WiFi use? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

I'm having a funky issue with WiFi. The default Battery Monitor software is showing: Wi-Fi running @ 1d 1h 46min and 38 secs, CPU total 5s, and Computed power use 206 mAH. Yet not once this charge cycle has WiFi ever even been turned on. What would it be doing in the background even with WiFi off, listening for beacons?

Same for me :-? I reported the bug

Phone Idling at 400-420 milliamps

After seeing the charts done by Sky with the kernal comparison using CurrentWidget, i decided to install that on my setup. I was shocked to find out that after 10 minutes of screen off, sleep it was idle at 410MA average. The smallest I saw was 360. That seems rediculously high. I have noticed a massive drain like many others seem to have as well. I unplugged from the charger at 11am today, no facebook, no games, 2 texts, and checked email once. I am now sitting at 60 percent.
With or without SetCPU it still has very high draw.
Has anybody with high battery drain installed CurrentWidget and checked to see what the ma draw is?
Setup:
Fresh 3.3.0.1 w/stock kernal
No setCPU and with SetCPU (Screen off profile: powersave 245. Conservative governor screen on.)
Newest radio, wimax, prl, nv (0 TWS)
Wifi, GPS, everything off, including random account syncs and Google Talk
Using froyo unrooted w/ latest updates I get 300 half brightness
Edit: more testing shows 230 mA with backlight off and 198 with it at half??
Edit2: I can pull a max of 688 with the works running a speed test. Bluetooth 4g WiFi gps hotspot max brightness. Still no oc.
Edit3: some things I noticed: task managers do not save battery (already knew that, first empirical example), moving widgets around the screen can get your current draw as high as having all of the radios on at max brightness.
Final idle power draw is 180 mA.

Battery Consumption statistics

Usually when i check the history of my battery consumption the display takes the biggest chunk (abt 70%).
Recently i have started to notice that cellphone standby and phone idle take 20% and 15% respectively. Is this normal ?
I have no CPU issue or any syncing issues. Normally i have syncing, WiFi and 3g turned off when the phone is not in use or when i sleep.

Ofc it's normal if you've been using the phone less so the screen is on for a lower % of the time and doesn't use the battery as much. And the fact that this has recently started to happen suggests that as the device isn't so new anymore you are playing less with it

If you set the backlight to Auto ... it would be the case.
For me .. by just setting the display to lowest backlight setting .... the power consumption for display drops to about 35%.

[Q] Battery drain in deep sleep

Hello,
I have a rooted stock nexus 7.
I have the following situation:
I turn the screen off and leave it for 30 minutes. Using better battery stats and cpu spy I verify that 28 minutes were deep sleep and the rest around 200-340mhz.
When I check batter monitor widget (set at refresh once every minute) i see that I have around 343-156 mah drain in all those 30 minutes.
I even forced my cpu frequency when screen is off to 51mhz and by using cpu spy verify it is indeed true. When checking with battery monitor widget I still get values around 343-156 mah. Also tried to force at 100, 240mhz - still the same values.
Wifi, gps, bluetoth, nfc is off.
Partial wakelocks are (sumed all of them) 3-4 minutes total.
Anyone has any ideas regarding the source of the problem ?
Thank you !

[Q] Android OS WakeLock/Bad Battery Life On Tmobile Galaxy Note 3

Hello, Thank you in advance for your time, This is my issue.
Im having Mediocre Battery life to what i would expect from a note device, Getting 8-12 Hours on a single charge, When i look at the default android Battery stats app I see that "Android OS" is taking up the most battery life, with the following info below it in this instance
-CPU Total: 26m 26s
-Stay awake: 1h 49m 35S
-Data Sent: 127kb
-Data Recieved: 300kb
When i look at Wake Lock Dectector, I have no major wake locks listed, the biggest being Exchange Services with 110 Wakes and 2m 13s of total wake time
When i use Battery Stats plus, here is some general Information i get:
-Battery Usage: Android OS is the highest with
A) 33% of battery usage
B)26m of CPU total
C)2 h 44m of partial Wake lock
-Battery Usage: Its also worth noting Google Services Framework is also listed as using 9% of the battery with 43m 14s of partial wake lock with the followign stats
A) 7m 4 s CPU total
B) 2s CPU Foreground
C) 43m 14s Parital Wakelock
D) 330kb of data sent, and 341 of Data Recieved
E) 12m 7s of Sensor
F) 9 Starts
-Under wake usage, the top listed app is "Google Services Framwork with 43m 14s of Wake
-Under Sensor Storage(which is at 7h 33m) Security storage is listed first with 53m 6s of Usage.
Other Things to know:
-I did not allow Tmobile to Collect Diagnostic
Does anyone else have this issue? or know of a fix?
Exhange Services = non-gmail Email Sync. You probably have it set to auto sync.

Should be software related ...
As anyone has his own usage of the phone, I can only compare to my previous phone which was a Galaxy Note 2 LTE.
Usually, Note 2 was charged to 100% around 10PM then set to plane mode, Alarm triggering on the next morning at 6am.
1st day : => battery loss : 100% to 98%
Then I set plane mode off before going to work.
At the end of the day: battery percentage was around 50%-55%.
Then again, Plane mode on, one night sleep, 6am alarm
2nd day : => plane mode off.
Then I set plane mode off before going to work.
At the end of the day: battery percentage was around 5%.
With the note 3, with the same usage :
1st day : => battery loss : none (100% in the morning)
At the end of the day: batteray percentage around 75%-80%
2nd day : => at the end of the day : battery percentage around 45%-50% !
3rd day : => at the end of the day : battery percentage around 10% !
completion oess
My Husband and I both have a T Mobile Note 3, He starts off in the Am with 100% after charging through the night from 11pm to 7am. He and I also both have 4g LTE service throughout the whole day- At Work he has his Bluetooth on from 7 am to 8 pm solid, plus normal calls and data consumption- with No auto Sync setting enabled- and then After having WiFi on for about 2-3 Hours when he gets home, He still has at least 75% battery after all of that!!! The lowest the battery has been after that same use 6 days per week, was 66%! And that is with Not charging it at all during the day! Compared to his Note 2 which was regularly at 10% to 20% every night with only an hour of WiFi turned on when he got home and the usual day time uses stated above.
My Note 3 after having Boot Loop issues has been similar- I have about 85-90% left after a day of having WiFi on ALL Day, and making an average of 4 hours of calls- (per day to T Mobile and Samsung). I love this phone- even with my BootLoop Issue!

[Q] Wifi standby

Hi all,i have a "problem" with my g2 and how it behaves with wifi on standby
When i leave my phone sleep with wifi off the drain is nothing and the graphic is flat but when i leave it the same with wifi on its like on the second screenshot and thats a problem because(for example)i lock my phone with exactly 60% with wifi on and after some mins i unlock it,use it for a min or almost 2 but not more and it drains the percentage fast to 59% and with that i have less battery time so i want to know if there's any solution to that or is this is normal for a g2?
I have all location off,gps off and i don't use google now.
Thanks.
That's perfectly normal. But if you want to have better control of your wifi I would recommend. This app.
