such-i959 signal and back, menu buttons stop - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I have buy St i959 unlocked
I used it for month with 4.4.2
But when I updated it to lollipop 5.0.1
Signal (cdm)) stopped and back, menu button stop also
I tried to solve this.
The signal when I restart phone appears for 30 seconds
and a message comes saying (refreshing uim card data)
and signal then disappeared.
I tried to inter sim uim setting but I can't because the setting page can't be interred (it say no sim uim card)
What I can do
Restart phone and quickly go to sim setting and sllect network manually
Can't search cdma it automatically
But I sheached GSM in this slot (3 networks avillabe)
as always signal listed
But the page setting still and I choose this time searching cdma networks
In this point the signal comebacks
And I can dial send messages
..
What happens. I will wait days to see
But back, menu buttons don't work
UPDATE:
after restarting phone or use airplane mode
the network lost again
And i must repeat the search as explained above.

no 3g icon or internet on my nexus s

hello everyone, my nexus s 4g is flashed to boost, i been using it for 3 months without problems but in the last 2 weeks the internet was working too slow and i did a hard reset to the phone with the dial code (*#*#786#*#*)
after the hard reset the phone didn't have service because the msid and phone # changed, i went into cdma workshop and restore the msid and phone # and the phone was working again, i can make and receive calls and send and receive texts
but now my problem is that the phone don't show the 3g icon and doesn't connect to internet
i will appreciate if somebody can help me get the 3g working again
thanks
This may sound stupid, but s mobile data enabled in settings -> wireless & network settings -> mobile networks ?
If it is, then have you tried enabling airplane mode and then disabling it? There are times when my NxS drops 3G connection for no apparent reason and this is one way I can get it back.
I saw this posted in the radio guide as way to "retrieve 3G data connection"
Code:
1. Go to Dialer. Dial *#*#4636#*#*
2. Go to Phone information. Choose the preferred network to
"GSM Auto PRL" or "CDMA Auto PRL" or whatever you have.
3. Scroll down, deactivate and activate Phone Radio.
4. Press Menu button.
5. Select Phone frequency, then choose your country.
6. In the previous menu push the Home button to go back to Homescreen.
7. Reboot.

Loss of signal, no WCDMA/LTE, only weak 2G GSM signal - what is wrong?

Hello,
I have a huge problem with my Galaxy S5 SM-G900F. I bought it abroad and when I used it for the first time in my country I saw, that there is a problem with 4G/WCDMA connection. When I put my sim card to the phone and set all the preferences in mobile connection menu to "Auto" there is no possibility to call or to recieve calls (even if i saw signal strength meter showing some marks). I can only recieve and making call when I set "only 2G" option and manually select my network. But signal is also very poor.
What I have checked yet:
1. Other sim also doesn't work good.
2. After *#06# i saw my IMEI and it is the same under the battery and on the box (doesn't start from "00") so i think that it is not missed (efs folder).
3. Change firmware with KIES and ODIN for the other version - no changes. Also flash some other "modem" files with Odin with no success in better signal.
4. When im on the free air the signal strength is even at maximum level, but immidiately after going to my house - there is no signal. I saw also, that when im in the city i can connect with 2G network (only), but when im on a village there is no signal at all (even 2G...)
Do you have any ideas what can be wrong? Is this hardware failure? Maybe something with antenna? What should I do before going to gsm service center? Maybe i should change kernel and try some of the custom roms?
Thank you for your help.
regards
Mario

Maybe there is a region lock? Does the Imei start with 35xxxxxx? Does the S5 support the local 4G bands of your provider? Maybe ask your provider for a new simcard. Correct APN settings applied?
My IMEI starts with "35....". Samsung S5 should be able to connect with WCDMA/4G LTE bands in my country. My sim card was changed about 3 months ago, so it is good - i have checked it in nexus 5 and everything works very well. All APN settings are applied.
How can i check if the phone has region lock? The phone is from UK and now I live in Poland.

You can check on the box. If is has region lock, there will be a warning message printed on the box.
Is there any warning message in the notification bar?
And please check as below:
While the phone is receiving LTE/WCDMA signal, open the Dialer, enter *#0011# --> capture screenshot (1).
Then press Menu > Back entry (not Back key) > Menu > Key Input > Q0 > wait for some seconds... > MAIN MENU > DEBUG SCREEN > NAS INFORMATION > MM INFORMATION --> capture screenshot (2). And then Menu > Back entry MM REJECT CAUSE --> capture screenshot (3).
And post these 3 screenshots.
I was able to connect to wcdma signal (I think) for some minutes. I give you all screenshots.

Is your network Polkomtel?
The error cause is: No suitable cells in location area - This cause is sent to the phone if it requests location updating in a location area where the subscriber, by its subscription, is not allowed to operate, but when it should find another allowed location area in the same network.
So may need to give this information to your network operator and ask them to fix.
So it is not the phone problem? It is my network operator error?
My network is Play P4, but this provider has no transmitters for his own in Poland (or has very few). He is able to use all of transmitters in Poland through the roaming (so teoretically i can connect with Polkomtel, T-Mobile and orange transmitters)
T-Mobile No Signal
Hi, este you able to fix your problem, ir so can you Please tell me how?

Leon LTE (MS345) Problem: "Searching..." forever but SIM is OK

Just posting this in case somebody has some ideas. I've had a MetroPCS LG Leon LTE (MS345) for over a year without problems, but now it started losing its mobile connection sporadically, for a few minutes or a few hours, as if there was no SIM in the phone.
Symptoms:
The 4G indicator disappears from the notification bar (signal strength indicator shows good signal).
The lock screen says "Searchng..."
Calls fail with the "Emergency Calls Only" message
SMS won't send
I get a "Service Unavailable" error when I choose Settings/Call/Additional Settings
WiFi is unaffected (and WiFi calling seems to work, though it has always been hit or miss)
Things I've already tried:
Checked relevant settings, APNs, etc
Checked the contacts on the SIM socket, all looks good.
Reset Phone to factory defaults
Replaced SIM (MetroPCS did this for free)
New phones are relatively cheap, but I don't have a burning desire to upgrade, so I'm hoping for another option.
I'm having this same problem. I left for an area with no service and came back to an area with service to find that my phone will constantly state Emergency Calls Only and no service. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Note 4 - Not Registered on Network and Doesn't work properly when registered.

Hello,
my note 4 - n910G recently started acting weird. It would register to the Vodafone AU, but if i try to call, it would show "Not registered to Network"
Also, sometimes everything works fine for like few minutes. 4g, calls, sms, everything sim related works. and then it would stop working again. it will still be connected to the network, but nothing works. the mobile data sign on status bar shows that Sending is green, but Receiving is nothing when this happens.
EDIT: Sometimes it wouldn't register at all too.
I have tried, factory reset, changed sim, and even done Device Initialization from Smart Switch, because for some reason, ODIN with re-partition pit was not deleting the data in the phone.
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: so I can use 2g all the time. it's only 4g or 3g which is not stable. 4g network gets registered fast, but doesn't work most of the time. 3g takes way too much time to register, and works a for few minutes before going down.
Is it the network cable or something else? please help.
Same with me when I am in low network coverage area. In the same place same sim card works no problem in another phone.
I did:
1. Restart device and switch on/off airplane mode
2. Change different sim cards
3. Factory reset device
4. Installed root and custom rom (LineageOs). Problem first time occured on stock rom, without root, knox 0x0...
I am not sure, since I am first time using Note 4 in this area, but I think problem might happend sincet latest update...
I was thinking to buy S8 or Note 8 but after this I am not sure...
Some more update:
When 4g sometkmes works, it switches off the phone completely and have to replace the battery to turn on the mobile. Cannot just press the power button to turn on the mobile after it switches of

So, did you fixed this bug?? I have same thing time-time.... ((
The issue is because you have a US Carrier variant of the Note 4, which isn't designed to work on GSM networks.

Dата connection lost

hi everybody,
My Xiaomi MI A1 32GB lost data connection several times a day. I have only a visual notification - X symbol within signal strength bar(not above like should be in this case). This symbol in general is regarding roaming connectivity, but i am at my home network. When i enter in Settings and deactivate/activate the SIM, the data starts again. All the time i dial and answer the calls, it is only related to data connection in my home network.
Any idea how to fix it in other way, may be to install network signal booster app?
This is an Android 8.0 bug, not a phone one, right?
Regards,
I've had the same issue when using two SIMs. To fix the issue temporarily, I switched to flight mode for a few seconds, then it worked for a while.
Now I've switched of the second SIM card and since then the issue never happened again. So if you don't need two SIMs, I'd suggest to turn one SIM off temporarily till the problem is fixed. Maybe it is already fixed in the February update.
