My S7 Edge claimed to change the knox (0x1) after reinstalling ROM stock. I reinstalled the ROM because it was showing some crashes. I have never done ROOT, I am the only owner and I have seen other people who have faced the same problem. Is it possible for Samsung to issue any fixes to fix this? For there was no change in the system.
you can't it's definitive

Nope, tripped is tripped

I searched the internet to find a solution , i was unable to find a solution that was directly linked to my problem or concern i would say. To get on with it i have a n900(Yeah i know dev support suks). I am completely stock and knox warranty is also valid(=0). I recently wanted to flash custom roms and kernels. I have about 2 months of warranty left on this phone, so what do you guys suggest?. The system status will certainly change to 'custom'. Is there a way to restore it back to official , like can u find official recovery of the n900. I just want that if i ever want to sell it, everything except for knox is reset back to normal. Thanks!
No. You can't. I suggest you to wait.
If you want root use towelroot.
If you want a custom recovery use safestrap
Both app don't alterate knox.
I will flash a custom kernel when cm12 will be out for our phone
Once you trip KNOX, it's done and can't be changed. If I recall correctly, there have been experimental tests done for Exynos version of Note 3 in order to reset KNOX flag, but I can't remember the result (may be wrong).
As for System Status and Current Binary, these can be reset to Official via Triangle Away, if you got stock kernel and recovery. You can flash stock firmware via ODIN to get these.

On n900 exynos you can reset knox flashing a particular kernel. (I don't know if it works now)

- Flashing custom rom/kernel will trip the Knox.
- The Knox can be reset on N900 (I don't remember where is the instruction).
- Flashing the stock firmware will restore the system status to official.
After updating to Android Nougat official BTU Samsung pass won't work.
Everytime when I enter my login datas (yes they're correct) it shows that Samsung Pass is currently not available and that I should try it a little later.
Does anyone face the same problem or know how to fix it?
ON ROOTED DEVICE!
Edit: Noticed now that you only have to delete samsung pass from system/priv-app to get fingerprint login in samsung browser to work.
Same here
Same here. It is not possible anymore to use your fingerprint for any service. Samsung pass is never available...
Nougat 7.0 BTU (Installed with full wipes)
S7Edge
PS: This is the first problem I found in Nougat.
Same for me, I flashed from LUX to BTU.
Works perfect here

I had the same issue. But after trying out a few times it worked
Tried already 30-40 times but won't work else...
Works perfectly fine here too, in fact, ive got no issues with Android N on this phone at all so far, they even seem to of fixed the over sensitive screen.
Have you ever rooted or flashed a custom recover or rom ? is your Knox counter still at 0x0, if no then this will explain why its not working as it uses Knox.

Works fine even if Knox is tripped.
I enabled all disabled apps...rebooted...but doesn't work else.
Also deleted Samsung Pass Data...doesn't help...
Strange.
Will try now a factory reset.
Nothing...
I have tried everything... still not working.
Clean phone. No root. Stock.
Also tried to reflash but still not working.
Knox Is 0X0 .
Anybody has an Idea?

If you are rooted or if your Device Root key (DRK) is corrupt or missing, Samsung Pass will not work
All works perfect for me
Flashed ITV to BTU
I'm also downloading now the BTU flashing over ITV ....we'll see if Samsung pass will work
Everything works fine it's just Samsung pass. Even knox world fine.
No Root, Knox fine, Samsung Pass not working.
It can be because I'm not in a supported country ? I'm in Belgium and there's no official nougat here.
I flashed BTU. No root but Knox 0x1 and Samsung Pass works fine.
Hey folks,
Has anyone of you ever experienced something like that?
Explanation: A custumor came to our store complaining about his non booting phone (bootloop).
He swears he never touched the Software e.g. rooting etc..
I've always thought that Binary Custom & Knox 0 isnt possible?
Interrupted/failed OTA can cause this. Happened to S6 I owned once. Reflash official fw with odin.
Just wondering if installing stock firmware using Odin resets knox. I of course tripped it without even knowing what it was, and it looks like my banks mobile payment option requires knox 0x0 to work. I've looked at lot of posts on here with regards to resetting the knox counter, etc, but they are pretty outdated and most of the files required to accomplish it are long gone. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be so helpful. I don't care about having root, I'd prefer to stay on the custom rom I'm on, but if that's not possible I'm willing to go back to stock. I noticed a lot of the threads are asking how to keep root while resetting the knox counter, but I just want to know if installing stock rom will do this for me.
Did a little digging and it looks like its impossible to do. Oh well, mods can close this thread.
Knox so important?
Even my note 3 got 0x20 count i will no bother if no abnormality happen..just carry on and live with it
I think it's only possible on the Exynos version, not on Snapdragon.
As for your bank, maybe it only detects root, NOT knox 0x1
So, you can try Magisk root method instead of the traditional SuperSU, because Magisk can hide root from a couple of apps that detect root, like Google Pay
Hi all,
I had a weird problem on my european Note 3. I've never rooted my device, nor installed custom APKs. I was experiencing some random reboots recently but that's it.
Yesterday checking the phone status menu I noticed that my Device Status is "Custom" and by rebooting with volume up now I see that the warranty bit has been set.
It wasn't like that before (even recently) and no non-play-store app or anything else has been installed since then.
Any suggestion? Anything I can do to be sure that nothing intruded my phone?
R
Still no one experienced the same?
Flash a stock ROM using Odin and it should change back to official. Knox can't be reset.
warranty should be long gone by now and I doubt there'll be any more updates for it from shamsung.
Root it,install an anti-adverts host file then install a weeded out/debloated original rom.
