I've purchased a Z9 smartwatch which appears to be yet another version of the Zeblaze Blitz and Lemfo LEM3 watches.
I'm hoping to eventually root this watch too free up some of the memory , but I have an initial problem attaching to my PC. I've downloaded drivers for the Zeblaze LEM3 assuming they would be the same but no go (windows 10). Am I even wrong to think this ?
I'm perturbed that when I go into Device Manager it appears as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and there is no Hardware IDs or Compatible IDs in the properties. Does this imply a hardware fault ?
Thanks for your help.

I've had the following problem which I solved and now I'm wondering if anyone else found it, since I'm afraid it might point out to some hardware fault.
When selecting LG Software mode on the phone for connecting to your PC, Windows (in my case, 7 x64) attempts to install an MTP USB Device, but fails with Code 10: Device cannot start. At this point I (after many trial-and-error cycles) had to select Update Driver for that device in Device Manager, select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of drivers, and from the next screen, pick USB Composite Device instead of MTP USB Device. It installed right away and then 4 other USB devices popped up, which also were installed (using Windows Update). After this, LG PC Suite (and also LG Mobile Support Tool) detected the phone with no problems.
So, were any of you confronted with this?
Just wanted to say I had the same problems following your steps allowed me to get this to work. Thanked!
Thank you so much. This solved the problem.
I'm actually having this same issue. When I click "Show me a list of blah blah" it doesn't give me a USB Composite option. I only get two MTP options, and if I check "Show Compatible Hardware" it shows a bunch of drivers for MTP, WMP, and some other protocols. Any ideas?

yes, but unfortunately i don't have USB Composite Device as a selection on Windows 7 64bit. any other suggestions to get this stupid lg software installed?
After spending over 6 hours on this problem and installing a new windows, I finally found the culprit, it was Xposed Media Scanner, disabling it fixed the problem. Of course if you did not install this module before then the solution is not for you, maybe it will help someone reaching this page from Google.
Hi frndz i jst brought OP2 yesterday and i cannot transfer files between PC and device... Whenever i connect and select MTP (developer options) i see that "USB device unrecognized" after going to device manager i see "Unknown Device (Device Descriptor request failed)
**Tried to update drivers but no use

###Can anyone plz help me overcome this error? I'll be very thankful###
Hi,
I just received the Z17. It looks well but I had many problems with the USB connection.
I use the connection too with my Jiayu S3Adv.
On that phone, I can read all the contents of the phone (SD Card and Internal mémory)
On the Nubia, I can read nothing into the windows 8.1 file explorer.
I just have (under My Computer main part) an icon named NX563J.
If I open this "drive" (or device), I just have a disk named "Shared internal space" (Espace de stockage interne partagé) (Sorry, I'm French, nobody is perfect, my English too ) with no files and one or two directories (log for example)
In order to have a "complete view", I had to change into Developper Option the default parameter "Charging" to "MTP"
Right, I can access the full contents of the phone...
I seems not activated by default.
Do you have the same problem ?
I use MyPhoneExplorer to synchronize data between my PC and mu phone. It works perfectly with the Jiayu.
I can't connect the Nubia to that application.
I'll have a new try with the "new MTP parameter" activated.
Thanks
Complement :
Each time I shutdownower off the phone and the computer, I need to reinstall the drivers...
Otherwise I can't access the phone contents.
I'm thinking to return the phone
May be I found one solution (or problem)
My computer (Lenovo Carbon X1 gen 3) is supporting "only" USB 3.0 specifications.
USB-C connection (I'm not speaking about the connector) need USB 3.1 and over specifications (thunderbolt).
So despite my device is recognized, it seams MyPhoneExplorer can't connect via USB-C protocol.
I had a small try with a connection via bluetooth, it seems to work.
But I can't see the phone contents when the phone is connected via USB.
Microsoft says USB-C connections are not supported by the windows OS under windows 10 (7, 8, 8.1)...
i have the same problem

The problem is the USB C connections I have a surface and It does not recognize the USB connection due to driver error, I try to find a way with no solution, have anyone of you tried to root the phone successfully?
Ok, it works... sometimes with W8.1 x64.
In your configuration panel, open the item "Device Manager" (sorry, I've the French Version only)
In the menu "View" (Affichage, the last menu item on your right before ?) clic on Show Hidden devices
On the "Unknown device" Clic on Properties (Propriétés)
Tab Driver => Update the driver
Find a driver on my computer
Choose in a driver list on my computer
Choose USB Device and choose USB MTP or something similar.
Clic on Next. The driver will be installed
In your file manager, you can now see your phone.
If you have more than one phone, may be you have to do that each time you connect an other phone on your computer
Hope this helps you
Add-on :
Download the latest (ZTE) usb drivers. You'll find them here on XDA

Hey all, I am trying to flash this box using the USB burning tool (Amlogic) and it is not connecting to my PC for the life of me. I hit the AV button and connect it. the blue light pops on but nothing at all that my PC detects. I tried 2 different cables and made sure they have data on them as well. I plugged it in on a monitor while trying to connect it the monitor says android recovery on it so the box is doing something. my pc is a windows 11 64 bit. I have tried differnt versions of the usb burning tool as well. I think I hit a wall here and need some help. This is what I am trying to do BTW https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PusB45JXq6WyolvezFZgAtQLZN_fPcvJ2FvAbAGihh0/edit any help would be super cool !
To help your PC recognize the MXQ S905W device, you may need to install the appropriate drivers and ensure the correct settings are in place. Here are some steps you can follow:
Connect the MXQ S905W device to your PC using a USB cable.
On your PC, open the Device Manager. You can do this by pressing the Windows key + X and selecting "Device Manager" from the menu.
Look for any unrecognized or unknown devices in the Device Manager. The MXQ S905W device might be listed under "Other devices" or "Universal Serial Bus controllers" with a yellow exclamation mark or a question mark next to it.
Right-click on the unrecognized device and select "Update driver" or "Update driver software."
Choose the option to search for drivers automatically. Windows will attempt to find and install the necessary drivers for the MXQ S905W device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
If Windows cannot find the appropriate drivers automatically, you may need to manually install them. Visit the manufacturer's website for the MXQ S905W device and look for driver downloads specific to your operating system. Download and install the provided drivers.
After installing the drivers, disconnect the MXQ S905W device from your PC and reconnect it again.
Check the Device Manager again to see if the MXQ S905W device is now recognized without any issues. It should appear under the appropriate category without any warning signs.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, there may be compatibility or driver availability limitations for the MXQ S905W device on your specific PC. In such cases, it's recommended to consult the device's documentation, contact the manufacturer's support for assistance, or explore user forums and communities dedicated to the MXQ S905W device for further troubleshooting and solutions.
