Hello!
When activated, the motion control "Pick up" actually increase ring volume instead of reducing it! The other two motion control fonctions works fine.
Did someone else came across this situation and could there be a fix?
Thanks!

hi, i have a small problem with my notice button.
sometimes when i put my xda in my pocket i activate the audio recording with the notice button....
well how can i disable that ?
I don't have a magician. But let me guess.
Setting -> Button ?
Is there any way to lock some of the volume-levels?
I just got a call and i thought my bluetooth-headset wasn't working because the volume was down.
It often happens to me that i accidentally change volume levels which i did not intend to change.
I think in general i would like to have all the volume-levels fixed to about 80% except for the media-playback volume which i would control with the physical buttons.
Am I just stupid or is anyone else having this issue?
update: i tried a app called fixvolume which supossedly does exactly what i want except that it does not work and nothing is fixed.
Update2: smart volume free works great
I have noticed that my S4 forgets mute settings after a while and returns to normal vibrate and sound notifications without me changing it. First I thought I accidentally hit the volume rockers on the side, but I just noticed (in a meeting, embarrassingly) that it happens even when I definitely do not touch the rockers. All I did was hitting the home button a few times and unlocking the screen - but nothing that would change the volume setting.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be a third party app that produces this "feature"?
Like most other S7/S7E users I presume, I use the fingerprint scanner to unlock my S7E. However, if I need to suddenly mute the phone, the volume keys don't work until I unlock the phone. This is really annoying, especially as the volume keys work just fine when listening to music and the phone is locked.
Am I missing something obvious here? I'd rather not have to install a lockscreen app if i can avoid it.
Cheers!
Pull down the notification shade to access your quick toggles...
Ah yes, of course, totally forgot about that, lol.
Would still be better if we didn't have to turn the screen on first though. Is there a fancy way to work around that do you think?
There is an option that lets you mute incoming calls by putting your finger on the LED/sensor next to the back camera when the phone is face down.
a little late, but you can do it with macrodroid or LLama free apps.
The Trigger is= proximity sensor, fast wave.
Actions= ringer volume to zero.
Conditions= while phone is ringing.
When the phone rings, you just wave over the proxim sensor and it mutes the phone
just tested and works great.
If you turn "Easy mute" on in Advanced settings you can mute by waving your hand over the top of the screen.
Hello. I was trying to play with 3rd party vibration test app named Vibrations-Test. After i clicked the right-bottom power button and start to moving the sliders, i noticed really cracky sound that came out of that vibration motor (sample below).
Can someone test this too if it is factory defect on all units or just mine?
Sample of weird vibration sound
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install app mentioned above
2. Start the test by clicking the "power button" at bottom-right corner
3. Move the slider slowly and hear the vibrations

I too got a cracky sound when I tested this app after you mentioned, is it a hardware or software fault?
