Hi everyone,
I am the owner of a G935FD root with superman rom and I just mount my 2nd sim pro into the phone.
However when calls come on whatever sim 1 or 2 I cannot differentiate them.
It's a problem because I don't know if the call is private or pro.
How can I change that in the settings or with an app?
Cheers
Just attribute a song to each sim

thank you, I forgot to that.
But most of my time the phone is on my desk on vibrate. I used to on my previous android phone (marshmallow too) to differentiate the call by a color. I can see automatically if it's pro or perso.
I don't have this feature here and i would like get it

Can I order a second SIM-card with my provider (NL Vodafone) and put this in my 'normal' Nokia phone and use both my Tab and Nokia?
If so, what happens when you get a call, will both phones ring and can you choose which one to pick up?

I'm pretty sure vodafone nl doesn't allow that. And while it is possible to clone a sim card for this purpose, this is illegal and will most likely get you banned from the network.

Hey
I have my tab and my galaxy s running at the same time. Both will ring and get messages simultaneously. The one I dont pick up shows missed call and of course the outgoing call and message log only shows whats been done on the phone in use. I am on a Norwegian network. Your provider can probably tell you how it works though

I have a Nexus 4 (unlocked) and want to upgrade to an S5 (unlocked) SIM only deal.
Some questions!
1. Do I just take the SIM out of the old phone and put it in the new phone, and this will transfer Contacts, Texts and phone number?
2. Do I need to inform my SIM only carrier (Virgin Mobile UK)?
3. After I have moved my SIM across (assuming this is what you do) can I still start up my Nexus 4 and use it, except for making phone calls? Or will it be dead?
Thanks,
Jon

It depends on where you have stored your contacts messages and phone numbers. I store all mine on the phone and sync with google or I have a backup using the likes of Mybackup or titanium backup (root) or Helium. these will back up all of your information so that you can restore them to the S5. As long as your Sim is the same physical size as the one for the S5 you should just be able to move it from one phone to the other. be careful though as 4G may not be enabled on your old sim.
Good luck
Brian
I recommend sync your contact to google then you can import it to S5. You can use your phone without sim card, but of course u cannot call or get/send message.

How can I find where my text messages and contacts are stored? Is there something under settings that has the location?
3. After I have moved my SIM across (assuming this is what you do) can I still start up my Nexus 4 and use it, except for making phone calls? Or will it be dead?
** you can still use it on Wifi. But yes, not on calling nor texting.
I've got an S5 Duos and want to know if it's possible to natively (or with an app) set specific contacts in my phone to a specific SIM automatically? i.e. it will auto call or text a contact using SIM 1 each and every time?
I use SIM 1 for my day to day usage calling family, works colleagues etc but I also have tenants who I only call or text using SIM 2 (I don't want them to have my other number on SIM 1) so want to keep them separate. I've looked everywhere but can't find a way to do this other than using the utterly useless Chomp SMS which mixes up SIM1 and SIM2 randomly and regularly, without warning which causes no end of issues.
It's such a simple an obvious issue I cannot believe Samsung haven't written this into the phone as standard.
Anyone got any feedback on this for what must be a really common issue?

Thanks but I've already tried this and it doesn't work. Won't lock a contact to a particular SIM even when you set it to. The phone still asks which SIM to use before sending which is what I wanted to avoid.
Hi to all ,
The only thing I would like to know seconds before proceeding to buy this beautiful device is if it's dual sim full active like Huawei P9-Honor 8-Mate 8.
Thank you.

On the one I have the SIM management menu is exactly the same as the Honor 8 menu, so I guess it should be. Not using it yet as I can't get the google part to work...

Dual sim full active means that you can call from your first sim to the second sim and you can accept the call.
Thanks for the explanation. I tried to call the other sim but I go straight to voicemail. I don't have the "accept a second call" option on my main sim, so the same happens once I activate the "call forwarding between sims" option.
screens fyi, hope this helps.
Thank you very much my friend but those are terrible news for me.I was hoping to be a dual sim full active device.

But it never happens on any phone. Any example of calling sim 2 from sim 1 on any phone?
Thats dual active standby means once you are on call on any sim, and you get call on another, you will be notified.
Or if you have data on sim 1 and get call on 2nd sim, data doesn't get turned off.

Yes my friend, that's right. You can also receive a call to sim 2 while you are speaking to sim 1 and put it in hold waiting or answer immediately.
The magic concluded when you're communicating in sim 1 and you can use the data simultaneously from sim 2.

Thats what I said brother.
If you are on a call on sim 1 and get another call on sim 2, you will get notified (during call and you can pick or reject the new call). That what the dual sim standby means. Also, of you have data enabled on sim 1, and gets incoming call on sim 2, your data should not turned off (purpose of dual standby)
What i mentioned is - you can not call from your sim 1 to sim 2 ( in response to the 3rd post on this thread because you can't have one outgoing call and incoming call simultaneously unless the call is answered already or ongoing, screen can not display one outgoing call to sim 2 and incoming call to sim 2 together).

Hi used p9 and it worked pretty well is there is any recent phone which has this ability dual sim full active tired of carrying two phones with me
Good day, hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
I searched the forums for my problem but could not find any solution. Appreciate all the help you can assist me.
Here it goes:
I bought my phone unlocked from Saudi Arabia, a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos Model # SM-G935FD and it is working perfectly when I was there. The phone is updated and non rooted.
I moved back to the US 3 weeks ago and now using T-Mobile SIM only. SIM2 slot is empty.
The problem I am having sometimes when people call me, the call will either go directly to VoiceMail or rings 2-3 times then goes to VoiceMail.
Of course my phone shows no missed call notification nor does it ring, and after 1 hour I receive a notification that I have a new VoiceMail. Sometimes I receive it instantly and sometimes after 1 hour!
Mind you it seems to happen randomly and at first thought the reception in my area was bad, but it happens when I am away from home as well.
If I remember correctly it has happened to me a couple of times when I was in Saudi Arabia.
I have been reading lately here that using LTE/3G/2G Auto might be causing the problem.
Since this morning I am on 3G/2G/Auto setting and it seems to be receiving all calls with no problem.
Is it a problem with the phone or the network and what can I do to remedy it?
Thanks in advance!

There were reports showing issues about not receiving calls and forwarded directly into voicemail on dual-sim models but only on s9 s9+
I hqve the same s7 edge duos (bought in Dubai) and don't have the problem, probably is a ROM issue. Try BTU ROM for 935F the one I'm using now.
935F roms works on our 935FD's (also detects our dual SIM)

Hey there sorry for my late reply.
I am currently using another phone in the meantime and planning to switch to Google Fi and buy a Pixel 2 XL.
I really think the problem is with the phone. My father has a T-Mobile SIM and an international LG V20 device and it is working perfectly.
I think the S7 Edge cannot properly connect to T-Mobile cell tower.
Also I am browsing the site: https://www.frequencycheck.com for more answers.
Did You manage to get a solution?
I am in the same boat. Bought phone from Dubai. Worked well for 6 months, till December 2017 but now it has the same problem as you faced.
Well not really a solution but here what I did:
I switched to Mint SIM and bought a Pixel 2 XL, which is working perfectly.
I gave my S7 Edge to my mother and she is using H2O Wireless SIM. So far it is working fine.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, I currently have the same phone and I too was experiencing connectivity issues when I first received it. I basically flashed it with a T-Mobile compatible ROM and changed the CSC to "TMB". This solution will have your phone running on a ported stock version of Android 7.0 (Nougat):
T-Mobile compatible ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-nougat-7-dplt-wifi-calling-volte-t3540723
CSC Selection Utility
V2.5.0 Android 7.0 Nougat
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-30-t3392957
Select the CSC as "TMB"
I hope this helps!
I have the same issue, Samsung S7 edge from United Arab Emirates not receiving phone calls with T-mobile
