Hello there, I was hoping I could figure this out on my own since I haven't seen anyone else experience this, but I am at a loss now. For the past week or so I have been experiencing very odd behavior with the battery. I tried calibrating it once before and I guess that didn't work. But simply I guess the battery percent is just completely wrong or something else is going on. I am on PureFusion with Hellsgate kernel but this has happened with other roms as well. I am at a loss now and I was hoping someone could help explaining it. I hope I don't have to send it in to ZTE, but I will figure that out if the time comes. If anyone can help I would appreciate it so much! Thanks in advance!

Hi All,
I noticed that a couple of seconds to midnight the display of my Touch HD turns on.
I turns off as usual, but I think it's kind of strange.
Anyone had the same issue?
Is it harmful? somehow I don't trust it
Hope someone knows what s the cause.
Regard
Ramón.
Have a search on here - I think I've already seen someone talk about that. It's something to do with searching for updates or something like that.
Thanks, I searched before but didn't find it..
I tried again and found the thread.

It seems to be caused by GAlarm which I'm using.
Thanks for the tip.. feels good to know why this happening
I was just curious to see if anyone else was having this problem. I have searched and found no threads that were describing exactly what was happening to me. My signal just drops out completely and doesn't come back for a full 5 minutes sometimes. I'm pretty sure it's not the root doing it either, because it was happening before I rooted it. I figured the root would solve it, but it hasn't. If anyone has any ideas, please share. I'm going to try a different radio right now and I'll share with you the results, but ideas are still appreciated.

Definitely your radio. Flash the latest radio and see if that improves it.
Sent from my HoneySmartDroid Port using XDA Premium.
I tried a new radio yesterday, for pretty much all day. It didn't solve the problem, but I'm going to try all the radios I can. If anybody else has another suggestion besides radios let me know please.
Okay, sorry it took me so long to respond. I have tried almost all the radios and none of them have solved this problem. I know it's not a T-mobile issue either because I get great service at my house with every other phone except this one. It's looking like a hardware issue, but I was wondering if anybody had any input on it.

I would send it back to tmobile, tell them about it and send her back, you might want to remove soff though
Its not new and I didn't buy it from T-mobile. I guess I can try sending it back to HTC though. I did call them and see if it was still under the 1 year. Thankfully the previous owner didn't register it. It's now registered under my name and I have a backup phone, so I guess I will do that. The charger port is loose and needs to be fixed anyway. Thank you everyone for your input.
I've tried two different ROMs but the problem with battery seems to be in two of the latest Roms one is near 2.5.4 (the latest one if I quoted wrong) and second one is X-note v4 and now v7 these are ones that happen to have battery draining problem.
It happens whenever i use camera and then close or get out of it and after an hour or so whenever i check all ic is my battery is dead. Is there some fix for this problem or are we stuck with it forever?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Bump
It's a 4.4.2 firmware problem. This qq camera daemon makes phone hot and drains battery like hell. Sonetimes i have same problem: the only temporaly fix for me is to pull the battery out of phone for a few mins
I'm looking for proper fix is there any fix that can take care of this forever? You need not to take battery just restart your phone or max shutdown that will do the job till next time.. wonder what is causing all this and how can it be few of us only? Whilst the firmware is out in millions of phones in various varieties of phones...
We really need this fix if anyone has fixed this issue please share so others like us can benefit...
Thanks
Still looking for fix...
I have deleted apps downloaded for my watch. I have also restored the device, and the battery is still dropping like crazy. Not sure if there is some way to completely wipe it and then restore it. If anyone knows anything I could do to possibly fix this please do help. Thank you for your time.

Hi Michael,
I had almost the same problem (my watch turned off and the battery went almost empty in 10 min) and I got on warranty a new one. Try to contact Motorola.
Greets Manuel.
Since I have upgraded to Nougat (standard install w/root), all of my streaming apps, such as TuneIn Radio, are pausing after 10-15 minutes. This only happens when not on charge. I thought it might be the new Doze feature, so I turned it off fully. But this didn't fix the problem. Then I went further, and even de-optimized these apps in the settings. Nothing seems to help the situation. Has anyone else seen this, or have any ideas to try?? Thanks for any info.....
This is probably a app issue and not a 7.0 issue. You will have better luck contacting the developer so they can release an update.
Thanks for the info. Thought that that might be the case. Just thought someone might have had the problem sometime through all of the previews. Will work out something in the meantime, till this gets fixed. Thanks again....
