auto-switch sim depending on number - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

hi there!
bad english
bad questions
but hopefully good answers ;-)
i will get an dual-sim-adapter in a few days.
is there any application which will switch automatic to the preffered sim depending on the number i would call?
eg.:
sim 1 - calls free with 0676 , 0650
sim 2 - calls free with 0699, 0660
other calls sim 1 or sim 2 (doesnt matter)
if i call 0676 and i am booked in to sim 2 the applic will change - otherwise not
does anybody know what i mean and wheater there is a software able to do?!
greatings
werner

Grüezi !
As far as I know there is software that is used to switch from Sim 1 to Sim 2, but not based on the number you dial.
Think you might be asking too much there.

1 SIM Card 2 GSM Network Lines

Hi there!
I'm just wondering if there's any of you guys know if there is a way to integrate 2 different GSM network lines in to 1 SIM card? I know that it's possible to have 2 different lines of the same network provider as it's been offered by most GSM networks nowadays.
You're inputs will be very much appreciated
Yes it`s possible, you can have up to 10 providers on 1 sim card BUT it works on telephones i don`t know about pocket pc`s.
1 you need special clean sim card (Silver card).
2 you need special device or people who has it (http://www.smartsim.ru/programmators.htm).
3 you need working sim card(s) of operators.
thats all.
My friend in Moscow has it. It has a telephone (t610).
Search for it over internet to buy.

what do you mean with 1 sim 2 network lines?
that you have 2 phone numbers on 1 simcard? so that you can receive on 1 phone 2 different phone numbers?
Hello,
I have a greem card, with 3 diferent numbers, that belong to diferents operators. The program is sim emulator and you need to have specific software and hardware. I bought to a guy in Portugal. Its very nice to call somebody, using the best price. Its not possible to have all the numbers receiving at the same time. Usually we have the main number and we have numbers from another operators to call more cheap for people that belong to operators diferent from the main number i have.
you can visit this site and learn ou ask how to do it:

tnx m8 I'm going to have look.
Does there need to be special software on the phone too?
In case of having two or more lines configured in a SIM card... Is there a way of switching programmatically between them? ... probably using TAPI?

prog. for dual sim ...

Hello,
is there any possibility to know what sim of a dual sim is activated???
i want to write a plugin (homescreen eg.) that shows me ok sim 1 or sim 2 ...
maybe there's an internal sim serial or so that we can readout the phone and use??
please help
thx steve
I had the same thought when I got mine.
I just use phonealarm - the scroller can be set up to display the current phone number.
Takes a couple of minutes to update, but works well.
Folks
Can I ask which dual sim adaptor are you using with your Hermes, and which networks?

Dual sim adaptor 10th generation (with Sim Tool Kit) and two 64k or more SIM cards, network doesn't matter.
See the FAQs on the wiki:

If you want to program yourself...
I saw many apps showing IMSI code of the SIM. This code is unique for each SIM.
...
anyone knows a programm that reads such fings? and shows on home screen??
or is there any app available that reads out the phone nr. of the sim and shows on home screen??
steve
Apologies for delay in replying.
PhoneAlarm does do what you want, you just need a skin with a scroller region. Not all skins have them, including the ones you get by default. Try the SWIIQVGA or HGS6 skins. You'll also need to go into config to set the Telephone # as being displayed in the scroller.
You can create your own skins too. If you want you can create a skin with only a scroller region and set it to only display the tel # I suppose. Should be able to set the size of the text too.
BTW I use the sam as Pof. Works OK, if you can overcome your fear of taking a pair of scissors to your SIM cards.

SIM Card recognition / diverted calls

Hi all,
just wondering about an issue, that must concern many who have two SIMcards, one for business and one private.
I normally have my private SIM card in the device (TRION), so that when I call friends, they see its me through my caller ID. I have my business SIM card diverted, so calls are transferred to my private number.
The trouble is, I cant see on which card the call is coming in, since I cant allways identify if its a business or private call by the caller ID in my display, cause sometimes I just dont knwo the number or there isnt any. After hours I just dont want to take business calls, but taking out the diversion is to much effort.
Nokia devices have a little arrow that indicates this. Does anyone have a clue for WM5 ??
Greetings
Paddy
I've got excactly the same question. I already thought about connecting a second device with the buisness card to my pc at home and enable/disable the diversion with the help of a webinterface (and call it via start menu).
Anybody outthere, that knows a fix ?
I would be extremly grateful! donateful ;-)
Paddy
I've the same question .

Wallpaper change based on SIM switched on

I have a Vodafone's TWIN sim card in which I have 2 different numbers: professional number and private number.
I am not concious about what SIM I have switched on in every specific moments so I am spending my money in professional calls and viceversa.
Everytime I want to change from one number to the other I have 2 possibilities:
1.- Turn off and Turn on the Phone in Comm Manager and enter PIN
2.- Use STK Service, selece which number I want ot switch on and enter PIN
I have been searching for a long time a program that changes the Wallpaper (or that writes anything in the main screen) based on the SIM I have switched on so I can be aware about what is the current active SIM at every moment. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything yet.
Also, is there any program to turn off and then turn on the phone with just one click as I am using it very often? Something to switch between sims in a TWIN sim card without entering the PIN?
Could anybody give me any idea? Any program that could help me for some of the mentioned purposes? Any forum in where I could continue my search?
Thank you very much in advance...
for no pin just take the pin of the sim card from the sim card settings. A nokia phone may help you...
Is not there anybody who can help me a little more?
Thank you in advance.....

S5 Duos (SM-G900FD) - Lock contacts to Sim1 or Sim2?

I've got an S5 Duos and want to know if it's possible to natively (or with an app) set specific contacts in my phone to a specific SIM automatically? i.e. it will auto call or text a contact using SIM 1 each and every time?
I use SIM 1 for my day to day usage calling family, works colleagues etc but I also have tenants who I only call or text using SIM 2 (I don't want them to have my other number on SIM 1) so want to keep them separate. I've looked everywhere but can't find a way to do this other than using the utterly useless Chomp SMS which mixes up SIM1 and SIM2 randomly and regularly, without warning which causes no end of issues.
It's such a simple an obvious issue I cannot believe Samsung haven't written this into the phone as standard.
Anyone got any feedback on this for what must be a really common issue?

Thanks but I've already tried this and it doesn't work. Won't lock a contact to a particular SIM even when you set it to. The phone still asks which SIM to use before sending which is what I wanted to avoid.
