Hi to all ,
The only thing I would like to know seconds before proceeding to buy this beautiful device is if it's dual sim full active like Huawei P9-Honor 8-Mate 8.
Thank you.

On the one I have the SIM management menu is exactly the same as the Honor 8 menu, so I guess it should be. Not using it yet as I can't get the google part to work...

Dual sim full active means that you can call from your first sim to the second sim and you can accept the call.
Thanks for the explanation. I tried to call the other sim but I go straight to voicemail. I don't have the "accept a second call" option on my main sim, so the same happens once I activate the "call forwarding between sims" option.
screens fyi, hope this helps.
Thank you very much my friend but those are terrible news for me.I was hoping to be a dual sim full active device.

But it never happens on any phone. Any example of calling sim 2 from sim 1 on any phone?
Thats dual active standby means once you are on call on any sim, and you get call on another, you will be notified.
Or if you have data on sim 1 and get call on 2nd sim, data doesn't get turned off.

Yes my friend, that's right. You can also receive a call to sim 2 while you are speaking to sim 1 and put it in hold waiting or answer immediately.
The magic concluded when you're communicating in sim 1 and you can use the data simultaneously from sim 2.

Thats what I said brother.
If you are on a call on sim 1 and get another call on sim 2, you will get notified (during call and you can pick or reject the new call). That what the dual sim standby means. Also, of you have data enabled on sim 1, and gets incoming call on sim 2, your data should not turned off (purpose of dual standby)
What i mentioned is - you can not call from your sim 1 to sim 2 ( in response to the 3rd post on this thread because you can't have one outgoing call and incoming call simultaneously unless the call is answered already or ongoing, screen can not display one outgoing call to sim 2 and incoming call to sim 2 together).

My friend i owned all the devices i wrote before (except the P10 plus) and believe me i ve been tested them through this way.I accepted successfully a call from sim1 to sim 2.
You can ask a owner of these devices to ensure what i m writing.

hi there!
bad english
bad questions
but hopefully good answers ;-)
i will get an dual-sim-adapter in a few days.
is there any application which will switch automatic to the preffered sim depending on the number i would call?
eg.:
sim 1 - calls free with 0676 , 0650
sim 2 - calls free with 0699, 0660
other calls sim 1 or sim 2 (doesnt matter)
if i call 0676 and i am booked in to sim 2 the applic will change - otherwise not
does anybody know what i mean and wheater there is a software able to do?!
greatings
werner
Grüezi !
As far as I know there is software that is used to switch from Sim 1 to Sim 2, but not based on the number you dial.
Think you might be asking too much there.
Hello all,
I've ran into some troubles with my device, since I have it running with a unlimited data transfer flatrate, that sim is blocked for incomming and outgoing phonecalls.
Solution on this trouble should be one of the dual sim adapters, which leads me to another problem. Since it seems to be impossible on my HTC Uni to have two simultaneous active cards running, the data one would be the usual active one for my needs.
But how to get the device automatically activating that sim, while its sleeping on an incomming phone call? Preferably without any costs on the data sim and extra costs on the phone sim either for me nor for the calling party.
Call deflection an possible option?
Since its probably a common issue im ashamed that I couldnt find any solution. Would be nice if I could still get some reply.
Thanks in advance,
Real.

Actually, I don't recall any dual SIM adaptor allowing 2 SIMs online at the same time. Looks like you need a phone able to handle that specific feature.
Your phone is able to handle 2 different lines at the same time ... but on the same SIM card. Some Operators used to provide this type of plan. A plan, 2 different numbers ... But same Operator !
I've heard that ETEN will release a Dual SIM PDAPhone (DX900) : http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Eten-DX900-is-dual-SIM-smartphone-article-a_2805.html
Anyway, I've been looking for the answer ... But, nothing yet.
Here is a workaround
Dual SIM WM Phone.

This really sounds interesting, since I've got both of my most frequently used sims at the same provider. (Telefone/- and Dataflat)
Maybe my provider is willing to attach them both sims into one, or else theres still the chance of "doing by self". Another point is that those contracts dont have such a long lifetime anymore, so most likely this will be pretty mutch possible.
Sounds way better than buying a new phone, with the possibility of using two sim cards simultaneously.
Only one thing troubles me, since I've wrote about the HTC Adv beeing the mentioned device while it is Universal. Does that one have that feature aswell? I hope and pray, since this seems to be my last chance of having it more user friendly.
Any reply mutch obliged,
Real.
Dear all
After greetings,, I got Huawei P8 lite 1 week before , actually it's a great affordable phone in this price range . I have a comment regards the dual sim management system, sometimes when somebody calls me through second card it gives him "This Number is not reachable now , please try again latter" while through this trial i'm not talking trough the first card in that time & the card 2 signal strength in it's peak value | another times it rings normally, actually it rings if i made a dummy call from card 2 ! What is the problem come from ? I know the fact of this phone is a dual stand-by not dual active one . Card 1 working perfect as 2G/3G , no problem at all ,the problem just in card 2 (2G one). I searched over the user manual for any identification for this problem but i reach nothing ... update-> i request another sim card from my card 2 service provider and nothing changes ,the same non reachable message comes and go !
So ....?
You should try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61401484&postcount=17
Im not really sure how duel sim works, i did a brief search but couldnt find the answer i was looking for.
I have a work phone and a personal phone. If the 6t has duel sim am i able to put the sim from my work and personal in it and receive calls and messages from each on the single device? Would i have to switch between which sim i want to use or can both be active at the same time?
Thanks in advance

What would be the point of having a dual SIM if you had to physically switch them? You can use them both evidently.

It's called dual standby.
Both are in the phone, one is the primary the other is secondary.
Primary has all functions including data. Secondary is only calls and SMS.
Primary/Secondary can be switched.

This is correct. If you want to read up on it Google DSDS (dual sim dual standby) DSDA (dual sim dual active). From everything I've read DSDA is less common these days and it required 2 imei's whereas DSDS only requires one imei. A lot of the switching is software based. Any further technical reading is beyond me.
It's great. You do have to pay attention though; it opens up a a new vector to text or call the wrong person when juggling multiple communications.
There are 2 IMEI on the 6t, meaning DSDA
I have some questions about dual sim also...Never used one before. We are considering getting a 6T for my wife because she has her personal phone (T-Mobile) and her work phone (AT&T) that she carries around everywhere. From reading these threads I understand how the calls and data work I think...You only get data on one at a time, but calls in or out on both. But what about contacts from two different carriers (T-Mo) and (AT&T)? Does it just bury them all together or does it separate the two to keep things apart? Thanks in advance for any insight on this and anything else I may need to know about using dual sims.

What do you mean about contacts from the two carriers?
Are they located in two separate google accounts?
Is one set on Outlook and the other on Google?
I'm using the phone on T-Mobile and Verizon and calls and SMS use intelligent routing/return based on the SIM the call/SMS was received.
You do need to turn on that option.
As far as contacts. If you have two Google accounts, I'm not sure.
My Outlook contacts stay in the app and when I dial them I use SIM2 as my personal contacts are Google and all are SIM1.
Hope that helps.

Thanks...It does kind of help, I guess when I'm able to actually see it I will understand it better. I was just worried about my wife's contacts personal and work getting all grouped together under one. Her work phone is Android also but I'm not sure if her work contacts are in the google account or outlook.
Hi guys, just thought I'd share this. Not sure if it's a functionality issue or what.
I've got lon29c636. Still on nougat.
When I set up a sim card for call forwarding and then replace the sim with the Sim card which calls are forwarded to, the call forwarding doesn't work. Which is really annoying because it worked perfectly well on my mate 8. I've always had more than 2 sim cards but obviously with the mate series we only have the luxury of using 2 at the same time. Other than throwing away my other s card does anyone have any ideas or have the same problem.....not buying a third handset by the way. Call forwarding should be fairly simple as it was on my mate 8, S2,S3,S4 and S5.
Thanks for reading, I'd love some ideas or suggestions. Cheers

If you are talking about "call forwarding between SIMs" than it will not work if you remove the SIM card. You need to contact your service provider and ask them to enable call forwarding for your SIM card from their side.
