Beep on Bluetooth volume change since 7.0 update? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since my update to Android 7.0 yesterday am I am hearing a beep sound on every volume change step when using Bluetooth. It occurs with multiple apps and Bluetooth devices so it is definitely the OS, and didn't occur when using 6.0. This is extremely annoying yet I cannot find any way to turn it off( ?) Gawd, I hope this isn't a Nougat 'improvement'...

Audio and Data issues after firmware upgrade

Not sure what numbers I should give you so Im going to give you everything.
Current firmware version : PDA:LPD / PHONE:LPB / CSC:LPD (TMU)
Model number : GT-I9100
Android version : 4.0.3
Baseband version : I9100BVLPB
Kernel version : [email protected]#3
Build number : IM74K.BVLPD
The phone is a UK SGS II, has not been rooted. It is running the official T-Mobile ICS Rom.
A couple of days ago I noticed an intermittent but significant loss of data. I could be in the same place for hours and it would happen, I could be on the move and it would happen. I decided to use Samsung Kies to see of there was a firmware upgrade and would reset the phone. This was done yesterday.
Today I have had lots of issues. Data again will come and go at will, the data icon in the taskbar will disappear intermittently. I have also lost SOME audio. By some I mean the following:
No audio from media via the speaker, either stored on the phone or over the internet. Tried BBC iPlayer, Youtube, Samsung Music Hub. Audio on the phone played through headphones was fine.
Ringtones work fine, but when I answer a call there is nothing from the earpiece. Switch to speaker and I can hear the caller.
Notification tones seem to be working fine.
No keypad tones from phone screen. I have checked to make sure that keypad tones is activated.
No 'system sounds'.
I have been into the menu for volumes (Menu, Settings, Sound, Volumes) and:
if I move the media slider I hear nothing (though I do get the 'harmful' warning when the slider is pushed all the way to the right
if I move the Ringtone Slider I can hear the ringtone playing back in relation to the slider position
if I move the Notification slider I can hear the notification tone playing back in relation to the slider position
if I move the System slider I hear nothing at all
The odd thing is that earlier in the day it was working, then part way through the afternoon I got nothing.
I have spoken to T-Mobile who were less than useless. First of all they said that T-Mobile did not recommend upgrading from Gingerbread to ICS, this is despite the rom in the phone being the official T-Mobile branded ICS rom that they released and I upgraded to through Samsung Kies. Their only answer was to take it back to the shop and they would send it away to be downgraded back to Gingerbread.
Is this likely to solve the problem? I am sceptical. The phone has been running fine on ICS for maybe a month, or since the official ICS rom was released anyway, its only in the past couple of days that I have had a problem.
I cant see it being a hardware issue as the speaker is obviously working for me to hear ringtones and be able to hold a phone call on speakerphone (though that doesnt rule out a hardware issue with the earpiece). I was originally thinking more a software conflict somewhere, so thats why I decided to try a reset and firmware upgrade. I have run it with just a couple of apps from Google Play, Facebook and Tunein Radio to be precise and it still had the same issues, and then tried it without installing anything from Google Play, just transferring a single music file from my PC to the phone and that didnt work either. The track played, but there was no audio to hear via the speaker. If I connect headphones to the 3.5mm socket I can hear the audio perfectly fine.
Im hoping someone has some input on this before I go to the store with the phone tomorrow. Has anyone experienced similar issues?
Cheers in advance
Ive been looking a bit further into this and Im wondering if the headphone socket may be to blame?
Ive had a couple of people take a look at the headphone socket, and the general consensus is that it doesnt look right. One thinks that maybe a pin is bent and the bottom of the socket just looks 'wrong'. Thoughts?

Note 4 random volume decrease after MM update

Hi,
I have noticed that after I manually updated to MM, the ring volume of my phone goes low randomly. Can any one tell me if there is any solution to this. I have the 6.0.1 version from may. Is there any newer one that might fix the issue, as I am rooted and not getting any update notifications.

Bluetooth Volume doesn't stick after Nougat Update

My nexus isn't rooted or unlocked, took the OTA to nougat. Now the bluetooth volume always resets to the middle after a reconnect. This is very annoying as I have to readjust the volume on my phone every time I get into my vehicle. Does anybody know how to make it remember the volume?
Also have this problem
Also have this problem. No reasonable solution found yet.
Same problem. Any solution?
I also have this problem, solutions ????

Problem with microphone on headphones after nougat update

My wife and I both updated to Nougat a couple of days ago. Love it overall. We've only had one problem and it's the same one. The microphone on the headphones no longer works on either of our phones. We have looked at every setting we can find to see if somehow there is a toggle that can be changed or something. No luck this far. Are we missing a setting that can fix this? Has anyone else had this problem?
I just noticed this is likely the wrong section for this question. I don't see how to move it. My apologies.

I am having the same problem, I must have factory reset twice and the problem still persists.
I don't think that it is the hardware, I feel it is the software and a nasty bug.
The volume with mine comes and goes and when I am speaking on the phone during speaker mode, they can't hear me.
You are not alone abit that this bug is not affecting a lot of users, but it does exist.

Glad to hear it isn't just my wife and I. A friend of ours has an Edge also on T-Mobile and the upgrade didn't have the same result for them. Hoping a workaround is figured out or an update to fix the issue.

My issue was previous to the update so it has to be a bug with the Android 6.1 os and sound (still happens with 7.0)
This will happen when I am streaming Youtube for more than 10 minutes, the volume will drop while the video is still playing. Then it will come back on within a minute to 30 seconds randomly.
When I am having a phone call using the speaker phone, the volume will drop. The other person on the phone can't hear me but I can hear them.. I have to turn off speaker phone and cradle the phone like a normal person would, thus not able to use the speaker phone.
When I am having a phone call hands free when I am driving using bluetooth, the conversation will start out ok , but then after 3 minutes or so, the other person can't hear me. I can hear them but they cant hear me. I have to turn off bluetooth and cradle the phone.
I hope there is a patch for this or a root being released to that I can flash another rom to get around this nasty bug.
Dear markmain2. 0
Do you have still this issue or solved it?
I have no issue after upgrade. Did you have chance to change the other earpiece or original one.
this has been an issue since the BETA. apparently they don't listen lol. has to be software related, if someone has time they could always revert to MM and see if it works again

Helloo there,
I recently (barely 2 weeks ago, gave in to temptation) upgraded my 6 month old S7 edge to nougat. Couple of days after the update mid-call handsfree mic goes MIA.
Switched headsets having intermittent mic outage again.
Did you manage to sort it out ??
Any help would be much appreciated. My work involves being on the phone 7-8 hours a day and I need to be handsfree ona wired headset.
Just cant be done without.

Issues with notification sound when connected to Bluetooth

Hey all,
I am facing an issue on my OnePlus phone. I am facing this issue on the latest open beta [pie][9.0].
My device isn't rooted. Its completely stock.
So, here is my issue.
After I updated my phone to open beta on oreo. The first open beta one which had facial recognition. So, after updating to it I noticed that the notification sound doesn't play when I am connected to any bluetooth device. It gets transfered to that device and due to which I miss many important notifications on whatsapp.
I use a sony bluetooth earphone which is always connected to my device for answering calls and multitasking throughout the call. This is why I keep it connected.
Is there any fix for this?
Thank you!
