Hello,
is there any possibility to know what sim of a dual sim is activated???
i want to write a plugin (homescreen eg.) that shows me ok sim 1 or sim 2 ...
maybe there's an internal sim serial or so that we can readout the phone and use??
please help
thx steve
I had the same thought when I got mine.
I just use phonealarm - the scroller can be set up to display the current phone number.
Takes a couple of minutes to update, but works well.
Folks
Can I ask which dual sim adaptor are you using with your Hermes, and which networks?

Dual sim adaptor 10th generation (with Sim Tool Kit) and two 64k or more SIM cards, network doesn't matter.
See the FAQs on the wiki:

If you want to program yourself...
I saw many apps showing IMSI code of the SIM. This code is unique for each SIM.
...
anyone knows a programm that reads such fings? and shows on home screen??
or is there any app available that reads out the phone nr. of the sim and shows on home screen??
steve
Apologies for delay in replying.
PhoneAlarm does do what you want, you just need a skin with a scroller region. Not all skins have them, including the ones you get by default. Try the SWIIQVGA or HGS6 skins. You'll also need to go into config to set the Telephone # as being displayed in the scroller.
You can create your own skins too. If you want you can create a skin with only a scroller region and set it to only display the tel # I suppose. Should be able to set the size of the text too.
BTW I use the sam as Pof. Works OK, if you can overcome your fear of taking a pair of scissors to your SIM cards.
I've got an S5 Duos and want to know if it's possible to natively (or with an app) set specific contacts in my phone to a specific SIM automatically? i.e. it will auto call or text a contact using SIM 1 each and every time?
I use SIM 1 for my day to day usage calling family, works colleagues etc but I also have tenants who I only call or text using SIM 2 (I don't want them to have my other number on SIM 1) so want to keep them separate. I've looked everywhere but can't find a way to do this other than using the utterly useless Chomp SMS which mixes up SIM1 and SIM2 randomly and regularly, without warning which causes no end of issues.
It's such a simple an obvious issue I cannot believe Samsung haven't written this into the phone as standard.
Anyone got any feedback on this for what must be a really common issue?

Thanks but I've already tried this and it doesn't work. Won't lock a contact to a particular SIM even when you set it to. The phone still asks which SIM to use before sending which is what I wanted to avoid.
Hi everyone,
I am the owner of a G935FD root with superman rom and I just mount my 2nd sim pro into the phone.
However when calls come on whatever sim 1 or 2 I cannot differentiate them.
It's a problem because I don't know if the call is private or pro.
How can I change that in the settings or with an app?
Cheers
Just attribute a song to each sim

thank you, I forgot to that.
But most of my time the phone is on my desk on vibrate. I used to on my previous android phone (marshmallow too) to differentiate the call by a color. I can see automatically if it's pro or perso.
I don't have this feature here and i would like get it
Hi guys, just a quick question on dual sim management.. Is it possible to have one sim on "no sound" and the other one on "sound"? I mean, when I'm at work I want only my company SIM to have sound notifications, while when I'm outside I want my personal SIM as well to have sound.. If not, is there a software that can do this?
Thanks
Anyone here?

Yes, it is possible. Check out the techrepublic article here. It has to be done manually, but you can just switch off the ringtone for the private SIM while you are at work.
Then again, if you want everything automated, I am sure you could work something out with Tasker and Dual SIM Control.
As to the title, has anyone ever tried to install a Thai or Indian firmware, plus the SIM card trick, to get the native call recorder?
I don't see why it won't work if you flash any G975F with Thai firmware and use a Thai SIM card. However, I am not sure if Samsung requires you to make a 10 minute call with Thai SIM. Some phones from Asia are unlocked but UK ones are SIM locked unless you make a 10 min call. Don't want you to SIM lock your phone so just wanted to warn.

Tks for your answer. My goal is to get the native call recorder, since ACR or CCR don't work properly.
Tks also for your warning, I live in Italy and would buy a S10+ with European CSC, do you think I would have some problems with the Thai SIM?
I should flash the Thai firm with Odin and use the non home CSC, right?

I think getting a Thai SIM is important. I'd flash the Thai ROM and then factory reset with Thai SIM card.

My Thai S7Edge, S8+, S9+, S10+ never have any region lock warning sticker on the box.
I used to use LG G7 and it's region lock is applied only once in forever. I could freely hop around many regions without any problem.
Call recorder by Skvalex has been working perfectly for me on my UK s10+

Have you flashed any Thai firmware?
Or are based in Thailand?

I think it records through the audio source set to MIC, which generates noise.
I also believe that it does not work when a BT headset is connected.
Could you try?

You're lucky...
everyone here is angry because all over Europe, and in one half of the world, the phone calls recording has been blocked by Samsung (or Google?).
Can you advise me how to buy an S10+ in Thailand?
If convenient.....

Correct, it doesn't record through Bluetooth. And yes there's noise as well but someone said the app was updated and the recordings are a lot clearer now.

I'm quite certain that region lock is "permanent". After you buy Italian S10 and makes some calls, you will never get region lock again even when you flash with other region firmware. If that doesnt make you feel safe enough and you have to buy Thai or Indian sim card anyway to change CSC, you can make local phone calls to the sim card operator using VoWIFI (this way you can have local phone call rate). Most phone operators use IVR system. So, 5 minutes call would be really easy.
I bought a Thai SIM.
Factory reset phone with Thai SIM inside.
Configure phone and then change to my spanish SIM.
Reboot and call record is working.
My csc change phe, phe, phe to thl, phe, phe.
Cons: Only Thai Samsung pay and Samsung members (not checked other Samsung apps).
Factory reset again, with my original SIM, need spanish Samsung pay because Samsung rewards.

Great!!!
That was just what I wanted to hear.
Did you make any special setting in Developer Options?
Do you think there will be problems if I do it in a phone with ITV CSC?

I installed a Thai latest 10 firmware via Odin. And then I inserted a Thai SIM (without network registration). Factory reset and inserted my Vodafone SIM card of my network keeping the same settings (without reset).Native call recorder is ok. I lost RCS messages through Samsung message app. Is anyone else facing this problem?
