my last unsuccessful wipe, I decided to just uninstall all of the applications. I just did another factory restore for the heck of it. Now ALL of the applications I uninstalled are back!.. AFTER the factory restore!
I think the only sure way to fix the problem is to get a zip file of the stock firmware and load it through the recovery screen.
Edit: since it put the applications back on there, I decided to try your situation. I uninstalled all of them, turned off the Tab and then back on. All applications are back.

It seems incapable of now making permanent changes to the flash memory. This is really screwy and annoying.
I am having the exact same issues. We are all in the same boat.. I have a $30 reward if anyone can fix this..
Any updates from the others with this problem?
I received 2 more Tabs today for my sales reps. They both work fine as far as factory restore. I noticed that the bad one goes to the boot loader when I initiate the restore through the Android software. The new ones do not. They format and reboot back into the operating system. Sprint is going to exchange the bad one.

Thanks for the comparisons. Mine also goes to Recovery mode when I initiate a data wipe, so clearly it's the same situation. I'll have to see how mine was acquired and whether an exchange is an option.

Not sure what's going on

I'm not sure what's going on but my Nexus 7 is having some slight issues for some reason. My device came perfect I got it from J&R C60K batch, no flaws or anything. But since yesterday, my device has been force closing with some apps and it does this weird thing where I will get a black screen and see like the homescreen glimpse (I don't know how to explain). But what's more strange is that my camera won't connect anymore (face recognition is a blank square) as it says can't connect to hardware. Not sure what I should do. Oh and when I'm in the the camera launcher app its just a black screen and only shows the one of the soft keys( the last one not sure what its called but it shows you the windows of the open apps).
Have you tried rebooting device to see if it clears things up KR brings camera back? Haveyou downloaded tTHST nexus front camera app? You can test cam in there. If it works through there, then it's a software glitch not causing facelock to work right. Try a factory reset. All of what you describes sound like software issue. You could also reinstall nexus 7 factory img/rom. Do that as a last resort. No root or anything needed for restoring stock img, I believe.
Yup I did a factory reset and everything is back to normal. Not sure what it was but it sure did give me a scare!

[Q] Nexus 4, Force close loop on all apps, Help?

Last night my phone was working perfectly and i didnt install any new apps yesterday so i dont know what caused this to happen...
At about 6am today i turned on my phone. it was all fine until i unlocked it. When i put in my pattern it unlocked and it showed a few of my icons for about half a second and then it came up with an error message saying that the launcher had crashed so i pressed "ok" and it came up again so i pressed "report" and then it said "market feedback agent has stopped" and went back to the launcher and came up with the first error again.
i was just thinking about a way of getting around all the errors to install a new launcher so then i could use my phone. i plugged in my earphones and used the button to start playing my music, then i unlocked my phone and quickly opened skype before the error came up again and then i went in my notifications and i could open Play Music from the notification, i had a notification for an app update so i clicked it and it opened the play store so i installed "go launcher ex" i tried going into my recent apps to change my song but it said "system ui" had crashed, i tried to get into my settings but that crashed too, i worked out that it was most of the stock apps and a few others like bbm that werent working.
device specifications:
Nexus 4
Android 4.3
Rooted
Stock rom
Stock kernal
I dont know what to do without losing everything? thank you for any help
rebooted already? This usually fixes a lot of probs.
cheers
This is happening to me to. I fix it by clearing the ram or closing all open apps. But it happens like once daily now. Any long term solutions?

same issue as here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513412
just different description... Just cleared google service framework data... will check back in on that thread after tomorrow morning and let you know if it works.
Same here. Bone stock and I don't even shut the phone off but overnight something happens to it and all apps crash. It sucks because it was my morning alarm but the clock app crashes without sounding the alarm.
If I reboot it will work perfect till the next morning, then all over again. Wiped and it still does it. Called it in and Google wasn't aware of anything so if you get this make sure and call Google so they know its widespread.
I cleared services framework and it solved it. So far, 2 days without infinite force closes

Same thing happened to me today. I rebooted into recovery, cleared cache, clear dalvik cache and reboot. Been fine since.

That did not fix it for me.
I got the infinite loop the next morning.
i tried re-booting but nothing happened, i had to go into recovery mode and reset my phone. now i wish i made a backup.
I haven't been getting those major crashes yet but after a while I can't open any apps or they "stop. " I think it has been happening ever since I returned to stock for the kit Kat update. Closing all the apps sometimes fixes it but that ruins my favorite part of the phone which is I can have all my stuff open all the time.

I'm still having this problem. Did everyone else fix it or did it just go away?

Constant random reboots (already did factory reset)

Hey guys,
HALP
Is there a good way to pinpoint exactly why my phone random reboots? So far I've already done a factory reset and it hasn't helped. Even with only installing basic apps (google apps, twitter/insta/snapchat/evernote)
Even with none of those apps installed, it would still reboot.
Tonight my phone was at 48%, I picked it up, sent a text message, put it down, picked it back up and it was on the Google splash screen rebooting.
I downloaded Catlog, will that help diagnose, and what should my settings be?
Thank you so much in advanced for any help yall can provide
PS, my phone has always been stock and never modded in any way.

Have you tried flashing the factory images, along with formatting the internal storage? Factory reset was a good idea, flashing the factory images is the next step. Do that and don't install any apps, if the problem remains then you're probably dealing with a hardware failure.

Is your case "accidentally" holding down the power button? This was my issue.
Boot the phone in safe mode and check if the phone still does a constant reboot... in case it does.. there might be some hW issue as you already got the factory reset part going...
SENT... isn't that enough
Thanks for all the responses. I ended up losing patience and sending it back to my phone insurance for testing/replacement. They were the last to take it apart for a screen repair so I'm hoping to pin any hardware issue on them and they'll replace it under the warranty of the insurance plan I purchased with them.
If they offer me a definitive diagnosis I'll update as well.
Cheers
