Huge lag on lock screen after wake-up: anyone else???

Hi,
When I switch the phone on by pressing one of the hardware buttons, getting past the lock screen often takes ages. I can slide the lock slider to the side, but after that everything freezes and it can take up to 10 seconds for the lock screen to disappear. Sometimes it even hangs completely.
It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be annoying.
I have a suspicion that the problem might be the Sense interface hanging or restarting. During the freeze, the start menu often works ok, and I can access other programs from there too. It's just the home screen that won't come up.
Does anyone else experience this? Any solutions??
I'm on ROM 1.48.
I'm encountering this problem too - 1.61 ROM, tried turning all updates...etc.. off.
Major slowdown in Sense, happens several times a day, can't seem to find a pattern.
related to the deep nap here?
I have that issue when closing some programs like opera and going back to the start-screen it freezes for a few seconds. sometimes rsshub freezes for no reason, too. i have no idea whats causing it.
I get this allthe time
not good

True, shutting down Opera seems to take a lot of system resources for a couple of seconds. It was like that in the Touch Pro too. But at least here you know when it'll happen and why, so I can live with that. I just keep Opera open in the background most of the time. [I haven't used Rsshub much so I have no idea what's going on there.]
The trouble with the lock screen freeze is that it occurs when the phone has been idle for a while and shouldn't actually be doing anything. And the fact that it's completely random. Whenever you turn on your device, you have no idea if it'll be responsive or not. It's the one and only thing that annoys me about the HD2.
never had this but i have disabled the stock lock screen and use s2u2

Nexus 6p locked once shaked, how to solve this issue?

Guys, my nexus 6p suddenly started a strange locking behaviour every time it shaked, any clue why this happend and how to disable this locking behaviour? Also the finger print doesn't unlock my phone, and it shows the pattern unlock screen afterward.

There is no stock function to do that.
Are you rooted or are you running a ROM/Xposed ?
Maybe it's also a contact issue with the power button so as it's maybe broken, it emits a signal once shaken?
But the fingerprint issue was common with people who rooted 6.0.0.

Have you tried resetting the fingerprint sensor? I mean, remove the current lock method and fingerprints, and reset them.

Any third-party lock apps that you are using, or have used previously?

Weird then. You can try a factory reset maybe? But do make sure that you have a backup of your internal storage, and everything else that you feel necessary. This will give us a clue, whether or not this is a software, or a hardware issue.
I sort that every time I plug my power bank to the phone the problem pop-up, very weird!

Phone becoming unresponsive/keyboard unresponsive-anybody else with this issue?

Anyone from Essential on here?
Sorry, don't know why the title is in bold....
This just started several days ago. It has gotten to the point of really becoming a return and refund issue. I want to like this thing but I can't have it locking up frequently. Turning the screen off sometimes helps-sometimes not. A restart normally fixes it for a little while.
I am running stock with a few added apps like mail, etc. Fingerprint is off.
Like I asked up top, anyone else suffering through this?
I returned the phone it was so bad.....

Between the keyboard becoming unresponsive and the phone locking up, it was enough to warrant a return to Best Buy. I'll try again when they make another manufacturing run and in a different color. I do like the Essential and would like to own one.
I get this sometimes as well. I'll try to switch inputs while typing and it will freeze and become unresponsive until I reboot the phone. Im going to reset my phone one of these days to see if it helps.
I have done this and it seems better, not sure if it's a placebo or not but give it a go!

Are you using any custom keyboard like Gboard or swiftkey? If not, Does switching to either of those help?

Having weird unlocking issues with my phone

So I'm having a weird issue with my phone. Eveey once in a while, I'll go to unlock my phone but it won't do anything. I hit the home button and it turns on like normal, but it doesn't recognize my finger print or do anything when I swipe to get to the pattern like, then after 2 or 3 seconds of not recognizing anythinf, it turns off. If I hold the rest butting, it gives me the option to turn off or reset my phone and if I do that, it works fine it turns back on. Also, strangely enough, it allows me to swipe up to bring up Samsung Pay, then let's me tap on the Samsung Pay main screen then I tap on my amount of points which prompts me to unlock my phone first and then it recognizes my fingerprint.
I think it's also worth noting that I can tell when it's having this issue before I do anything because my notifications don't show up on the screen like they usually do.
I checked to see if there were any new system updates and it said my phone is up to date. This issue seems to be happening more lately, too. It used to be every once in a while, but now it's happening multiple times a day
Any ideas what the issue could be?

That would be a no then I would look up Odin s7/s7 edge (depending in which you have) to stock which will allow you to get your phone completely back to stock software to see if it's a software issue if it still does it after that it's a hardware issue and you need to contact whoever you got your phone from for a replacement

Question Sluggish UI occasionally

Has anyone else noticed getting a sluggish UI every once in a while? I can tell when it will be sluggish because the screen never gets bright. But its painful to use and happens like every 3rd time I unlock my phone. I think it is a bug with unlocking and maybe the fingerprint reader. Like if I just pick up my phone and try to use the reader without hitting the power button, it seems to happen more from that.
after the newest update i got that also. Its like the screen refreshes in 10 Hz or something. Locking and Unlocking again removes the problem. it happens like 1 time in 2 Days

So I installed the pixelfy module and it hasn't happened since.
For me also sometimes after unlocking the phone. Screen brightness goes to around 5 percentage and hz will be as low as possible.
