Eco Pro 3 x722 Intermittent Charging Problem - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi everybody,
I've gotten my EcoPro3 a few days ago, and since realised the consequences of getting an x722 with a shop ROM.
I was looking around for a custom ROM or something to replace my shop OS but I've decided to just stick with it because of others having mixed experiences with flashing on the x722!
All in all it seems to be alright, but I have an issue when charging. I'm using the original cable, but it seems to work fine when the phone is on, including when the screen is off (Supposedly quick charging then?) My issue is that when the phone is totally off, the charging will last for a few seconds, and then the phone will vibrate and the charging notification light will turn off, before cycling back on again. It charges for a few seconds, stops for a few, and starts again. Annoying as I want quick charging to work well!!
Seems to charge fairly quickly with the screen off and phone on. I do get a screen popping up telling me I have an 'unofficial' ROM, presumably shop, and that my phone won't start normally.
Running 020S
I know that lots of people have had issues with the cable, so i've ordered another one just to check and see. Anyone heard of issues like this being related to the particular ROM?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

What are the consequences of the vendor ROM, BTW? I'm planning on sticking with it. If it doesn't pass SafetyNet, I'm gonna ask for a refund or replacement, because that's unacceptable.
If you're getting messages like that on the vendor ROM (which you received in the first place), I would definitely get it on camera and complain to the reseller. That's really, really unacceptable and unprofessional of them. It's hampering your phone's day-to-day use. I'd personally open a PayPal dispute. Never let shady Chinese resellers off the hook.
As for the charging issue, I don't know if that's hardware or software. In any case, I hope you've got a video of the unboxing showing off the issue for evidence (I can't stop stating the importance of this). In any case, take a video and send to seller. It's unacceptable whether it's related to the ROM or not--everything should work perfectly out of box, don't settle for anything less, or it will come back to bite you if and when something goes wrong down the line. They'll do everything they can to hold onto your money.

Oh, and another question: does your phone pass SafetyNet? As in, can you use Netflix, Android Pay, etc.? Did it come bootloader unlocked? Because I contacted Bangood about the phone today, and they told me they've put non-original firmware on the phone. Time for a PayPal dispute, I guess. I'm planning on sending the phone back, as packaged, the moment I receive it. Never trust Bangood, I guess.
Which is weird, because my mom's $170 Le 2 from India has stock firmware and she has no issues with SafetyNet. I don't know why Banggood is doing this. They're definitely doing something shady to get a hold of those phones.

I have the same problem, the phone didn't charges its battery when it is off, and shows the same message. There is no soluttion for me, a PayPal claim will solve something ?? Do you really think?

It should, since you were misled into believing you were receiving a phone with official firmware. If the listing didn't mention that the phone's firmware was modified, you have grounds for a dispute. Document this on video, and send it together with the PayPal dispute.
The seller you bought the phone from may ask you to close the dispute for a refund. Do not do this. The moment you close the dispute, they'll ignore your request for a refund.
Did you buy from Banggood?

I actually bought from GeekBuying, who are an EU retailer and they shipped from Spain stock.
No, it doesn't pass. You're unable to install Android Pay, and I haven't tried Netflix yet :crying:
Hasn't really affected me yet, because I don't have NFC on the x722 anyway!
I'll open up a claim with them and see where it goes I suppose.
Charging issue remains unsolved It does seem to quick charge while the phone is on if I turn off the screen, though!
I'll update with what supplier offers.

I wonder if it has to do with having LeEco services on the phone.
When you first set up the phone, did you choose the option to add LeEco services? Could that be the culprit? Just wondering. I saw online that some people managed to pass SafetyNet by removing LeEco bloatware but I'm not entirely sure. Maybe they were on an official ROM. I know that Geekbuying sells the phone with both official and unofficial software.
Is the bootloader locked? You can check by going into fastboot, or maybe there's an app for it. I know Android Pay won't work on unlocked bootloaders so you'd assume your bootloader was unlocked, but it's worth checking anyway. I know Banggood is advertising the x722 as a phone with a locked bootloader. You have grounds to complain about the phone's security since banking apps and Android Pay don't work on it. That's misleading advertising since they didn't mention it anywhere in the listing.
In any case, open a dispute and see how it goes. Just don't let Geekbuying make you close the dispute.

Like the OP of this thread, I urge you to document the issue on video and open a dispute with Banggood. Do not attempt to root the ROM, unlock the bootloader, or anything (yet). Just open the dispute first. This is simply unacceptable, as the phone is not functioning as it should.
If the issue is due to software, then the onus is on Banggood to provide you with a solution. I hope you paid with PayPal, because PayPal is really good about handling disputes.

ZUK Z1 with issues vs ZUK Z1 without issues

Ok, so to determine the reasons behind some issues people are having, post where you purchased yours and if the box was totally sealed by a sticker and transparent plastic film or not.
We can also see if some of the shops were mentioned a lot.
I know some Chinese sellers put the COS rom on Chinese version of ZUK, so the box would be opened.
I bought mine on Gizchina shop.
The box was completely sealed and unopened.
I dont have any of the issues people are mentioning here.
Note that is absolutely easy to seal a box with a transparent film
Only some seals are granting the phone isn't opened since it leaves the factory...
In Italy, honorbuy.it

I had a zuk sticker sealing the box and a plastic film.
In the UK via Amazon
Full sealed package

That's sorted i see
Mine was sealed but when I opened it, there was a fingerprint on the homebutton. So either the box was was resealed or ZUK is testing the sensors on every phone.
I haven't discovered any issues yet, but I will wait with my vote a few days so I can check everything.
Box sealed (although it can be resealed and i wouldn't know the difference), bought from gizchina.
Until now no hardware issues. Overall very happy with the device. Only a strange software issue regarding the support of Greek characters (there is a letter missing and all the punctuated letters appear in bold). When i find the time i will create a new thread regarding this matter.
*SOLUTION THREAD CREATED*: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk...-character-t3346072/post66060967#post66060967
Its really strange because it appears to be a Cyanogen OS issue, and in my previous phone (i9082) i was running CyanogenMod 11 and had no problem whatsoever with the Greek alphabet.
The letter "ς" appears missing in all text sent or received (in all apps), and it's even missing from the keyboard (there is a blank spot instead).
Seems to be a font issue? If anyone has encountered something similar I'd love to hear some advice.
Hi guys i sold my Moto x2, so i want to buy a new phone, i see the specs of the Zuk Z1 and it's my first choice, it's worth it? or do you thing that it's better wait and go for de OnePLus 2?
Thanks.
Mine was sealed, bought on Amazon, offcial european model.
My issues so far:
- The first run came with ACCESIBILITY TALKBACK mode ON. it was horrible to have to doubleclick everything to set up the phone, and listen every text out loud.
geekbuying ..unsealed no issues
bought in Italy, from honorbuy.it
box was sealed and device is perfect, no issues at all.

I'm using oneplus 2 and zuk z1 simultaneously, just to try and figure out which one is better. It's been 2 weeks and I'm personally sort of forcing myself to like oneplus but I keep on going back to zuk. There is something in zuk that makes me feel really good when using it but the jury is still out. Only if the camera would be any better this would be an absolute no brainer !!!
when i am insert sim then it shows no service what i am doing?
plz any one help
Which slot? Have you checked both?
Horrible mobiles, worst customer service. Bought 2 weeks back, couldn't use for 10 days.
1. Shows multiple errors viz. UI stopped - at least 8-10 times a day
2. Hanging
3. Worst can't make or receive call as it goes into airplane mode, even when the mobile is NOT on airplane mode. While.making calls there's a display "turn of airplane mode to make a call", whereas Airplane mode is already OFF.
Sent online request for errors, received typical reply that we sell original handsets which covers warranty etc etc.
Then visited service center in Bombay. They simply run factory reset and asked to use mobile again.
Next day same problem, again went there, already 100's of frustrated customers were in que. This time they said they have to update the software, Next day again same issue.
Went again, now they kept it for 15 days, reason need to replace motherboard. Hellooooooo... how on the earth do u expect customers to be punished for your inefficiency? ?? If your QC is not done, then why sell such units??
The only good thing is camera n of course battery life... but what's the use if u can't use your mobile, for the purpose it is bought.
Our problem is that our Indian laws are so loose that such Chinese companies can fool us Indians easily n we can't take any action on them.
Hope the government will awake n do something and take some stringent action.

Charging Pin Broke on phone.

My Moto X pure's charging pins broke on my phone. Literally $440 down the drain, and there's nothing to do but buy another one, but what the hell do I do with this thing? my warranty is voided because I unlocked my bootloader (Thanks Motorola, thanks.) and every year there is a new problem with a smartphone I buy. I literally buy a phone every year because something stupid happens to the ones I buy. My Find 7a? Screen cracked, and there is literally no such thing as a how to guide to replace the screen. My Mate 2? 100% garbage phone that I sold to my friend, which was stolen from him. The only thing I have left is this garbage iPhone 5 that is more of a burden that it is a benefit. I've been contemplating to just say screw it and buy an iPhone 6/6s, but I would rather use a Nokia n900 than to touch one of those normie devices. I've been thinking of buying one of those Meizu phones but support and root instructions for those things is nearly impossible to find. Right now I am super pissed off and I need my phone to continue with my work. I cant even swap sd cards to my iPhone 5 because its a CDMA abortion model and wont work with my metro PCS sim. I have literally little to no money right now, and there isn't a phone out there that can compete with this thing. Samsung? Garbage. Huawei? Shady. HTC? dead on arrival. Apple? Next. If there is anything I can do I would greatly appreciate the options.
First, make sure the charging problems is because of the phone, not the cord or the power supply. If it is the phone here's some ideas:
-Try the warranty. Even though the bootloader's unlocked, being that it's a hardware problem, they might still fix it. Doesn't hurt to try
-If you can't use the warranty, pay to get it fixed
-If you're buying a new phone but don't have money, some companies allow you to pay over some time, like 6 months
-Huawei isn't shady
-Sell the phone. Someone may buy it to repair it. But you'll be losing by doing this and not getting it repaired yourself, as I doubt it'll sell for much.

-Currently I am at the Repair & Return page on the Motorola site, and they are asking for $111 for a repair. There is no mention of the warranty, other than the "My Device" site where it stated my warranty wont end until October 2016.
-I believe those companies are carrier companies. Carrier locked, bloated devices that aren't factory unlocked.
-Huawei did some dodgy things when it came to the Mate 2 getting its Lollipop update, and same with the mate 7. Currently the HAM 2 is still a burden to use.
I am planning to sell the phone for a good 300, along with the find 7 for a 300/250 price tag. With that money I could get a whole new phone, probably the Meizu Pro 5 or Mate 8, but, of course, there is Abosolutely no support for the Pro 5, and the Mate 8 is like $800. Probably might get the Oppo R7 Plus, its the holy grail of Phablets imo.
EDIT: How much do you think the X Pure would sell for in its current state? Nothing else (Literally nothing) is wrong with the phone, its on Marshmallow and its rooted.

The repair and return page might be talking about damage where your at fault, like a broken screen. Contact Motorola and tell them your problem. Don't mention that it's unlocked. The most you'll lose is the money spent on postage if they don't fix it because of the bootloader.
Some large retailers allow you to pay over 6 months for any purchases over a certain amount. You'll need to check what there is in your country.
I'm not sure how much it'll sell for, but keep in mind, some people aren't gonna pay too much for a phone which they can only assume that the seller is trustworthy and there's no other problems

Wont Motorola instantly send the phone back to me once they realize it is factory unlocked?
And Retailers meaning Sony, Huawei, etc? I live in the US, could you tell me some retailers that have that option available?
And I was thinking on selling the phone to one of my friends, not online or anything like that.

If it's clearly a hardware problem, they MIGHT fix it. Can't say for sure, but there's a chance.
I don't live in America, but this is what we have in Australia https://www.kogan.com/au/interest-free/ . Good Guys also do it for some items.
I'm sure there must be some stores in America that do it.

Bricked axon 7, what to do now.

:crying::crying::crying: So the phone was working perfect until I noticed it wasn't charging. No red led nor charging indicator on upper right battery icon, checked chargers and cables but still nothing. So I decided to reset the phone but never powered on again at all. No life,
Nada. No red indicator, vabration, no menus nor bottom tricks. Nothing. Out of experience here what do you suggest? I was thinking of buying replacement charging PCB board and battery but not sure if it would even do anything. Also how would I go about warranty specially with the current zte USA issue? I bought the phone on newegg just before they stopped selling it completely so don't know how to proceed. Any advice greatly appreciated and TIA. Quick update: no type of heat seems to be coming off phone when connected to charger for long period of time.
If the phone is still under warranty they've either got to fix it for you for give you a replacement. It just might take longer than usual. Contact Newegg first, and if unsuccessful with them you can contact ZTE directly. Remember ZTE isn't just a phone brand, they're huge and they have to follow the rules. Also, I've heard for 80$ ZTE will send you a refurb Axon 7 as long as you send them your old phone. That might be an option too. You can enquire with them about that before filing an RMA I guess.
I all so had exactly the same issue. Brand new Axon 7, and it just wouldnt charge. Contacted ZTE right away, it was the day after they got in trouble with USA. They answered back first, but now not a word for 2 weeks nearly, I've written to them several times, since they said they would return to me after consulting with their engineer's, but nothing. And they don't even answer back or anything.
That is not okay to treat their customers like that. Have lost all faith in them. Not our fault they got problems for deals that aren't legal.
WOW!!!!

WOW so sorry to hear about your experience, I had read your reply before but couldn't get back cause I had to make due with the crappiest LG prepaid phone from Verizon so I'm replying now. My UPS store just called me to let me know they just received it so let's see how that goes. In the last Email they stated it would be a REFURBISHED phone not the one I sent. I hope it's cosmetically new cause that how I had mine. Now my only question is if I should risk rooting it since I suspect that might have caused the damage but still unsure cause it's a common problem even with a stock locked system. All I really want is my backups but don't know how to use Helium. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Worse Customer Support EVER!!

Ok so lets go back to the beginning. I ordered my one plus 8 pro on the prelaunch on the 22nd and i had issues with battery drain i thought was just me well i decided to root it once i received it and this was before really messing with it. After i rooted i realized my fingerprint scanner wasnt working and went through trouble shooting and One plus set up a remote flashing. Anyways they used MSM and tried to flash my device 4x and canceled it mid flash twice and it ended up in qualcom crash mode. I Was forced to set up an RMA over a week n half ago and they just received the phone on the 1st due to ups issues. It was inspected and my replacement was supposed to go out today and it didnt so i contacted oneplus and they had no idea what was going until i received an email a lil bit ago that they are out of stock and it can take up to 30 days for a replacement. They want me to take a refund or wait for a replacement but the problem is on the prelaunch i got the free wireless charger and bullets and they wont allow me to return them and want to deduct the price of both items. The have given me no other options. I am only making this post so that anyone who needs to RMA will now you may not get a replacement device because they are out of stock and dont keep replacements on hand.

Theres clearly stock issues all over. Atleast they have agreed to give you a refund or a replacement dont see they issue of why they are the worst customer support. They could turn around and not replace your phone as you caused the issue....

Well guys today i was told that if i wait and something is wrong with the device i will be out of warranty to replace it again or refund so i can either get refund now or im screwed.
its ridiculous how they are trying to screw the customer over. I have bought every oneplus device since the 3 and i have called everyday and they told me today that if i dont return the headphones they will charge me for the free gifts so i have to return them if i wanted a refund and i asked if i received this new device and something was wrong would i be able to get a new device or have it replaced and they said no cause after May 31st i would receive a refurbished device and will not be able to get a refund for any purpose. I am honestly over it and thinking about switching to the pixel just because i have never had this issue when returning an item to them.

You might wanna call back I talk to the main support team and they said that all purchases have been extended to the 31st of this month and will not refund or replace any phones unless refurbished after that. The first time I called they said the same untill I talk to a guy who got ahold of the main support team and they verified that it doesn't reset just they will extend till the 31st.

That can't be true can it?
In fact I'm pretty sure with a phone that's less then a month old you still have two years warranty.. RMA or not.
The guy who told you otherwise is talking bubbles.
You have two years end of. It's your absolute right.
Don't return anything, let the phone come back to you and you'll retain your warranty. This is their fault and that is that.

You'd prolly need to find the relevant laws to begin with, or scour their ToS and warranty info. That's a bit of time itself.
Then, you'd need to present a case with them, and who says they're remotely competent. OP customer support has legitimately been worse than google as customer support. I honestly feel it's there to put a check mark on paper.
So lets say that with said proof, they still deny it. Ok, cool. Now what? I mean, if you're fortunate, you can take them to court over it. But this isn't a small business. Some companies will legitimately draw out court cases and more, simply for the fact you'll have to give up at some point, because we all don't have hundreds of thousands waiting in the bank, and the years to process the info. By the time you even did succeed anywhere, this phone would be 5 years old at least.
In all honesty, short of gross misconduct, oneplus can pretty much do whatever they want at this moment, and there's very little recourse if any for them to deal with it.
Corporate tyranny is real. This is my first OP device, and as much I like it (minus dislikes on some) the customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced. So much so, this will be my last OP device as well.
Sorry if none of this reads coherently, half asleep.

Nah I get you. Tbh any company can act in this way. I've only had to contact OnePlus 2 times and they were good.
It's the situation I think that's causing problems. Personally I'd hold fire and let it come back. Just get one of them to say that it'll happen and you'll be fine.
Or not. Just get a refund and bite the bullet on the bullets, could probably get a Xiaomi or similar device for the remainder of the money
Ok just to update this a bit. I have no idea what's going on now now I agreed to a refund and now waiting for such. They have giving me different stories bout the returns and such but i was referring to the fact if you buy a one plus device you have 15 days to get a brand new replacement or refund and after the 15days it's refurbished and no chance of refund. At first I was told that the 15days restarts once u receive the replacement but now I'm being told that all devices are covered till may 31st.

Thanks bud I have most the chat logs in my email so that's one thing but OnePlus has a special response team that only the call reps can contact and without them contacting them they just repeat same thing.
So let me get this straight. You were having battery issues so instead of doing a factory reset or contacting customer support you took it upon yourself to root the device causing more issues? Now you're mad at OnePlus because you're getting some sort of a run around because OnePlus devices are sold out?
To be honest if it were me I wouldn't be so reluctant to hand out a free phone or a refund after you caused more issues than just battery drain. The initial problem could have been possibly fixed fairly easily had you have not tinkered with the phone. After you rooted the device they tried to flash it and it wouldn't work and you're saying it's somehow oneplus' fault? Yikes
Guess this should be a lesson learned. Don't Tinker with a device that has issues and expect 100% full compliance from the manufacturer. Just for an example I have a warranty on my vehicle and I was told if I do any self repairs my warranty is voided. You should just be happy they're offering you what they have since you have already said it was you that caused the problems outside of the battery drain.
Oh and let's not forget the fact that you want OnePlus to give you money for free items that you received when purchasing the phone. I mean for real they were free..
Update still no refund.

That sounds like they went above and beyond to keep you happy, once you rooted it, they could have told you no replacement or refund.
Also, you will not receive your replacement for at least a couple more months, the phone is out of stock and given the current global issues I don't see them shipping out replacements any time soon.
As a previous post said, let's hope you learned a lesson and contact support BEFORE rooting.

Actually You're wrong! It wasn't cause I rooted maybe if you read the whole thing you'd understand! They set me up with an appointment to flash the device with a flashing appointment and the guy started and stopped mid flash 3x then it got stuck in Qualcomm crash mode and he said to replace it! I have waited over a month for a refund also and the replacement as far as that I don't even want to deal with them anymore! They have no idea what goes on in this company and for over a thousand dollars you damn right I'm gonna be pissed.

So you're waiting for a refund or a replacement? Did you send everything back? If you send everything back and haven't gotten the refund, dispute it with your credit card company.
Sent from my IN2025 using Tapatalk
Request replacement they told me to change it to refund cause it would be two months for a replacement and still nothing. If you want proof message me I'll send you proof. I sent everything back I have screenshotted the chats and all.

Faulty F2 Pro BuyBuyBox stolen by scammer

Hi, I want to do my best to report what happened. I wanted the Poco F2 Pro 256GB version and found one online at BuyBuyBox, who have an online store as well as an eBay store.
I bought the phone back in July 2020 and it started having issues like a warning about overheating at the start. After a week it started working ok and I left it and didn't decide to return it.
But soon after it had issues with the fingerprint sensor and would just not power on or the screen would go black and have to be rebooted constantly.
It stopped detecting the fingerprint sensor altogether.
I tried various ROMs and options, but believe it was a hardware fault.
I contacted BuyBuyBox via eBay where I got it. I was somewhat reluctant to return it as it was outside the 30 day period on eBay. The seller said to return it and they'd repair it and send it back.
I thought that sounds ok, they had a decent eBay rating (somehow I'm not sure).
I sent the phone back as it was unusable as it was. Once it arrived they said they would look at it. Since that time, they won't respond to any messages.
I sent eBay an email to complain about the seller being a scammer and eBay have been hopeless also at even doing anything at all.
I paid over $800 for the phone, so have lost $800.
If anyone knows of a way to help it would be appreciated. I know it's a risk to buy from overseas online, but liked the specs of the F2 Pro.
I did find some reviews since then of BuyBuyBox and it seems a common trick they do. They get customers to return devices, then never respond or return them. Which is just a bit of a shock to me, as I'm always honest and help people out, to deal with absolute lying scammers is not something I'm used to.
My suggestion do not ever use BuyBuyBox if the device you buy works you might be ok, but if you have to return it, then just don't do it as it will be gone for good.

Have tried that and isn't possible to do anything with either PayPal or eBay as PayPal say it's not eligible and eBay aren't any help either.

If you paid with PayPal everything is eligible. ( Up to 90 days, sometimes more )
Open a charge back thru PayPal and explain the situation in the ticket ( i also suggest to convert it right away to a claim )
They will need to reply to PayPal else you automatically win the claim
