so i just bought the leeco le s3 last week and the phone works great and all but for some reason the translate my sms messages to Chinese for some reason someone please help i really don;t wanna have to send the phone back i'm american by the way so i need my messages to be in english. Any help would be appreciated.

hi everybody, Im really in a big trouble regarding sending sms. I can actually just send the shortest messages that can merely reach 6 to 7 words. I choose GSM from the SMS Service but it doesnt helped. i actually use windows mobile 6.1 with M-Amine rom.
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzeeeee eeeeeeee help me if u can. what ever the message text is more than that number i get an error message that this message cannot be sent. so please if any body of u have any idea help me. and of course my htc is polaris..

i was typing korean,,, so i guess korean input is symbol, anyway
send english is no problem...
i search from other blog to fix this problem, and i did, but still not working
they ask me to set up and check box from sms setting
(use unicode when necessary)

Just registered to answer your question...
You need to upgrade the firmware of your iphone.
I use the 4.0.2 version and the "symbols" work and before it didn't (I had the same problem as you).
It's better if you use the 4.0.1 or 4.0 since the MMS doesn't work on the 4.0.2 yet...
Save all your contacts, SMS, Calendar, Notes, etc etc before doing that!
You'll have to restore your phone first and then upgrade to the version you want
Since you use Tmobile, you'll have to go thru the process of jailbreak and unlock.

To my knowledge the problem is you are trying to send a message to a network other than tmobile.
I'm using tmo USA right now,I can send a message containing symbols(characters) to a tmobile usa device but not an AT&t account.
And as you said, receiving messages is not a problem though.
So, I got into this problem some time ago and been trying to fix it since then.
It seems this is a problem with the SMSC, but I cannot solve it. I can only send SMS that are not bigger than 1 or 2 sms together, if I try 3 or 4, it doesn't send.
My cell's network is Vodafone, I'm in Portugal and this is the SMSC number I should be using:
+351911616161
The +351 is the country code.
I tried to use the *#*#4636#*#* code in order to change it.
I click "refresh", then "update". I click back, go there again and it's blank. Also tried to use other SMS app, still doesn't send big sms.

Did you try it with an alternative sms application to see if this fixes anything?

i use rom client and GOSMS pro client and same problem, i think maybe a problem with cyanogen or other thing...

Hello everyone I'm Italian and I'm using google translator XD I have a problem with my galaxy s vibrant, yesterday for no reason does not send more text messages as soon as I try to send messages crasch the app and the network goes away, it also happens when I arrive .... Hi All quick question. I'm planning on rooting my sisters Galaxy note 3 and installing this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2787627. She uses her phone for business and does not want me to proceed until i am able to back up all her text messages. Could anyone please provide me some direction on how to best do this ? I use a HTC one and backing up sms/mms has always caused a problem with my rom or just didn't work correctly so i don't know how that will all behave on a Samsung phone. Also If this is not possible is there a way to export the text messages to a Email or word document ? I'd really appreciate any support you'd be helping me out immensely since my sister will stop nagging me to do this
