Well hello in the first line ... I have one big question and I never found any answer about this or any ideea what means:
I bought few days ago one N3 9005 Snp D chipset etc etc .... and they sended me a 4g sim card sayng to be activated only with that phone/tablet/smartthablet ... Well I did it ... but later i tryied to put back my old SIM Card from another plan and from then it happened
1. Strange reboots ( when I put the phone in GSM only mode ) , no network... network selected is not available bouth SIMS are 4g different plans same network Vodafone.
2. When I insert another SIM from Orange in GSM/WCDMA Mode ....saying ... Atention The Network selected Vodafone is not available please try a new search .. well I did .. the networks apear and i try to register it takes like 10-15 minutes at the end is registering but FC .. again the message shows Atention The Vodafone network selected is not available .
I switch to LTE /Auto mode ... everything is fine I can call in Orange/ Vodafone /Cosmote /even I tryied a SIM card T mobile everything is great I can call ... even do sms /push notifications .. until I select again GSM only mode .. when I leav the Metropolitan area and going to country ... when this happen HELL IS coming ... what can it be ?!?!.
I never heared some of you having this problem .. I tryied : STOCKL ROM area SEE/UE / ROOT/ Region Unlock Away .. several things I guessed it was the EFS etc etc ... well EFS IS good I did Back up restored everything is fine ... unless those mentionet above.
3. Another thing : when SIM register in GSM/WCDMA mode .. I can initialise only 2-3 calls .. or receive 2-3 calls from my friends .. after that it shows nertwork like is fine and .. after 20-30 minutes my friends call me on another number saying come oon dude you keep your phone close .. something wrong ? What to say I never close my phone is allways open ... and some other strange thing when .. reboot the phone ... and retry to be if is ok ... I hear a sound like .. the network fail to initiate my call .
4. Yesterday I figured out that in the back space of the battery place .. some oil liquid apeared and is anoying to see that is like when .. the battery leaked or something like that .. but I checked .. to service .. they sayid is normal ?! WTF ?

In my experience certain operators use very sh*tty baseband versions that are very specific to their network - I have seen quite a number of Orange Galaxy S2 models that had that exact weird problem when the phone starts OK and then 30-60 minutes later it goes away from the network and you can no longer receive calls (but you can perfectly make those calls). The fix for those was to write latest official Orange ROM (and make certain that any carrier-unlocking was done in a way that does not f*ck the modem).
I would also seriously document the problem with the oily/watery stuff (photos + writing communication to service) - sh*tty carriers (Orange included) very often deny any form of service at a later time based on anything that triggers the (many) humidity detectors from inside the modern phones.
Atention danger

I just spoked with service guys and showed them the liquid that after some test is electrolite inside the acumulator ( battery ) that leaked from inside becouse they say " several batteryes are made with a small defect/bug and they leaked but is not mentioned how many or if is a lage scale problem .. they just say to change silently and quick the battery " I was crazy when I heared that and first they sayd is my fault becouse I used the device and it becomes very hot ... probably becouse they tryed to full me .
Now ... the prb you just sayd is about ... that NO MORE NETWORK CODES .... ONLY the SIMCARD Activated with teh device can work flawles unless you remove this from the network carrier ... if you activate the mode 4g/lte .... it will be the only mode becouse is the highest .. try to activate first GSM mode only and so one so forth ..... until you get the 1st level .. becouse the device remain activated and set on the 4G/Lte if you do that ... At the end the changed my gadget now everything works fine I activated starting wityh another SIM and step by step register in network ... now I can put .... Orange/including DIgi Mobile Network .. and some other wcdma networks.
PROBLEM SOLVED I MEAN FOR ME ... Don't know for others...
Hello Guys and and moderators of this forum , in the next lines I will explain you one problem with my N9005 in Orange Romania network, and the reasons explained by the network provider:
A few weeks ago my i went outside of my city and the phone changed network to GSM mode everything was fine until i noted that the time outside the city and of course LTE/4G area my mobile data was started but did not received any call ... ok I sayd ... probably it is one problem in network ... when I camed back in city suddenly the network changed and i received like 23 sms and severeal missed calls .... my friends and my bussines partners sayd ... "come ooon dude , you keep your phone closed and we can't have a normal conversation "
I called the client relatiion at 411 and they told me that .... NO Problems with network in the area where I reported the problem , and my phone got the problem.
I went at service and I related that :
In GSM mode with Mobile data activated when Data Transfer is ON ,,,, the arrows shows white and I know is traffic ... I can't receive any voice calls or SMS ... until the traffic stops
After 15 days they send me back the phone saying ... THE N9005 is ok .. the missue related is unprooved
I tested again with the same SIM CARD in front of Service personell and they seen the problem persist .... we take the option to resend in service the terminal .... after another 15 days they sended me back the phone saying again " THE PHONE GOT NO PROBLEM ALSO WE STOPED THIS TREAD BECOUSE IS A BAD JOKE SENDING THIS TERMINAL WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND THE ISSUE IS NOT CONFIRMED "
After that when I received again the terminal .. I insterted a new SIM CARD same from ORANGE RO in the terminal and same thing happened... IN GSM ONLY MODE with EDGE activataed and Traffic on (downloading a game from G Play) I can't receive any Voice call or SMS .... But I camed with the ideea of insterting a SIM CArd from VODAFONE .. and surprise everything works great .... when the same things are ON ... and a voice call is received the data STOPS and the terminal ring ... also same thing with SMS .
I reported this to SAMSUNG ROMANIA they sayd ... only 2 terminals got this problem ... but ORANGE Ro sayd .... IS not our problem with the network ... only with Samsung devices .
AFter I removed the simcard from Orange I insterted the card in a NOKIA 515 ... suddenly the phone got very hot and the battery was very very hot .. and in 5 minutes I got no battery and the phone was closed .
I went in ORange Shop with my phone saying the problem they sayd ... come oon your nokia is a FAKE that's why got hot and the battery was drained suddenly is your phone problem ... I also tryied to explain them that is theyr network having prb .... NO way .. only becouse they don''t recognize this problem . ANY OF YOU ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM ? please write down ... to know about this ...
TO MENTION I HAVE NOW the 5th ORANGE RO simcard and the problems still persist even with a LG G2 and a SGS4 .... Problably this conduct to my S3 I9305 to explode a few months ago ?!?
I suggest you switch carriers

On the one I have the SIM management menu is exactly the same as the Honor 8 menu, so I guess it should be. Not using it yet as I can't get the google part to work...

Dual sim full active means that you can call from your first sim to the second sim and you can accept the call.
Thanks for the explanation. I tried to call the other sim but I go straight to voicemail. I don't have the "accept a second call" option on my main sim, so the same happens once I activate the "call forwarding between sims" option.
screens fyi, hope this helps.
Thank you very much my friend but those are terrible news for me.I was hoping to be a dual sim full active device.

But it never happens on any phone. Any example of calling sim 2 from sim 1 on any phone?
Thats dual active standby means once you are on call on any sim, and you get call on another, you will be notified.
Or if you have data on sim 1 and get call on 2nd sim, data doesn't get turned off.

Yes my friend, that's right. You can also receive a call to sim 2 while you are speaking to sim 1 and put it in hold waiting or answer immediately.
The magic concluded when you're communicating in sim 1 and you can use the data simultaneously from sim 2.

Thats what I said brother.
If you are on a call on sim 1 and get another call on sim 2, you will get notified (during call and you can pick or reject the new call). That what the dual sim standby means. Also, of you have data enabled on sim 1, and gets incoming call on sim 2, your data should not turned off (purpose of dual standby)
What i mentioned is - you can not call from your sim 1 to sim 2 ( in response to the 3rd post on this thread because you can't have one outgoing call and incoming call simultaneously unless the call is answered already or ongoing, screen can not display one outgoing call to sim 2 and incoming call to sim 2 together).
