Hey everyone,
I couldn't find anything about this in the TMobile Galaxy S5 forum or the unified thread, but I've been using the nightly CM11 for weeks now, but every so often the phone will freeze for no reason (not performing any consistent tasks). Also I noticed that when the screen is off and I get a notification, sometimes the vibration will "freeze" and won't stop vibrating until I turn on the screen. Has anyone else had these issues? I'm not running a custom kernel or anything, and I did a completely fresh install about a week ago to solve the issues, to no avail.
Anyone?
Dear All,
I just received my oneplus 2 mobile three weeks ago and start facing a problem, the upper left corner of the screen is not responding to any touch, so i cant display the notification bar by scrolling the first centimeter from the left but the rest of the screen works perfectly,
I enabled the "Show touch" from the developers settings part, and when i touch this area, i can see the white circle so this means that the hardware is detecting my finger but no response occured on the mobile so it seems that the software is not responding to my actions, this problems disappears by restart but after 15 mins from the restart it occures again and disappear only by restarting the mobile, also this problems occures with the android and all applications.
any help ? !!
same problem
I have the same problem, but with a different android device called the POSH titan hd e500 running android kitkat, I'm guessing it is most likely a software problem

I'd just clean install. Are you on oxygen os? It could be a bug with the whole quick pulldown thing. Why don't you try a full screen drawing app where you sketch stuff, there's one called whiteboard or something, and see if your presses detect in there. If they do, then I'd do a clean install if it is really inconvenient.
Two different model androids same problem
My brand new LG V10 and my husband's Galaxy S4 have the exact same problem. A restart will work for a short period of time. It's very frustrating. I'm running 5.1.1 and he has 4.4.4. I wonder if it could be a non system application causing this?

FB Messenger is absolutely the problem. We've been testing it and confirmed it across multiple platforms.
I am also facing same issue in Oxygen os version 2.2.0.

Like above said, try uninstalling Facbook Messenger.
Just got a Moto X Pure (Style XT15752) (Dual SIM India variant) a few weeks ago to replace a OnePlus that refused to charge.
Running on TruePureX MM ROM at the moment with Frankenclark kernel.
Had a few issues with ghost touches on the navigation bar early on but I always assumed it was due to moisture on the screen or something because it would always disappear in a few seconds (and in the meantime I'd give the screen a wipe with a cloth or such)
But now the nav bar completely refuses to accept touch input. When I enable show touches (in developer options), touches on the navigation bar area are not registered whatsoever.
Saw a couple threads with similar if not exactly the same issue but no solution as such.
The weird thing is that this part of the screen works perfectly in TWRP suggesting a software issue.
Tried wiping system and reflashing the ROM already with no success.
Any suggestions guys? Trying to fix this without going to service as that will take a while and I don't have a spare phone to use in the meantime. (My work seems to revolve around being connected 24/7)
P.S. Also using Button Savior to use the phone at the moment. Only the Home button works, not back and multitasking.

I got my phone under a year ago, but sadly I wasn't aware of this issue until after I unlocked my bootloader, voiding my warranty. The issue is that sometimes when the screen wakes, one or two random spots on the screen begin tapping wildly, which I've been able to spot after turning on the "show touches" option in Developer Options. This is a huge hassle, as on several occasions the issue has caused changes in settings, on my home screen, and even turned off some alarms as the screen was woken as the alarm went off. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and if there was any way I could solve it myself without Motorola's help. It may be software based as I've messed with a lot of things, but currently I'm on complete stock Nougat and the problem still happens.
I have an ASUS Nexus 7 2012 Wifi (grouper). I have installed a custom rom and recovery on this device. (This didn't cause the issue)
It was on its original firmware and I was playing a lite game on it. (King of Maths) I was playing and scrolling through game menus hen suddenly the device shut down without warning the screen just turned off. Then I rebooted it (turned on with power button) and immediately started glitzing with artefacts on the screen, and touch didn't work in some places. A few years later I tried to revive it with lineage os 14.1. It had worked and was running the software, but the glitch was still there. and when I pull down notification shade, (only on home screen) and tried to just brightness with slider. The touch stopped.
Anyway I can fix this?
Thanks, Yeebee

Just so that I understand, are you saying that upon adjusting the brightness, the touchscreen failed to respond? It seems odd that it would do that. Does the touchscreen work at all anymore? If you could enable developer options and usb debugging then it would be very useful to post the 'adb logcat' output.
